-Dem0- Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Japan gets more LE 3DS's. Oh... It's just... They're so...
Ville Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Summer: June, July, August. So they've got about 3 weeks to get that update sorted...
Serebii Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Summer: June, July, August. So they've got about 3 weeks to get that update sorted... Most of June is actually Spring. As I said before, Summer: June 21st - September 20th
Serebii Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 No no no no no. That's not how the world works :p
Ashley Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Yeah. British summer is just July so Nintendo has already missed the boat
Fierce_LiNk Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 No no no no no. That's not how the world works :p It really is, bro. At the stroke of midnight at the end of May, the clouds depart and rays of sunshine light up the land.
Ville Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Summer: June 21st - September 20th Maybe in North America, yes, but not in here or elsewhere: According to meteorologists,[4][5] summer extends for the whole months of June, July, and August in the northern hemisphere The meteorological reckoning of seasons is used in Austria, Denmark and the former Soviet Union; it is also used by many in the United Kingdom, where summer is thought of as extending from mid-May to mid-August. In Ireland, the summer months according to the national meteorological service, Met Éireann, are June, July and August. In Chinese astronomy, summer starts on or around 5 May, with the jiéqì (solar term) known as lìxià (立夏), i.e. "establishment of summer", and it ends on or around 6 August. In southern and southeast Asia, where the monsoon occurs, summer is more generally defined as lasting from March to May/early June, the warmest time of the year, ending with the onset of the monsoon rains. (le wikipedia) So screw NA, THIS! IS! EUROOOOOOOOOOPE! Although I'm pretty scared that by "summer" Nintendo really meant this: December, January, and February in the southern hemisphere
Fused King Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Wait, are we supposed to please understand how the seasons work? Has N-E done it? Have we finally cracked the code?!?!
Dcubed Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Obviously Iwata forgot to mention that the system update is coming out in Australia before anyone else
Serebii Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Maybe in North America, yes, but not in here or elsewhere: So screw NA, THIS! IS! EUROOOOOOOOOOPE! Although I'm pretty scared that by "summer" Nintendo really meant this: The astronomical summer (Northern Hemisphere) 2013 began on Friday, June 21 and ends on Saturday, September 21 It ALWAYS starts on the Summer Solstice, as Winter starts on the Winter Solstice. This is a fact
Wii Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 The astronomical summer (Northern Hemisphere) 2013 began on Friday, June 21 and ends on Saturday, September 21 It ALWAYS starts on the Summer Solstice, as Winter starts on the Winter Solstice. This is a fact Enough of the pony. Summer is June, July, August. Fact. End of.
Ville Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 The astronomical summer (Northern Hemisphere) 2013 began on Friday, June 21 and ends on Saturday, September 21 It ALWAYS starts on the Summer Solstice, as Winter starts on the Winter Solstice. This is a fact http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/when-does-summer-begin-anyway/51205 Yes, but who cares about the astronomical summer? It's the meteorological summer, i.e. temperature, that counts, and that summer is indeed June, July and August. #seasonsporn
Ashley Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Guys, I'm pretty sure Nintendo just meant "the period in the middle of the year"...
Fierce_LiNk Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 So...nobody actually knows when summer takes place then? Thanks Shibata/Nintendo/Obama!
Ronnie Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Summer in the gaming world = 3rd quarter surely, which means July/August/September which coincides with the true, astronomical Northern hemisphere summer anyway
Hero-of-Time Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Remember, Nintendo are in their own little bubble. They clearly have a different time scale to the rest of the world. Kinda how a launch window lasted for months on end.
Agent Gibbs Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Maybe they work on PNF-404 seasons...... also on a seriously pecimistic note.....did they say summer 2013?
Ashley Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Remember, Nintendo are in their own little bubble. They clearly have a different time scale to the rest of the world. Kinda how a launch window lasted for months on end. Actually the launch window is as long as they said it would be, some games were just delayed outside of it. In before the Serebii.
Hero-of-Time Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Actually the launch window is as long as they said it would be, some games were just delayed outside of it. To quote Miyamoto and Serbii as he seems to use it a bunch. "A delayed game is eventually good; a bad game is bad forever." Dunno what the hell happened to Wario Ware Wii U then. I seriously hate the term 'launch window'. It gives them far too much wiggle room. Which company was the first to spin this nonsense? I prefer launch games and leave it at that.
Blade Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I couldnt give a shit when the update is out to be fair. All I want is these brilliant games that ARE going to be released in the summer!
Ville Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Well, it doesn't really matter if they release it late. Iwata's got that covered: PLEASE UNDERSTAND.
Mokong Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I only downloaded the Animal Crossing Plaza thinking it might give me 50 free stars for teh Star Catalogue like other previous free apps.... no such luck
Ronnie Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Well, it doesn't really matter if they release it late. Iwata's got that covered: PLEASE UNDERSTAND. Hmm, getting a bit overused now?
