Cold Fire Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Thanks! My kids are too young to use this type of writing at the moment. Suppose I'm going to have to learn it sooner or later. lol - well to be honest, i think Tellyn888 was joking about because the 111one!11!!'s etc is really a piss take from the days of when newbie's to forums would get all excited, type to quick and post about old news like.... teh Nintendos new controller werks like a mouse!!!!111o!! So a lot of people use it when messing about, e.g at work we call The Internet, Teh Interwebs, just cuz its silly. That concludes Teens for begginers (man that sounds like a porno if ever i heard one) for today, please join us tomorrow where we will be discussing getting drunk on the park and teenage pregnancy. Thank you
ZeldaFreak Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I just got two words for ya..... SUCK IT! Hehe I assume it is something very cool though, it has to do something with either accessories or firmware
McPhee Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Its a hard drive, or maybe they put the blue light back in
Nintenchris Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Its a hard drive, or maybe they put the blue light back in The blue light never went anywhere you plonker ya!
Sméagol Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 - The "blue" light is actually customizable, you can get any colour you want. - Very cheap but limited dev kits for hobbyists are planned. - GB, GBC, GBA, Virtual Boy, 64DD, Game & Watch, Vec-Trex, CD-i, DOS, and many more, they'll all end up on VC. - They'll reissue every official Nintendo controller ever made, and an adapter so you can hook 'm up to your Wii. .. Not really big things huh? Ok I'll try harder: The Wii is actually a Transformer. In "Console" mode it will just play games, but in "robot" mode it will transform into R.O.B.128, follow you around the house, and do your chores for you (like Chibi Robo).
YenRug Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Never thought the Megaton would be brought back, and for those who know that irony cannot be writen, I was being ironic. And off course, the same goes for those who don't know that irony can't be writen. Irony can be written; it's sarcasm that can't, because it's about the tone of voice.
blender Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I'm sorry guys (and girls), but as a bit of an old fogie on this site, can someone please translate this quote from Tellyn888 ? I assume this is some sort of text talk, either that or he was having a fit whilst typing it! Your friend and mine is http://www.urbandictionary.com/
Jasper Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Irony can be written; it's sarcasm that can't, because it's about the tone of voice. Is it? Is it? It is. Damn it. Well, you all know what I meant. Don't you? Don't .. you?

I reckon your spot-on with all the above (of course not the robo thing, but hey! i wouldn't mind if that turned out to be true). The Light turning into any colour you wish would be great!
xernobyl Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 ...I wonder what would happen if they never anounced Wii and released it and say: "This is our new console. Enjoy." It would avoid this "Oh my supreme religious figure!" atacks. I want an SDK. Is it too much too ask for? Just running software from SD cards wouldn't be that harmful for piracy (LIES!). I guess this last secret has to do with NDS interaction. It will be one of those: "Oh. I could have guessed this." BTW it wouldn't be that cheap to control the light color.

Perfect. Another one to add that would make me very happy is that the Wii will be released on launch in more than 1 colour (black being one of them) Now I know its not a massive secret but still would be good.
Kurtle Squad Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 i dont think it is unlikely...the psp is going to allow u to stream games to the psp...it would be a really good idea for nintendo to steal one from sony for a change...downloading to the ds would be pretty impossible because the lak of storage space on the ds Not if they sell DS and/or GBA memory expansions.
Mokong Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Perfect. Just what i'm praying for too, the Black Wii and wiimote/nunchuck look too awesome to be forgotten
demonmike04 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I just realised, with all the pre-orders already selling out, its gotta be something that doesnt appeal to casual but hardcore gamers. Nintendo have pulled all the stops to get the hype wagon going for new players etc, but does any body remember that chick at Nintendo saying in a video convo to Matt at IGN about a secret for hardcore gamers? Havent seen anything hard-core yet Nintendo, so im guessing this is what is going to be revealed.
blender Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 THE MEGATON HAS LANDED. THE wii does HD. FACT. http://www.infendo.com/2006/11/wii-is-720p-or-onm-is-wrong-again.html
Emasher Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 maybe this is true but i dont have an hd tv so i dont care
BGS Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I call ONM messing up again and getting their facts wrong. A big announcement like that is unlikely to be tucked away innocently like that. Also, the article you're linking to mentions that they actually got half their facts wrong because they say 720i is your normal tv resolution - it's not and it doesn't even exist. They screwed up before and I reckon they've just screwed up again. Doesn't make sense for Nintendo to keep something like this so secret.
Marshmellow Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Wii has a built in jar;) *cough*Jordan*cough*
The Peeps Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Wii has a built in jar;) *cough*Jordan*cough* haha ONM probably has messed up again. Oh dear. Even if they're right though it doesn't affect me as I don't own a hdtv and probably wont until I win the lottery or something.
Dante Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 THE MEGATON HAS LANDED. THE wii does HD. FACT. http://www.infendo.com/2006/11/wii-is-720p-or-onm-is-wrong-again.html Its ONM aka Leon's shadow does not mean anything. Ladies and gents. Please accept our apologies. It is a genuine mistake, and it's something that managed to pass everyone by, including NCL! The last thing we wanted was for people to start getting excited about the possibilities of HD –- hopefully the remainder of the faulty paragraph made you realise that the numbers were unintentional. It is a small but significant error, and we apologise. The sentence should read: "At the time of going to print, Wii games will output in 480i and 480p, in true widescreen. 480i is your standard TV picture. 480p is a higher quality, progressive signal that takes advantage of the improved picture possible on Progressive Scan, Plasmascreen or LCD displays. If you have one of these TVs you will need to buy a Component AV cable." ONM.
Sooj Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Whats wrong with ONM's editor, does he not know how to do his job right?
Kazzahdrane Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 The only time ONM makes headlines is when it publishes lies and deliberate misunderstandings. Says a lot about the quality of the mag, I think.
Nintendork Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 It is powered by orange juice. Also ONM is the worst magazine I have ever paid money for. They are cocks. EDGE ftw.
Jasper Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 That's why I've got NGamer. Never liked official :magazines, you're never sure if they're telling the thruth of not. With NGamer 720p would be the headliner ('W00000t 720p'). In ONM they call it a mistake. Yey.
