  1. Well I got the game... ... but no time to play it atm. Ah well, there's always later/tomorrow!
  2. Does it really matter which version I buy? I originally had Pokemon Black so I should just buy Black 2 right? [/indecisive] :p
  3. Zombi U (Packed in) Nintendoland NSMBU Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed
  4. *Is currently downloading on the PS3* Not really what I wanted to hear I must admit but I've learned to take comments like this with a healthy dose of salt until I actually play the game for myself. I mean, yes the port of JSR was very good but the controls felt a little different on that so I'm kind of expecting the same for any game ported from one of Sega's past consoles but I don't think I'll have any trouble playing NiGHTS at all. The Wii U may get a port of the original at some point but until then this is surely the cheapeast and most accessible way to experience the classic and for that reason I'll likely end up owning it on both PS3 and Xbox 360... a bit overkill perhaps but the PS3 version is more in the hope that there may come an update that will allow you to play it on the Vita... maybe that's just a pipe dream though but either way I'm all for supporting this fantastic game in the hope that we get a worthier sequel than Journey of Dreams.
  5. I was under the assumption that surely the points will only get deposited once you accumulate a certain even number such as 100 just like you get from doing monthly surveys on the site, 20 MSP per survey so after 5 months you get 100 MSP deposited into your account... ... come to think of it, that's not even that great but at least it's better than nothing I suppose.
  6. That is one godly looking pizza if ever I did see one... ... now I'm hungry, damnit! :p
  7. Happy Birthday Mr Odwin!
  8. Well I got the album yesterday - nice to have the CD a couple of days early - and I got around to giving it a listen today... On the whole The 2nd Law is definitely a very enjoyable album by Muse as they've essentially taken what they're already good at, stripped things back and added in some alteration for good measure. The result is something which definitely doesn't disappoint but that plays largely to expectations providing you didn't set them astronomically high, keeping them instead sensibly grounded. Personally I feel that there are a lot of decent tracks on there including Supremacy which is a decent opener which leads - or should that be 'descends' - nicely into Madness giving you a decent sense of what to expect; Survival actually sounds so much better in context than as a standalone track but as many reviews seem to have mentioned that while there are plenty of quality tracks here as an album it really doesn't flow that well which I think is true to an extent but it doesn't detract too much from the overall enjoyment. The two tracks featuring Christopher Wolstenholme on vocals instead of Matthew Bellamy are suitably different while still retaining that vague overall 'feel' of Muse but ultimately sounding like something else entirely and I'm just going to go ahead and echo previous comments here because Save Me definitely sounds like an Elbow B-side whereas Liquid State has that undeniable feeling of a Foo Fighters track merged with Pendulum style vocals, yet somehow it just about works on the album even if it breaks the flow even more. As for the two-part finale The 2nd Law : Unsustainable/Isolated System well... it pretty much delivered what I expected so I enjoyed it but I can't help but think back to their Black Holes and Revelations era as I'm sure we'd all like another finishing track to rival Knights of Cydonia but alas I've pretty much given up on wishing for it as that was evidently a spectacular one-off. Regardless I'd still recommend The 2nd Law to anyone who's already a fan but to those who aren't it certainly won't convert you but it certainly wouldn't hurt you to give it a listen either. : peace:
  9. Surely they have no choice now but to put this 'on hold' and instead release the trilogy on Wii U at a later date within the launch window? I mean it'd be the right thing to do, but then again with EA publishing it...
  10. Indeed, you could even say that it's... ... VVVVVVery late. :awesome: Sorry, I have a bit of extra time on my hands seeing as there have been no VC games to review since last week, nothing this Thursday either but at least it gives me a chance to review La-Mulana which currently I'm finding exceptionally hard but equally rewarding.
  11. Interesting video, as a long-term fan of Conker's Bad Fur Day though I think it's now pretty safe to say that things worked out for the better but I like how a lot of the early music wouldn't have felt out of place in a Banjo game and in fact one of the tracks featured in the video did make it into Banjo-Tooie - the on-rails part was re-used for the UFO mini-game - plus it was pretty surreal to hear the main theme from Jet Force Gemini in there too. Well worth watching if only to realise how wrong things could have turned out. : peace:
  12. I've used an electric foil razor for years and would recommend it.
  13. Bad because assuming certain games only get released in Japan/America we'll have no option but to miss out on them. Of course if Nintendo managed to ensure that every major game actually gets released in every region with little delay between territories - say a week or so difference between each - then we'd have no need to worry even if it was region locked. As I understand it though releases get staggered over here for a reason and that's so we get them at the time when it's likely to be most profitable for the company, which is why we only see certain games at the same time each year - or in the year that they are released - so I can still see the reasoning even if I don't completely agree with it.
  14. That's actually a valid point... I mainly decided to get it now with the intention of reviewing it for N-E but for other titles it may well be worth waiting, I hadn't considered that the discount would apply to the existing VC games and WiiWare titles. Regardless of this, La Mulana is still worth the points though for anyone wanting to take the plunge.
  15. I love the way that many people raved about this game coming out for so long and now that it's released, there's finally a thread for it and no one replies... apart from me of course. Though I suppose loads of people could all be too busy playing it to post which would explain a lot, regardless though I did purchase it on Thursday and I have to say that even from what little I played... I'm really enjoying it and I can se myself going back to it really soon which is why I put my name down for the review. I'll be going back to it properly tomorrow so I'll keep you all posted. : peace:
  16. I'm considering canceling Rayman and getting this instead at launch... ... but then I could just get it on the 360, but it is better suited to the Wii U. Hmm decisions...
  17. My condolences...
  18. Here we go again... I'll stick with my NTSC launch model PS3 thanks.
  19. It was Avira the whole time... I just turned off 'Web Protection' for a few seconds and the chat came back, turned it back on and reloaded the page, the chat is now there again as it was before; really strange though as it never used to block it but I suppose these things can happen... must have been a glitch. Anyway, thank you for your help this means I should be able to properly participate in the MK7 league this week once again.
  20. It's enabled... still not working, I'm genuinely puzzled by this.
  21. Sadly that doesn't work for me either... it's a complete mystery as it was working fine the other week.
  22. Pennymon! Gotta spend 'em all!
  23. Tried the usual tricks, I even loaded up Internet Explorer *shudders* just to confirm that it's not the browser, it isn't as it won't display on any of them which leads me to believe that I must need to update something else on my PC to get it to run. I've updated the usual things though, Flash, Java etc so I just don't know what it could be... it's most odd.
  24. The only ever Gamestation I've ever had the displeasure of visiting was a cramped store full mostly of generic trade-ins, poor pricing and really unhelpful staff so the rebranding is welcome... ... but I still won't shop there for most of my games on principle. Game are really only good for their sale prices.
  25. Is the Chat not working for anyone else? For me it just loads the 'Chat Room' bit at the top and then all I get is a completely blank white space where the log in etc should all be, this has only happened recently but it's a pain because it's relied upon for the Mario Kart League. Is it just a simple case that I need to update something for it to run again perhaps?
