    • METAL GEAR in Concert is coming to the UK for the first time, at the Royal Albert Hall! Tickets drop tomorrow/Thursday... Concert times are 14:30 and 19:30.  Yeah, I'm for sure going to try to go to this, probably try to go to the afternoon show to keep my time in London as a day trip. I'm playing through MGSV at the moment to round off my Metal Gear Solid series playthrough (the main games, anyways) and visiting Quiet's cell with the occasional MGS legacy track to throw me off completely really has emphasised how brilliant the music in the series has been. Can't think of a better way to round off my time with the series this year! Snake Eater and Heavens Divide in-person would be awesome!  Anyone else interested in going?
    • It was very pretty to look at, but I remember being incredibly frustrated with the actual gameplay. I guess I'm just shit at flight sims, but I could never complete many of the objectives (I remember trying to keep that medical freighter alive in one mission being nigh on impossible).
    • Do people on here still rate the Final Fantasy series highly? There was a discussion on Era about this and when it comes to personal preference, it seems the series has been overtaken by franchises such as Persona or Dragon Quest.  I still have a lot of time for Final Fantasy but it really is a shadow of it's former self. The PS1-PS2 days were the peak of the series and I still enjoyed Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 (never got to play Lightning Returns). XV and XVI were a mess and the series seems to have lost its identity over the past couple of generations. Both Persona and Dragon Quest franchises seem happy enough with not trying to reinvent the wheel each time and instead lean into what makes them what they are and so I can see why both have gained more and more fans over the years.
    • It’s just a menu option that boots you straight into the multiplayer character selection screen, instead of having to start up the game and then have player 2 coin-in.  The collection already supports offline local VS, in the same manner as the OG arcade cabinet. These are arcade ROMs that already support offline local play, this is just a more console friendly way of starting up a local VS game.
