@Debug Mode you have made this game a much more pleasant experience for me. Muchos thanks for giving me L14 in every job. Got all but one job now so pretty far in. Rallied a group of ninja to get Lester's asterisk fairly early on. Really like how they've modernised this RPG for today's audience (bar continued use of crystals; they really need to be buried and forgotten). Ability to turn off random battles, fast forward animations, call the airship easily and advance through spiel easily is great.

Tried to get a pair of those a while back but couldn't find them in stock at a decent price in size 10...

Totally dick move. Can't believe you shared that!

I really wish I had the Vita decal to go with the Persona backgrounds. Damn me for not knowing Persona was worthy of buying the special edition before I properly played it. :p

It's really quite dangerous - any recessive genes you have for certain conditions are likely to also be present in your sibling's genome, and when the child gets 2 copies from each parent they'd have that condition.

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion

Beyond Two Souls I just bought today new from ShopTo for about £15, and it's just a couple of months old. Games like Mario Kart /NSMB 3DS/DKC age into the years and still cost £30+ new. They can definitely afford to lower their prices. And if you say they can't, show proof that their games are costing them significantly more to make than other games people are mentioning. -

Don't copies of games in bundles count towards sales? -
I'm gonna level with you here and say this isn't a game to be missed. It's the top game on the system by a long shot and I can't imagine it coming round at any price like this again soon. Even if you just buy it now and play it in several months, that'd be worth it. It's easily one of the best games ever made.
-
Oh man, you beat me to it.

Same, I got an imported copy. VGPlus have been selling P4G sometimes for around £15. I've never seen a Persona game actually free and not just reduced on Plus. Really though this is the best game on the system, Cube and co. wouldn't have any regrets buying it at this price if they did. I wouldn't bet on a Plus giveaway!

That's really not a good analogy at all. For someone serving a 35 year sentence whose life is pretty much already over, in any meaningful sense, your analogy may as well be replaced with an abseil down into the core of hell. It'd be more accurate.
-
Holy shit that's amazing. @Ashley @Jimbob if you don't already have this then it's a deal not be missed!

People are just challenging you with scenarios to see whether you truly believe what you said you did under all circumstances (e.g. J7). They're not saying what you believe is categorically wrong and that they have more experience to know better. The beef I had before was purely the way you put across your views (telling people they were wrong and your opinion was the one that was valid due to prison expedience).
-
I get that you often have a similar view, but have you not considered that you are perhaps not universally 'strong people' (physically and mentally)? Maybe some people choose the other option because they have enough courage to choose death, or because they have the foresight to see a life without doing anything with purpose isn't worth living. And frankly it's a bit insulting to call people weak for having an opposing view. I think a big problem on this forum recently (more so with Zechs) has been the inability to talk to people in a decent, inoffensive manner. When you make the point that everyone else should be ignored because they are weak, he just comes across as ignorant and no one listens to him. When you thank him, you're just showing that the ignorance is shared.
-
That's rather comical. 'There is no point arguing with weak people' You've got to admire when people have such a ridiculously (undeserved) high opinion of themselves. For a while I did actually think that, given Kav's tendency to hang off every word he says and thank most of his posts.
-
Might be you have to use the summon command in battle then 'send' a move from one of your characters to appear in my list.
-
That's not the case, this goes back to the post where you were saying people were wrong and 'how it actually was' when they gave a counter view to yours (and using being in a prison as a reason why your view was correct). I've never said that your view on living over dying is wrong. It's a complicated issue is what I've been saying. It's not that their view has come about for a simplistic reason like you suggested (that being that they are weak-willed).
-
He's asking it because you are saying living in any prison for a very long time/life is better than a quick death. To say X is better than Y, you normally need to have experienced both.
-
Yeah can someone explain this...not sure how to get you to appear in my list of friends in game?
-
That's fair enough. When you put it that way I've no beef with what you're saying, even though I don't agree with it.
-
I agree, it would very much depend on the circumstances. If I knew I'd probably spend the rest of my life in prison and be unanimously hated/have no life to come back to if I ever was released at an elderly age then I'd certainly think death might be an easier option. I don't think it's weak-willed to go there. That's because you're weak willed. I'd totes choose prison.
-
No, the problem is that you basically quoted someone else and said 'trust me, it's actually this, and having that opinion just makes you weak-willed', rather than acknowledging that there is no right or wrong answer to this. I found it pretty strange that you would suggest people saying the opposite to you must be doing so because they are weak-willed. Some people may be able to revert to a primal survival-centric state whereas some see living to survive rather than surviving to live as pointless. Also being in prison doesn't mean you're more qualified to have an opinion on this. Unless you were also put on death row or taken out the back and came close to bring shot (earlier description) then you've no idea what's worse, have you? And maybe after 20 years of being in prison your view may change from just surviving for the sake of it?
-
Still quire near the beginning. So I have @EEVILMERRY or someone friend me if they haven't already/do the necessary things to make them an available friend to abilink? I need one more person for linking purposes, and it sure makes a big difference.
-
lol @ 'trust me'. Like your opinion is 'the correct one' and we all just don't realise, rather than there being different points of view. So you're saying that anyone who thinks a quick death is better than staying alive for the rest of your life in prison with next to no liberties and surrounded by the dregs of society is just weak willed? Not because most people would probably see that as a life totally not worth living (as well as one deprived of basic human rights)?
