heroicjanitor Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 My favourites were Disney ones, like the others. The Fox and the Hound and Hercules ftw. Other than that, The Land Before Time and The Iron Giant were very good.
EddieColeslaw Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Ooooh! I forgot Sailor Moon R: The Movie (dubbed in Chinese). Don't really remember it, other than there was a lot of dying, mutant people, and some nakedness. And it takes place in space.
Hamishmash Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Anything creative I have EVER done can find it's origin in either Pee Wee's Big Adventure or Return to Oz.
flameboy Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 (edited) He-Man Masters of the Universe (used to have posters covering my wall from the film and went to cinema to see it maybe 5 times? Won 2 competitions to see it lol) Star Wars Beetlejuice Back to the Future Ghostbusters Transformers: The Movie (god cried my eyes out when optimus died!) An American Tail Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Terminator 2 Labyrinth Home Alone Flight of the Navigator Yes granted their are films in their I shouldn't have been watching at that age but I did. Oxigen_Waste Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Alien/Aliens. Terminator 1/2. Edward Scissorhands. THE childhood movies, for me. I grew up watching these 5 more than any other. Labyrinth is completely anonymous over here, it's quite funny, actually.
BowserBasher Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Reading through these list bought back lots of memories. I've even been searching for some of these again. A few of my childhood film memories: The NeverEnding Story Wizard of Oz Gremlins Many, many Disney films The Land Before Time One no one has mentioned yet is WaterShip Down
gmac Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 for me the main ones are Clue Spaceballs Jurassic Park He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade Clue and Spaceballs are because we had them taped from the TV so I watched them to death!

The Goonies. Danny The Champion of The World. He-man and The Masters of The Universe. The Mighty Ducks Trilogy.
Cube Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Films I remember from a kid: - Star Wars - Jurassic Park - Aladdin - The Lion King - Fox and the Hound - Land Before Time - The Mask - Toy Story - Mrs Doubtfire - Jumanji - Matilda - Dragonheart Looking at other people's lists...there are loads of great films that I didn't see until much later (I saw the first BttF for the first time a year and a bit ago...same with Ghostbusters) or still haven't seen.
Emasher Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) I remember Toy Story and A Bug's life being some of my favorites early on. Particularly I remember the long wait between seeing A Bug's Life in the theater and the day it came out on VHS. I still remember going to the video store to buy a copy. I also remember the Buzz Lightyear movie and watching the telivions series that followed it, but I was a little bit older at that point. Star Wars came next. My dad introduced me to the original series and a year, or maybe it was a few years after that, the Phantom Menace was announced. I remember not being allowed to see it in the theater due to my sister also wanting to go, and my parents thinking that it might scare her, as she was only 3 or something like that at the time. Needless to say, I was quite annoyed by that, but I saw it when it finally came out on VHS and, enjoyed it, only being a kid at the time. Edited June 27, 2011 by Emasher
Cube Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Saw this alot when I was young. There's actually a person called Kevin Bacon?
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 There's actually a person called Kevin Bacon? No no. Those are the surnames of the two actors. Hans Kevin and Greg "Dutch" Bacon.
Kurtle Squad Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 (edited) Good to see a lot of people also saying An American Tail & Land Before Time. My list: An American Tail The Land Before Time All Dogs Go to Heaven Rescuers (& Down Under) Home Alone 1 + 2 Jurassic Park Toy Story Lion King The top three are films my childeren would be sure be sat infront of if I ever get round to having any. I liked a lot more Disney films too, Jungle Book and Robin Hood being two I loved. Also, I think Jaws has mildly scarred me. Edited July 1, 2011 by Kurtle Squad
