And a slightly more boring (but only slightly ;) ) purchase.

A pack of 5 pairs of socks from Next, because my girlfriend keeps stealing them and they end up at her house so I usually spend every morning hunting down a clean bastard pair even though I do laundry every few days!!

Dude, that’s not the belt you will be wearing with your outfit on that picture in the forum users pictures thread where you said something along the lines of “maybe I need a belt”, is it? Because that would be the wrong belt. Next time, I’ll choose a belt for you!

Dude, that's not a belt, it's a wrist strap.

I want that power rack so bad.

What brand were the weights in the end? What finish? (it doesn't really matter, weights are weights, but I'm curious :D)

Is it wrong that I'm genuinely excited for you?

Everything is by Bodymax. The weights are a cast finish. I've actually added some more now, so got a total of 120kg worth of plates.

2 x 20KG

2 x 15KG

2 x 10KG

4 x 5KG

4 x 2.5KG

4 x 1.5KG

If you're ever up North, pop in for a visit

'Mirin hard. :D

At the moment, I've got...

2 x 25kg

4 x 10kg

4 x 5kg

4 x 2.5kg

6 x 1.25kg

some 0.5kgs too.

Next on my list is to get some 15kgs and possibly some 20kgs at some point, too. Just for variation and making it easier/quicker to rack heavier. I love my 25kg plates. Everything is cast iron and just racking those plates feels awesome as fuck...yeeeeah, this stuff is mine. :D

Also brah, don't forget the weight of the bar. Depending on what bar you've got, it should be between 10-20kg. :D

Also also, 3 Vitas? So, that's got to have tripled their sales? ;)

Hnnnnnnnng.

The beauty is that you can cook something straight before or after your workout. You can have a chicken stew or something cooking on the cooker and then do your workout. You just save so much time everywhere. Quite often I'll work out whilst Ine is cooking. Immediate food when I'm done with showering.

I really like the look of that rack. When I finally move out of those flat and hopefully into my own house, I'll go for that one. I'm content with standard weights, so I'll stick with those. But, that rack...oh my.

That is the biggest factor for me. It will save so much time not having to commute to the gym. I'll no longer have to worry about getting to the gym at a decent time before it overruns or never face a battle to use the equipment I need. The only thing i'll miss are the pretty ladies and the bikes. Although I've been eyeing up a bike that's available for £200 odd that might join my facility in the future

200 seems alright for a bike, although I'm sure you can probably get a great deal on a good model if you shop around.

As for the women: Put on some raunchy videos/porn for dat testosterone boost, nomsayin'?

I don't really miss the cardio equipment at all. My cardio consists of football when I'm at school, skipping out (very under-rated) and squash. Get a static bike might be an idea for the future, though, but I've never really found them comfortable. My arse doesn't like it.

Haha yeah, I've always wanted to work out with the Eric Prydz 'Call on Me' video in full view :heh:

My arse isn't much of a fan either, I always just imagine i'm Lance Armstrong without the drugs. Do you do any cardio prior to lifting? or just stretching maybe?

Does that power rack allow you to do pull ups? What else is it used for?

Yep, that's what the handles at the top are for. The handles on the right are for dips. It's can be used for a lot of different things, Squats, Bench Press, Overhead Press, Inverted Rows, Power Cleans, Deadlifts etc.
