The comparison would be more like - - Original video from 70s, looks dated (= PS3). £5-10 - Heavily improved version from noughties (=PC) £5-10 - Same heavily improved version with additional new character touch ups (= definitive), £30+ It's up to other people whether they think that number 3 is worth paying about 5 times more for, but I'd personally say it isn't.

You do this all the time, acting like you get to say what people can talk about. If people see a post they can comment on it. Not every post in a thread has to immediately answer the topic title; it can be loosely related/comment on an existing post. I think you also don't realise that the more you tell people what to do, the more people will be likely to ignore you. Second: apologies, didn't realise the topic had progressed so much from this post. Active topic is active. As for the question - in some ways I think the Wii U is hurting the Nintendo brand as a whole. On the other hand though, I don't think some games like Pokemon on 3DS are affected at all. People want those games, and the performance of the Wii U isn't going to change that.
-
Yeah but I'll be a while before a new game gets anywhere close to what the original sells for. I think the whole thing about it being definitive is more relative to the original PS3/360 versions. PC versions are often kinda definitive anyway.
-
My TV supposedly gets delivered today, can't wait! And it's here...and glorious. God damn, what a difference.
-
Cost though...to be honest, I'd rather pay a fifth of a price and not bother with better models. :p
-
They've improved the models in the definitive version over PC, but PC will probably be better in other areas like framerate.

Who said anything about saving the Wii U? It's also about saving Nintendo, or at least Nintendo's best options. Like it or not, Nintendo going third party home console is an option and people aren't saying it because they want Nintendo to fail. It's all for positive reasons, and it also relates to the Wii U (as it is a departure from the Wii U), so is relevant and belongs here. Edit: Sorry, I misquote? I don't think so, I took a whole paragraph of what you said. You're really digging this deeper, dazzy. We can clearly see that you were saying people shouldn't be posting about certain things. Despite it being absolutely relevant to the topic title.

So now I'm a child as well as lacking comprehension? Real smooth. In my opinion this is all decent and relevant discussion on the subject except what you're doing. And you definitely wanted people to stop talking about certain aspects, despite them being relevant: Anyway @Serebii, I'd argue that Nintendo aren't in the same position as when Sony and Microsoft have had troubled periods. The main difference is that Sony and Microsoft have always been supported by third parties, and seemingly had a future. It seems difficult to imagine how the Wii U will recover from this. You realise what you're essentially saying here, right? "If we look at the inevitable lack of third party games on the X1/PS4 since they have only just come out and there hasn't been enough time to get more out yet, the output is comparable to Nintendo's". That's one way to skew your sample to make a point. In even 3 months that situation will have changed entirely. You focus far too much on the 'right now'. Where is your analysis of the future? You don't just buy a console for the right now.
-
@Nintendo Fan That also includes handhelds. No one is saying they should ditch first party handheld. Just the home console front. Wii U hardware revenue is also bound to beat software right now - think about it. They can only sell Wii U software to the limited pool of people who already have a Wii U. You have to taken into account the money they could make from software if it was available to far, far more people than those just with Wii Us. TL;DR - flawed stats are flawed.

Have you considered that the people goading you into voting yourself don't really doubt you and are actually in fact Mafia?
-
Yeah, terrible idea for them to release games on consoles with an audience.
-
Why vote yourself? If you are town then you literally just handed yourself to the Mafia since majority is now reached. @Diageo I still want to hear more - what did you do the night before last?
-
You just want everyone with an opinion on the matter that you don't like/agree with to be silenced. Nintendo going third party home console is a solution to the problem at hand, but you don't like it, so we apparently can't say it.

In which case, don't bother with the shield. The Lionel Mug is far better.
-
So given he suggested you go to my shield, what do you do with it? Not steal or break it, I hope.
-
Yeah, I've picked some up. I imagine most of the items are probably used up by now, which makes Smeagol's ability seem a little underpowered by this point.

Let's not tailor our argument. Using a tablet with Beyond Two Souls lets you play the game on it. Anywhere in the house where there is wifi. Using a gamepad gives you a much smaller range, and the display is shitty. Although you do get buttons. Most people will have sorted out their wifi situation long beforehand to reach all necessary rooms in the house (should their house be large enough that such a thing is necessary). So it's total house coverage with a tablet over wifi; not true with the gamepad.
-
I still don't understand how Cube knew what you were talking about when he never had the shield.
-
Nada. As a direct comparison to this, the Vita can play every PS4 game on it, but it's an optional device. The way it should be. Had they made the gamepad optional, Nintendo could have still allowed every game to stream over it / support it, just as Sony did. And then the Wii U could have been higher spec for the same price.
-
That gamepad came at the cost of so much though. I'd much rather have a better system with the option to do that with a tablet, which a lot of people already have (and optional being key, since this feature won't appeal to most).
-
I asked him that because I expected him to have more, if that makes sense.
-
Do you have any more than that?
-
Cool, will add you when I'm next on. Oh I remembered something that really bogged me down - the inventory system! So much to look at.
