    • On that matter, I feel that it’s a bit of a shame that the Mario Golf series steered further and further away from realism with its sequels.  Toadstool Tour gives too much information to the player I feel (the rolling line that appears on the ground is a bit excessive), while World Tour on 3DS also gives too much away before your shot lands; robbing much of the suspense of whether or not your shot will land where you want it to.  Meanwhile, Super Rush’s camera changes are a complete disaster, making it near impossible to read the lie of the green properly, leading to some very frustrating gameplay (especially the putting). Mario Golf 64 is still my favourite as far as the console MG games go.  I wish that Camelot would dial the cartoonish craziness back a bit to be more like the original.

    • Belgium doesn't deserve that much credit, it's just an anti-video game law rather than something to protect people - that kind of predatory stuff is still allowed in kids toys (and is quite rampant in it, using all kinds of addictive tactics to increase sales). Any laws regarding loot boxes should apply to the sales method in all mediums, not just video games. I think the main problem Balatro faces is how it has specific poker hands in it, so it has to tell you how they work. PEGI are being a bit too strict on this, really. For lootboxes, with various governments saying that they're not that big a problem (like the UK), they can't really decide for themselves that they're harmful. They don't need to accept bribes as, unfortunately, the law protects lootboxes in this manner. It's all that PEGI don't want to face a likely pricy lawsuit where they have to prove the harm caused by lootboxes to win.
    • Rumours have been gathering for a long time about Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion getting remakes, and another "insider" ex1stasis has thrown their hat in the ring to say that Oblivion's is coming next year; sounding like a reveal next month before a potential release in the summer. I think NateDrake was the first to mention this a while back, but who knows at this point? These "insiders" go by strange names and have even stranger ideas when it comes to morals, so eh  It's long been rumoured that it would be on UE5 and handled by Virtuous, who are also doing the Snake Eater remake, and that's apparently still the case.  I'm very curious about this. Firstly, because, well, Xbox don't really have their IPs remade or remastered all that often, but with all of their pick-ups over the years and the enormous popularity of Elder Scrolls, not to mention VI being at least another 5 years away, this seems a smart time to do it. All of these big IPs going to Virtuous to be remade makes me a bit more excited than they might actually be capable of remaking games well ahead of Snake Eater getting a release date, too. Having not played a Bethesda game before, and having thought about potentially tackling one next year, I think I'll wait to see how this turns out before taking the plunge.  Biggest question for me is if this also comes to PlayStation on Day 1, or how they want to handle that. We know The Outer Worlds 2 is, Indy was only given a gap of a few months (which was likely only the case because of Xbox's potentially late call to bring it over to PS5), and there's still a bit of a confusing narrative to these Xbox Game Studios games if you strictly go by the words of Phil and other higher-ups.
