No doubt that prison you mention would be worse, but like the diary shows regular prison over here would also be hell. Often it's not what facilities may be available to you but the removal of your liberties, the lack of contact with family and friends as well as the types of people who surround you that would make prison a nightmare. Not to mention how soul destroying knowing that you have years left would be. 30+ years of living in hell or a quick death. I know which is the worst punishment.

lol yeah, there's only one port the charger can fit in. :p Although... it does seem possible that you can put the charger in the wrong way around. Make sure the the PS logo is on the top side of the charger end when plugged into the Vita.

Was looking through a few game cases and found I had a 30 day Plus card that expires 31st December this year. Anyone not on Plus yet?

No it's not just that, online on the Wii U is sluggish when you navigate through menus (in fact this extends to just general menu navigation). It's bested by the Vita which is saying something. The store and downloads/account system is also pretty defunct, there's very little incentive right now to ever buy standard games from their store. Really though you already know all this, this topic has cropped up loads of times with the general consensus being that they are far behind. Well, apart from the most ardent Nintendo loyalists who think it's almost on a par.

Nah, even if they heavily advertised that those games were available on Wii U, everyone would still want to buy them on either PS4/X1 or PS3/360. Saying that is like saying a new social media website should go all out advertising to get people to switch from Facebook. If people are already on Facebook where their friends are then it doesn't matter how much you advertise it. There's no incentive to make a switch. Plus the online infrastructure on Wii U is pretty dire.

A bullet to the head is an instant release and not what he deserves; imprisonment and loss of liberties for many years is a far worse punishment. I also agree that the desire for pain/blood from people is pretty disturbing/primal.

Christmas is the best time ever for me. Time off, people cooking Christmas dinner (not I) and watching classic TV/playing games. Usually spent with my mum, dad, sister, brother, grandma, cat and dog. Can't wait.

Just looked it up and was astonished to see the Vita weighs 260g, exactly the same as the 2DS. Seems pretty remarkable that a much higher spec (and older) device doesn't weigh any more than the 2DS.

I have a very hard time believing this. The Wii U is doing pretty badly right now; they definitely need to change dramatically in some areas because it's more than just a 'few customers' (or rather potential customers) that aren't happy with it.

The Vita already feels like it weighs pretty little to me, so I'd say to choose the cheaper model with the better OLED screen.

Yeah, ME is a great series, but I'd definitely recommend playing Mass Effect 2 first. Mass Effect 1 is a bit meh and feels outdated. The PS3 version of ME2 came with an interactive comic covering ME1 so you can skip it. I'd recommend watching that online if the Wii U doesn't have a similar alternative.

Yup, although maybe 3-4 in the Vita bundle are actually worth playing fully.

The thing is though, Nintendo were doing change and new IPs back on the 64 and Cube really rather well, all while keeping that Nintendo magic. No matter how light hearted and fun Nintendo strives to make its games, if you keep reusing the same formula that came off the back of 64/Cube games then people are eventually going to get a bit fed up of it.

Or it could just be really good and spread through word of mouth. Don't think I saw any TLOU adverts on TV and knew about it solely through reviews, which every game is guaranteed anyway. Not saying advertising doesn't help (it definitely does), but really good games that aren't too abstract (ie. majorly appeal to the public) are bound to do well regardless.

That's the one I have, I got it pretty much because of the reviews. It's good and the clasp is fine (never had an issue with it) but I rather wish I'd got a lighter case now. The big heavy hard cases are just a bit overkill really. Although it's good how well it fits and protects it. In hindsight I'd probably have bought this, although I'm not sure this was listed / well reviewed when I bought my case.

I can imagine a paranoia shitstorm going down if they call it that. :p
