Didn't we already agree before that they should make an RPG spin off on home consoles that receives as much time, attention and funding as a main entry game, so it is essentially a moot point if it's considered a spin off or not. At the same time, the main handheld games remain the same.

I want an action/adventure/rpg on Wii U where you play a Were-Eevee (human that can change into an Eevee) and through the game you gain new evolutions you can switch to (all the eevee-lutions.Maybe even use it as a place to introduce a new one for future gens?), new moves that gain access to areas, and other Pokemon friends that have abilities you need. Think a 3D world meets Metroid, meets Mario platformer.

Of course, I've said this before.

Will Pokemon X and Y have the same crap story of a kid fighting gym leaders and Elite Four and becoming champion? I don't see why they can't write a decent story for the Pokemon games, it would make the single player portion of the game a lot more fun.

Hopefully there's a bit more humour in X and Y, not getting my hopes up though. :hmm:

I'll never forgive them for changing the old man outside Celadon City gym. icon13.gif

Blame the politically correct society in which we now live

No because a decent story isn't what Pokémon is about its about the social aspect the games do not need it its not going to happen GameFreak have said so.

I want a soap opera style Pokémon storyline, whereby the main hero is undertaking the quest because his/her mother has been kidnapped by the local drug dealer and along the way he realises he's adopted, his real dad is the drug dealer and his mother is actually his twin sister.

That's what Pokémon needs.

It needs to be done through Episodic Content, too.

"Previously, on Pokemon..."

It turns out that the Pokemans are all stuffed toys in the bedroom of Ash, who is a patient in some kind of mental institute.

649 toys in one room? No wonder he's a bit psychotic.

I want a Pokemon where you play as Officer Jenny trying to infiltrate Team Rocket and it's basically like The Wire & The Sopranos but with Pokemon thrown in.

Here's a thought, if in Pokemon X & Y they're putting more effort into teaching the fan base about Effort Values in the form of Super Training, is the old way of training still going to be available or is it now a dead mechanic?

It's still there

Visually, Pokémon X and Y look fantastic, particularly in the battle sequences. Once you start, your trainer throws out the Pokéball and your Pokémon emerges in full, polygonal 3D. Unlike the overworld, the battles make use of the stereoscopic 3D capabilities of the system. The depth of field and the crisp, vibrant colors feature the same aesthetic found in the Pokémon anime and feels closer than ever to what the concept art portrays. Each Pokémon has different animations while idle and after they attack and receive damage. Sylveon, an evolution of Eevee, looked particularly stunning with its weird, bow like hair (appendages?!) floating around softly. Attack animations temporarily bring players away from their view behind the Pokémon and move on to show exactly how the Pokémon will be dealing damage. You don’t see them directly hit the opposing Pokémon, but it still looks great and makes for a more immersive, quasi-realistic experience.

WTF!? The overworld doesn't support S3D? Battles only?

Pathetic! Poor showing GameFreak  (especially weird after you guys did a great job with Harmoknight and having it run in 3D all throughout - at an unwavering 60FPS even!)

How on earth does the worst looking part of the game not support S3D, while the much better looking part does!? Considering the rendering demands of S3D (having to render the graphics twice), you would think that if any part would struggle to run in S3D, it would be the battles!

That would be a REALLY weird decision, that should be only in the demo build right? I mean I've never heard of a 3DS game that doesn't support S3D, or only for a part, that would be plain annoying.

Yeah, my friend mentioned that on Saturday. Was a bit weird.

We'll see if it's just for the demo or not. Besides, how many use the 3D feature?

Err... Most 3DS owners? I would never play with 3D off!

Not happy about this at all. No defence here, it had better be fixed... (But considering how close to release the game is, probably not gonna happen :( )

Well, I guess that's something that can always be fixed in a 3rd version!

It could just be the demo. Chill.

I'll do some sleuthing and ask my contacts

That's a little ridiculous if true, wow. I was watching a trailer of the slightly grainy 3D overworld graphics the other day and thinking 3D might actually make them look a bit better. Surely this kind of omission will hurt the game? The excuse that most people don't play in 3D would be absolutely apalling too, wow.

That is surely Demo only? the onyl game i can think of that goes back to 2D for a time is MGS3D when aiming in first person, and that can be explained away by in game spoilers

but an overworld, where you'll spend a minimum of 50% of your time.......that had best be Demo only else this will reflect badly in reviews
