Not sure who this will interest, but still some good news on the Japanese gaming industry coming over to Switch:

Article on developer saying Nintendo want's more adult oriented games on Switch

Games like Nights of Azure, No More Heroes and Senran Kagura and such are given a big push by Nintendo. And the way I see it, Nintendo of Europe is pretty cool about not cencoring the content this time around.

And on a similar note....

I am actually a little bit tempted by Doom on Switch. Silly seeing as I could just get it on PS4 now for like a tenner or something, but when I played the demo my PS4 went more crazy than ever! Seriously, the fan noise is so ridiculously loud and distracting (even with headphones on) not to mention it gives the impression that the console is about to explode!

So yeah, if the Switch version is well optimised and doesn’t make it sound like a jet engine, I reckon I’d prefer to take the 30fps hit and just play it on that. :blank:

It's also a particularily good fit for Switch, given its pick-up-and-play nature.  I can see myself putting some good time into the Arcade mode on the bus/train ;)

NPD numbers for Sept are starting to trickle out and it looks like Nintendo has the top spot for another month.

Quote

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In September, the Nintendo Switch system was once again the top-selling current-generation console hardware, according to the NPD Group, which tracks video game sales in the United States. This marks the third straight month that Nintendo Switch has been No. 1, and the fifth time overall in the seven months since its launch. Nintendo Switch has already surpassed 2 million units sold in the U.S. alone, and has yet to go through its first holiday shopping season.

When combined with the Nintendo 3DS family of systems and the plug-and-play Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition system, Nintendo systems claimed two-thirds of the month’s total video game hardware sales.

Nintendo Switch games again occupied multiple spots in the list of best-selling individual games of the month, including Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle from Ubisoft at No. 7, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at No. 10 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at No. 11. Also, the Metroid: Samus Returns game for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems debuted at No. 8.

Nintendo Switch aims to continue its momentum into the holidays, with the launches of Fire Emblem Warriors on Oct. 20, Super Mario Odyssey on Oct. 27, DOOM and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim from Bethesda Game Studios on Nov. 10 and Nov. 17, respectively, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on Dec. 1. Additionally, Nintendo 3DS will see the arrival of Fire Emblem Warriors on Oct. 20, Mario Party: The Top 100 on Nov. 10, and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon on Nov. 17.

Not to mention the hardware itself is very attractive. Really hope they can hit the 12 million target by March

If they can keep up with the demand, then I think they should have a fantastic Christmas season. The fact that it's doing very well in all territories bodes well for their future.
