Sheikah Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Who wants to buy me a Vita? I will exchange for... increased PM storage.... I'm still waiting for mine, apparently there was some issue with increasing my inbox. :p
Magnus Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Well, if you didn't buy him a Vita, there's the issue.
drahkon Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Wait, so a PSVita version didn't already exist? No cross-buy then...
Daft Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Soul Sacrifice sequel has been pitched to Sony - Inafune Good stuff.
bryanee Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Well I'm a Vita owner now and I got stuck in properly for the first time today. The first thing I did after copying my PS+ content to my Vita was to try Uncharted, it looks and plays fantastic. Kinda prefer it to Uncharted 3 right now. Next up was AC which is just brilliant. It looks great and feels just like a home console version of AC. I've been having a couple of issues with the sound not kicking in quick enough for some sound effects but other than that I'm having a blast with it. The only really complaints I have right now are the analogue sticks and speakers. The speakers just aren't loud enough and the sticks could of been a touch bigger but I guess I'll get used to them. First impressions are good. The console is nice a sleek and easier to hold than I thought it would be. The buttons are nice and click, the d-pad is fantastic. I have more games to try later.
-Dem0- Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Sounds good. I've been interested in a Vita for some time, just looking around for great deals on memory cards first.
drahkon Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 The speakers just aren't loud enough Headphones all the way. I use these and the sound quality is amazing.
Shorty Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Is 4GB big enough for any Vita game? If I get a Vita I'd probably get a cheap card now and a more expensive one once my bank acct had recovered.
Magnus Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 As long as you're fine with only downloading one or two retail games at a time, it should be fine.
Cube Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I have Everybody's Golf, MGS HD. Puddle and Thomas Was Alone installed on my Vita. I was unable to install Virtue's Last Reward. And that is on an 8GB card.
Magnus Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I have no idea about Everybody's Golf, but the Metal Gear Solid Collection is over 3 GB, so that probably doesn't help. I looked around a bit, and the largest games seemed to be about 3.3 GB.
Dcubed Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I have no idea about Everybody's Golf, but the Metal Gear Solid Collection is over 3 GB, so that probably doesn't help. I looked around a bit, and the largest games seemed to be about 3.3 GB. That still amazes me. How on earth did they manage to squeeze down MGS2 and MGS3 into just 3GBish, without any noticeable reduction in audio or video quality!? Hell MGS3 on its own on PS2 and 3DS is over 3GB!
Shorty Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Vita currently £179 with Soul Sacrifice, plus Fifa 13 download code and 30 days PS+... sorely tempted, if I thought I could sell the latter two for reasonable amounts. Not really interested in Soul Sacrifice either... So if I pessimistically got £25 for Soul Sacrifice, £10 for Fifa and £5 for PS+, that would make the console £139, which is the same price as a "Used - Like New" reboxed Vita currently goes for straight up on amazon... plus I have a £25 voucher... too many ellipses..... I am really fighting this right now.
Magnus Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 God, Shorty. Just buy one already. Or don't. Maybe you should think about it some more.
Shorty Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I was going to buy one when I read your first point but then you had a good point with the second point so I didn't.
-Dem0- Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I am really fighting this right now. Keep fighting. I'm waiting for a Deal. If I find one I'll let you know and vice versa.
dwarf Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 If I find one I'll let you know and vice versa. That's very presumptive.
Shorty Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 If I find one I'll let you know and vice versa. I ended up getting a Used - Like New Vita from Amazon which was stupid cheap yesterday (£133.50) but has just jumped to £160.37. It has a 30 day money-back guarantee so I'll return it if it really isn't "Like New". But if you're interested in Soul Sacrifice and/or Fifa 13 the best deal possible right now must be the this amazon bundle for £179 (drops when you checkout) - you get a hard copy of Soul Sacrifice, 30 days PS+ (so that's going to net you Virtue's Last Reward, DoA5, Gravity Rush and Uncharted for starters) and although it says a code for Fifa Football, everyone has been getting Fifa 13 instead. Soul Sacrifice hasn't really interested me so I'm going to live on a few months back catalogue of PS+ titles until I get Persona 4 Also grabbed a 16GB memory card for £30 delivered on eBay.
Ike Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I ended up getting a Used - Like New Vita from Amazon which was stupid cheap yesterday (£133.50) but has just jumped to £160.37. It has a 30 day money-back guarantee so I'll return it if it really isn't "Like New". Mine was apart from the broken charger cable, the Vita itself was perfect though.
Shorty Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 My memory card didn't arrive at work today -_- so even if the console arrives today, or tomorrow, I'm guessing I won't be able to do anything at all with it until at least Monday.
Magnus Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 The possibility of ending up in that situation was exactly why I ordered everything from the same website when I got my Vita, even though it meant I had to get a 32 GB memory card. Of course, it just meant everything got delayed instead. "Delivery before Christmas guaranteed" my butt.
Agent Gibbs Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 what size memory card did you go for? i bought a 32gb and its perfect to have everything on but i think a 16gb would have been enough, its only because the 32gb was £20 more i bought it
Magnus Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 He got a 16 GB one. I'm actually really pleased that I got a 32 GB memory card in retrospect, but paying £80 for it at the time was not a pleasant experience.
