Retro_Link Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 First Trailer is going to be shown before Captain America Winter Soldier.
ReZourceman Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 The fact that her face has no definition is scary.
Agent Gibbs Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 those spoilers i don't like mythologies changing to movie adaptations unless its thoughtfully done....that doesn't sound anything other than an over simplification for the sake of putting a M bay spin on it
Retro_Link Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 Oh god I see what they mean about a dark tone!! It has the same vibe to it as an end of a Trilogy/'end of the world' film, like Transformers 3. Lighten up Bay you bastard! This is the Turtles!!
Ramar Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I don't know if I'm going to like this, but have to go see it.. Such a strange feeling.
ReZourceman Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Dreadful trailer, but think the film looks fucking sweet. Well up for it.
Ronnie Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Megan Fox and Michael Bay, way to ruin a film. I did chuckle at the end though.
Jonnas Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 *Sees the trailer start with explosions in a tower* Me: Whose decision was it to start a Turtles trailer like th- *Michael Bay's name comes up on-screen* Me: ...Right. I don't really know what to think of this, but as long as they keep some turtle-bantering, it should be alright.
Retro_Link Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) Your both right, April's Dad and Mahone to be Shredder worked together to create 'the heroes the world needs'. ... because the world is crying out for over sized Turtles, that scare the bejezus out of everyone and have to hide in the sewers. Edited March 27, 2014 by Retro_Link
ReZourceman Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I embrace a new take on the mythos. Also this movie introduces Karai, who is in the cartoon. And who is fucking sick.
bryanee Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Love the new turtle designs. Mikey got a chuckle out of me.
MoogleViper Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I embrace a new take on the mythos. Agreed. If they hadn't done a new take people would be crying, "Looks so generic. What was the point in making a film if you're just going to rehash old stuff?" Lighten up you miserable cunts.
jayseven Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 It's going to be transformers. But with turtles. That's it. Won't be the best movie ever but it will have cool bits and parts that make you lol... but it won't win any awards. Not really sure what people are expecting.

Or it could be the TMNT equivalent of Nolan's Batman. Which I believe many of the people in this thread originally whinged about. "Heath Ledger as Joker? Stupid casting. Nobody will ever top Jack Nicholson."
EEVILMURRAY Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Which I believe many of the people in this thread originally whinged about."Heath Ledger as Joker? Stupid casting. Nobody will ever top Jack Nicholson." Still true.
Agent Gibbs Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 hmmmm i'm not sure now......it looked okay.....maybe i could get over a new origin story how will splinter work then? oh god, father and mentor to the turtles....they wouldn't make him April's father turned into a Rat by Shredder would they after he betrayed him in the hero making process i mean Aprils father creates the turtles Splinter is cannon as their father.... could be a change too far for me
MoogleViper Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Maybe he was always a rat, and April's mum was into bestiality. Wut?
jayseven Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Won't be a nolanisation. The humour is already too heavy for that. It could still be good, and honestly it looks like a lot of fun - but it's not going to be genre-defining like the batman trilogy was, and I doubt it will provide anything new story-wise. But it will be entertaining, which will be enough!
Cube Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Thinking about it, we may still be missing a lot of details. It's entirely possible that April's dad was attempting to make superhumans (unsuccessfully) and some of the chemical he was developing ended up in the sewers and miraculously worked on a group of turtles.
bob Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I think that's far more likely than they set out to make giant talking turtles to act as heros.
