  1. My girlfriend was like that partway through world 2. Eventually I had to carry her through just about all the level.
  2. Ahhh ma gawwwd. Started playing this last night, this game is fucking great. Got to be the best Zelda since Wind Waker. It just shows that when you remove all the crappy innovation that they've attempted over the years (riding a train, motion controls, to some extent the sailing and hourglass system in PH...) and a strip down to pure Zelda goodness...wow. Zelda is great when it's being Zelda. That's not to say somewhat unique things like the freedom in the game isn't great too (access to most items early on, exploration, choice of dungeon order). I'm happy right now. Nintendo still got it.
  3. Majora's Mask I'll bet is up there.
  4. Chapter 5 onwards made me dislike this game a bit. It was so very very cheap. In some ways I can't believe they did it. I completed the game a couple of weeks back, the job system is brilliant and it looked pretty nice. There really needs to be some improvements in the sequel though: - Screw the crystals (I know this won't happen). They're inanimate and boring plot devices. - Sort out the towns. There is what - an inn, a weapon shop, a spell shop, an item shop - all of these you can't enter most of the time. I'd like to see towns like in the PS1 Final Fantasy games, where at least 75% of the buildings you can usually enter - No repetition - The quest system could be made to have more of a purpose than just teach you things. - They could have fleshed out the characters a bit more. They weren't too underdeveloped but they still didn't feel as cool as old school FF characters. It did do some great things though. Adjustable random battles, call airship from map, Abilink, fast forwarding battles.
  5. Amen to that. I really have no place for that big bloody thing.
  6. Looking at N2 a lot of people claim to have sent nothing in, one claims to have been roleblocked, and my action was felt. If we're to believe these accounts for now then that leaves Cube, Diageo, Jonnas and Rummy as people that I don't know targets of / are unaccounted for for last night. Would be helpful to have details to hold people to later on. @Cube - Viagra used on DuD (no effect), main action target - ? @Diageo - Main action target - ? Jamba - Claims got roleblocked by being humped Jimbob - Targeted Peeps @Jonnas - Main action target? (me?) @Rummy - Main action target? Sheikah - Item used (teddy bear), Peeps target (effects felt) Sméagol - Claims no target sent The Peeps - Claims no target sent ( ) Yvonne - Claims no target sent
  7. Well, if people were happy with the PS3 footprint (which I think most people were), then it probably won't appear any bigger or smaller to them, so they probably won't even factor the size at all. Unless they're like us with our fat PS3s, in which case it looks smaller.
  8. Compared to a PC, which the PS4 practically is, I'd say it's positively miniature =P.
  9. What? No it isn't, it's smaller than the original PS3, which is the console I've had beneath my TV since it launched. The thought of the next Sony console being quite a bit smaller than the previous one is really quite an achievement I think.
  10. Long jump is still there I think, but with run now needing a button held down it makes executing it pretty tricky.
  11. We're also talking about the country that has powered on vending machines dispensing used panties.
  12. I think the biggest kick in the nuts for me was what happened to Anna at the end. My idea of the perfect pacing of a series is that in FMA (first series or brotherhood).
  13. It just seems crazy that profit hungry companies would make an inferior product purely to be ethical, while their competitor made a more powerful product that would sell more. The reason it was low spec is because they didn't realise that people/devs wanted a higher spec system, and also that the gamepad pushed up the cost so they couldn't afford to improve it much further. It has nothing to do with a disaster.
  14. Do you even have evidence that Nintendo wanted to roll with a low power machine in part because of the Fukushima quake? If not, which I highly suspect to be the case, then yes. It's ridiculous. Because Sony aren't based in Japan, tbh.
  15. That's got to be the most ridiculous excuse for Nintendo's failures I have ever heard.
  16. People weren't buying the Wii because it was small and quiet. Oh, Nintendo.
  17. If I had a child I would not leave my child with one, nor would I leave my child with a stranger - straight or homosexual. It's a case of reducing risk. I don't think any good parent would say yes to that, because being a parent is all about reducing risk to your children. Wait for the green man when crossing the road, teach them to be safe when out and about, etc. Even though nothing may well happen, it's still higher risk.
  18. Given all the (non-Nintendoland) good game + Wii U Premium bundles that were about before Christmas, I have in my mind that £200 for a console with a game is the sort of norm. It'd be good if those limited edition bundles went down more to below £180.
  19. As long as what you are saying is valid and on topic I don't see why you need an interest in it.
  20. I don't think the Wii U sold as well at launch, at least not here in the UK, otherwise the PS4 wouldn't have outsold it in the UK in 2 days. Really though, what's the difference between 300 and 350, especially if you get so much more? Even the included Blu Ray drive alone would nearly cover that extra 50 quid. That just shows how badly priced the Wii U originally was.
  21. Nintendo already launched it at like 300. An extra 50 is no concern, especially if what you're getting is worth an extra 200 at least and it gets considered next gen And case in point - PS4 and Xbone sold, Wii U didn't. Go figure.
  22. To the people saying Nintendo can't afford to make a high spec machine...Sony admitted if you buy a PS4 and a game then they're into profit. Whereas didn't people say Nintendo were losing money initially or something because of the gamepad? I don't buy that Nintendo can't afford to make an equally high spec machine.
  23. I have to admit, I finished watching Attack on Titan S1 fairly recently and wasn't exactly blown away. I think my biggest gripe is with how little actually happens by the end of the series, outside of the initial fast forwards to set the scene for the present day. The animation is really nice though.
  24. Will you say who you did target Rummy?
  25. Peeps was popular last night then. I got no PM back so I'm assuming I got through (he'll know if I did).
