drahkon Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Wow. Absolutely loving the look of this game. Day 1. Really? It should've either been a Mario or a Rabbids game...as it is it just looks terrible. Gameplay might be good but I hate how the Rabbids ruin everything that make Mario's worlds so appealing...
V. Amoleo Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 The game is looking loads better than expected. Why are they making figurines for the game which aren't amiibos?? Mario's voice sounds off to me. Is it just the feed or is it not Martinet?
drahkon Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Well, if anything this won't show up in the Spotlight then
david.dakota Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 The rabbits look great in costume, but having official Mario in this just feels off.
Glen-i Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 It certainly looks nice, and strategy RPG is an interesting direction to take Mario. Will keep an eye on this.
Hero-of-Time Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Kinda want this edition. The rumours were true, Grant Kirkhope has confirmed he is the composer for the game.
Sméagol Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Yeah, I agree it's a weird combination of characters and gameplay I didn't ask for, and I'd prefer if at least Mario was left out or it was an whole new IP (though the Rabbids actually look like a fun choice for a more light-hearted variation of this type of gameplay). That said, I actually love this kind of gameplay, so as of now this is very likely looking to become a purchase for me regardless of the weird combination. The gameplay actually looks like fun. And with an actual Xcom expansion announced.. Yeah I'm content.
Kaepora_Gaebora Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Stunned Ubisoft opened with this and Miyamoto actually, considering their main priorities lie on the other two consoles, great start though!
Serebii Posted June 12, 2017 Author Posted June 12, 2017 I'm no turn-based fan, but this looks like ridiculous fun. I'm in. Missed a trick by not making the figures amiibo, but yeesh they are expensive.
somme Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 I'm no turn-based fan, I still find it hilarious whenever you say that. Anyway, game looks fun. Still can't justify a Switch purchase though.
Aneres11 Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 So this is basically like fire emblem turn based but with MARIO and rabbids? I hate this kind of shit. If it was a big splatoon style adventure shooter then hell yes. But turn based?! Urgh, no!
Cube Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 That music was Grant Kirkhope wasn't it?! Yes, it's Kirkhope.
DazzeL Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 I like Xcom. I like Mario. I'm actually interested in this. Who would of thought something that sounded so shit could actually be good?
khilafah Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 When they showed the developer holding back tears. That was deep!
dazzybee Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 It's weird but the game itself looks gorgeous!! Gameplay looks surprisingly complex too. I'm well up for this!! The rabbids in the Petey costume is too hard to ignore.
Ronnie Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Looks loads of fun, day 1 for me. Was very pleasantly surprised by it. And yeah the game itself looks beautiful, definitely wasn't expecting it to look so good. What a packed first year Switch is having! Hopefully it's second year can live up to the first.
Hero-of-Time Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Miyamoto showing up and then the developers reaction has to be one of my favourite moments of E3 so far. Genuine and very touching.
bob Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I think I must be one of the few who actually find the Rabbids kind of funny. Sure, it's a different kind of humour, but it still makes me laugh.

Stuff like that always gets me close to tearing up It was a wonderful moment. You could see how much it means to the dev
