I did, late last year and thanks to Game Pass again, absolutely amazing game, so much so I gifted it via the Xbox to a friend for his birthday and he fell in love with it too! Such a beautiful game musically, artistically and design wise too, would thoroughly recommend. Haha it's on my download list, but I'm not sure if I'll start it before it disappears...

Yet another amazing reason to have Game Pass; I'm starting to slow down on my time in The Division 2 now I've beaten the DLC and hunted down alot of achievements, this is downloaded and ready to go for me, can't wait!

Like the old N64 magazine ranking system where you had to complete certain games in certain ways (or high scores etc) to get on their leaderboards, the original achievements! 😎😂

The game is clearly not as well populated as the first one; matchmaking takes alot longer and it usually only one person as opposed to a full team, certainly on the harder settings. However with the Christmas promotion and then having it for £8.99 at the start of this month I think it will have created some more interest, whether they go on to buy the Warlords DLC though I'm not sure! And that's very kind of you to say, it has been a tough time, every way I turn seems to point to "you have to get a court order", which is obviously expensive...but there we go! I got the Lion King game for Christmas on Switch to play with my eldest, I had a bash Xmas day myself but it wasn't the same, so I'm holding out on that until I see him again!

The Division 2 I didn't see much point in putting this in the game specific thread as it's only me who has played it it seems so... Carrying on from my enjoyment of the first game, I picked this up for £20 at Christmas for the Ultimate digital edition with all the year one guff that comes with it. I just really enjoy the world of the division; I'm not usually one for these Gaas endeavours, however I haven't spent any extra money (yet) and as much as I loved the first game I balked at paying full whack for this one, as I do with most games nowadays. The improvements are incremental yet still feel substantial, it's the same game as before with some exciting tweaks and a sort of continuing of the story; in the first game I went around and collected all of the, err, collectables like the phones, laptops and drones, so I became fully invested in the story that goes along with it. The setting of Washington D.C is a good one and, as I was lucky enough to visit both New York and DC a few years ago, I have fun just wandering around thinking "I've literally been here" (I don't get out much any more, clearly). DC is no NYC though; the atmosphere if the first game was absolutely nailed as far as I'm concerned, and while it's still well populated and looks the business, DC just, well, isn't New York, which makes the recently announced DLC going back to New York a no brainer, really. I hit level 30 and completed it, which then opened up a whole new end game faction and challenges. I'm now gear score 500, the maximum, about 70 hours in, and I'm on the hunt for exotic weapons (the sniper I want will take a three week mission cycle to get all the parts and blue prints for...) And soaking up achievements as I keep ranking up...I think I will shell out the £30 on the new DLC at the start of March because at the moment finding myself only wanting to play this game, and the chance to take down Keener back in New York... It's also been very bittersweet for me; I haven't seen my children for over two months now, which I've really struggled to deal with as it hasn't been my choice (that should probably go in the bad stuff thread!) So I've found alot of solace and enjoyment in getting lost in this world that ubisoft have created and it's taken my mind off alot of the nonsense that's been going on in my life. If I can keep playing this on Xbox series X at Christmas like they seem to suggesting, then I'll be there on launch day ready to keep on ploughing away at liberating D.C!

Just watched the Jimquisition Game of the Year episode yesterday where he talked about Plague Tale in great depth, MS are really making Game Pass a fantastic service!

0 interest, very thankful I just bought Banjo and Kazooie on their own rather than the fighter pass, absolute mugging!

Picked this up in the Xbox Christmas sale; went for the ultimate edition which apparently should have cost me £90, but I got it for £20! It's good, a great continuation of the first game, with added bits in to make it feel more than just a carbon copy. I ploughed hundreds of hours into the first, there is something about this game which I enjoy so much more than Destiny etc, think it's more of the "real world" element than the fantasy. I will say, as impressive as they've made Washington, and as much sense as it makes, it doesn't quite create the amazing atmosphere that New York did in the first one. Still, looking forward to getting to the end game and seeing what that has to offer!

Is it free to play? As a big Monster Hunter fan I'll be interested to at least give it a go! -
Phil Harrison's reign of terror continues to yet another platform! A shame but completely foreseeable; if they weren't launching with some big exclusives, then it had to be a Netflix type thing; if it had been I probably would have bitten. As it is, Xbox game pass (and the potential with streaming I mentioned in the Xbox thread) will likely put pay to this pretty swiftly until all the features are there that they've promised and it becomes subscription!

Stepped into the future today and got an email saying I could try the Xbox game streaming beta, I'm sure not at all times to coincide with the launch of Stadia... I'm running off an original Google Pixel XL so my phone is a good four years out of date, and yet, somehow, miraculously, it all works! It wasn't perfect, but I tried Ori, Sea of Thieves and Gears 5, and they all worked with varying stability, Gears you could literally see continually rendering, but the input was great (just used my Xbox controller) and once I switched to 4G it was alot more stable and clear. I was tempted by Stadia when it was announced as I'm a bit of a Google fan, but no new games and it not being the Netflix type system I thought it was put me off abit. With Xbox and PlayStation both using this system, the future is here! R.I.P the Switch 😛

About 5 hours into this now and... I wish I was playing the original again! It's enjoyable, sometimes creative and the cutscenes and animations have raised a laugh, but it's definitely missing something...charm, perhaps? I'm finding in just going into rooms, hoovering, blowing, using torch etc, rinse and repeat. It's good fun, but not at the same level as the first one or even the second on 3DS as it stands, in fact it just feels like more of the same of the second one rather than something new!

Well... I haven't played Fortnite for the best part of a year but with the advent of chapter 2 I've got back into it recently; I've been racking up wins left, right and centre, generally killing most players I come across (probably averaging 3 kills a game) and generally thinking I might be able to make a career out of streaming the game now I'm so good at it... Consider my resignation letter to my actual job rescinded, I've been had! 😂 -
Absolutely mental consistency. I think the PS2 is a bit of anomaly in that it's ridiculously high, but to be selling consoles at pretty much 100 million every version shows its not luck at all, they always manage to tap into the magic something that gamers want, even a "failure" like the PS3! They still can't design a decent controller, though...🕵️

Yeah got that through today, my son caught wind of it and saw Mario, now he's asking what santa might bring him at Christmas from it...

If you can watch the start of his Call of Duty Jimpression and not laugh at the coronation Street scene he's used, you're not human -
I imagine it's also to give a bit of weight to Tour as well; if it's considered the next game in the series then people will take it more seriously than just a throw away mobile game. I'd love to know either way, apparently my error code means I need to uninstall and reinstall the app (done that) restart my phone (done that) and if neither of those work (they haven't) the I've got to wait for a version update...great...

I've been doing "Google Opinions" which is answering questions on where you've been shop wise etc, which gets me some pennies every time I fill one out; I've saved up about £7 so far, so once I actually get to play this I may be tempted to try the pass for a month, see if it's worth it or not!
-
At least you've got to play it, can't get it loaded up at all yet!

An hour and half later, SNES games haven't had a look in: Good to be back in the Gears universe, glad they had a recap at the start as well as I'd forgotten half of what happened in 4! Classic gameplay, good patter between all the characters and Act 1 chapter 1 completed, looking forward to seeing how it all pans out and what new game play is brought to the table too!
