jayseven Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I picked up Assassin's creed and something else in a 2 for £20 deal in gamestation, so you might be better off looking there. I just checked their website, which doesn't seem to do the same deals they do in-store, but they have The Last Remnant and assassin's creed available for a few quid left than £30, anyway. I just noticed - they're out of stock, for shame, but as I say, try in-store? Argos nearly always tends to be vastly overpriced.
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I thought they wouldn't be that great an offer. Thought I'd ask. Will wander into Cash Converters on Friday and see what's happening. Assuming I can wade through the many copies of out of date footie games and copies of Golden Compass.
chrizkerr2 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Anyone know where I can get some Microsoft points delivered through e-mail? (Prefer 800 ones) Wanna get the new Fallout expansion but it won't accept my card :/ (Even though he worked when I bought the Fable 2 expansion afew days ago) Checked ebay but couldent see any.
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Would it not be acceptable to get the physical cards from Amazon or something?

Assuming I can wade through the many copies of out of date footie games and copies of Golden Compass. Alternatively, if you don't fancy ebay (or a trip to Cash Converters), you can pick up new copies of the games for similar prices as above. Assassins Creed £9.73 @ The Hut The Last Remnant £14.95 @ Zavvi
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 This seems to be the general price consensus, around a tenner for Creed and £15 for Remnant. Would anyone here recommend these?

ShopTo.net do the codes by email now i believe Creed is great fun. Kinda miss it, might pick it up again soon. Edited June 24, 2009 by McPhee Automerged Doublepost
MATtheHAT Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 As a relatively new 360 owner, I am finding some of the older games are really cheap pre-owned.A game that has cought my eye is Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. The reviews seem to vary from average to very good. Has anybody here got/had this game? And if so, what are your thoughts?
Dan_Dare Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I think Bad Company is supposed to be way better, and no doubt features considerably more players at this point. The last point being key.
Pantsu Man! Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 http://twitgoo.com/xx53 (they look pretty sweet, shame they're not sold anywhere) I remember the demo for Modern Combat was pretty busy, online, back when I played it. Bad Company will be more populated now though, with it being the newest one. It was quite good aswell.
Bren Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Fuck modern Combat, Bad Company is so much better, the destruction and online play makes that game so gooood. BUY IT!
Pantsu Man! Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Speaking of Bad Company I just got an email from Asda, it's £11.91 on their website. Plus there are a few other cheap games, Dead Space for £12.91, etc.
MATtheHAT Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Serious Sam HD coming to XBLA this summer! Source
Tellyn Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 You're In The Movies with the Vision Camera is £12.99 on GAME. I bought it... at that price, and especially considering it has the camera bundled in, I can't go far wrong, can I?

Hero-of-Time Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Yup, seen them in the paper today. My mate is tempted as his Elite just got 2 red lights yesterday and its costing him £80 to get it fixed. He's got my spare 360 at the moment to help get him through this hard time:)
Ganepark32 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 ^ Tell him to wrap it in a plastic bag/jumper/what have you and leave it one for like 15 to 20 minutes. That should get him the 3 red lights.

Have you actually done this? Because I tried it with my elite, fully wrapped it in a thick bath towel for well over 30 mins and I couldn't get it to RRoD.
Ganepark32 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Yeh. Worked on my premium back in november-ish. Had to do it a couple of times but others I just left it sitting on with it's 1 red light for the same amount of time then turned it off. Don't know if it had a real affect on it or not as the report back from the repair would have suggested that it would have gotten a RRoD anyway regardless of me doing it.
S.C.G Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Lol... there is no need to force RROD it, even if it doesn't have RROD, if it's under warranty you just tell them it is, basically if it keeps crashing then it will get RROD eventually anyway, it's just saving you a bit of time and money. I pay for Live subs each year, the fuck am I giving them more money for fixing a console that's gonna break again anyway... had to send machines back to them about 5 times now, I really hope they begin to work on / roll out a proper redesign that's like, you know... reliable.
Babooo Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I just accidently bought Virtua Tennis 3 on eBay by accident (don't ask me how) for £14. Is it any good from those of you that have it?
Pantsu Man! Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I had VT3 and it was the best (and first) tennis game I've played. The final matches against King and the other guy, not even sure if that's his name, they were awesome matches. Yeah, minigames which involve dodging massive fruit, hitting balls at crocodiles and 10 pin bowling on a tennis court. I really want to get the latest game that just came out.
ThePigMarcher Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Picked up Overlord 2 today as I really enjoyed the first and have been looking forward to this for a while, plus I couldn't find Tales Of Vesperia. Played a couple of hours so far and am really enjoying it. Still has the trademark humour, an in-game map finally (still not great, but an improvement), enjoying the new 'mounts' ability and it does seem a little tougher and possibly more depth than the prequel. Not so much tougher enemies but just getting used to the newer game mechanics, like possession, to solve the puzzles. Look forward to spending a lot more time with this.
Dyson Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 So, I finally got Red Faction today. It's seriously fantastic. You guys have gotta get it.
