Eenuh Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Don't be too quick to judge. You don't really know yet what type of film it is, so it could fit perfectly. I think the character design looks great personally. =)

Paj! Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Deal with Scotland, everyone. I love her hair. Making it seem like ginger people in Scotland look like that. They wish.
The Bard Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 As far as musicals go, I can't fucking stand them, but Little Shop of Horrors is actually awesome.
The Bard Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I've not seen it. Shall I take it on your reccommendation that it's worth a shot?
Paj! Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I've not seen it. Shall I take it on your reccommendation that it's worth a shot? Yes. The best 'musical' is Cabaret, because the film isn't a musical. It's just a really good film, that has music in. Not even in the typical musical 'we start singing randomly!' - the music is only in context of the cabaret club, and isn't literally related to events in the story. It's one of my favourite films. It's so hard to get people to watch if they know the stage show is a musical/see the word musical associated with it. It's so...not.
Ashley Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I agree by the way. But....in all honesty, I'm not CRAZY about the character designs in Up. Hrm. The character designs in Up are amazing. Once you realise they're all simple shapes it blows you. As far as musicals go, I can't fucking stand them, but Little Shop of Horrors is actually awesome. Once again - Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical. Its your life. Deadly as a socialist, It shivers up our shores. Turning all our children into hooligans and whores. So apparently a Party Down movie is close to being finalised. Yes please!
Happenstance Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Just finished watching my Sunshine and Star Trek blu rays. Sunshine is just one of my favourite movies, despite not even liking the twist bit most of the way through, I just enjoy the rest so much, especially Chris Evans. I havent seen him in much to compare but I really love him in this. Its nice to see it in HD and a lot of the scenes look brilliant but I will always regret not seeing it at the cinema. Star Trek looked amazing as well, probably one of the best blu rays ive seen so far. I look forward to seeing what they do with the sequel.
ReZourceman Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Chris Evans is an absolute fucking superstar. In a solid drama like Sunshine, comedy like Not Another Teen Movie, and just about to prove himself headlining an action movie - so versatile. He is one of my favourite. He is my Indúa.
Wesley Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 I agree by the way. But....in all honesty, I'm not CRAZY about the character designs in Up. Hrm. Carl is maybe my favourite Pixar character in terms of design. Also I watched Coraline again. Amazing film!
ReZourceman Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 JEREMY RENNER IS A FUCKING G - TEASER TRAILER (Mission Impossible : Ghost Protocol)
LegoMan1031 Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 ^ Looking good! I have enjoyed each Mission Impossible film is here is hoping for another if not better one!
Frank Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 (edited) I saw the new X-Men film yesterday. I forget the actual name of it :p It was actually very, very good. I was a bit iffy at the start. The acting wasn't great and I had no idea where the story was heading. Much better as the film unfolded. Couldn't help but enjoy the history aspect of the film -- how it's all surrounding the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Liked the different languages. Especially French! Magneto + Mystique were my favorites. I'm so adjusted to having Mystique be like Ima gonna hurt you now, and you're gonna like it. with her cold, hard stare. It was refreshing to have her so subversive and innocent. I'm a Marvel noob though. Charles Xavier was annoying. I imagine he was supposed to be that way though (?). Also, was that supposed to be a depiction of Stalin in the film? I'm unsure. Great movie overall Shared a cookie and coffee with my bestie afterwards. Yesh ! Edited June 30, 2011 by Frank
Paj! Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Mystique and Magneto are the best damn thing in both the comics and movies. 2 of Marvel's best characters period, let alone 'best villains'.
Murr Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Tom Hanks pretty much confirmed a Toy Story 4.... 2:46 into the interview, the final 10 seconds - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-13923988 Not sure if want?
Sméagol Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 I don’t. Toy Story 3 felt like the perfect ending. Then again, I wasn’t expecting much from that one either, but they nailed it. If anyone can nail a 4th, it’s Pixar, but at this point I’d prefer if they didn’t.
Magnus Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 There should never be a Toy Story 4. I'm not really too worried about Tom Hanks saying that he thinks there will be one and that he thinks they're working on it now. One actor thinking a studio is going to make a sequel in a successful franchise is hardly confirmation of it definitely happening.
Kurtle Squad Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Toy Story 4 is a bad idea. They only just scraped under the barrier with 3.
chairdriver Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Toy Story 3 is my favourite movie of all time (the first and second are so meh for me).
Kurtle Squad Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Toy Story 3 is my favourite movie of all time (the first and second are so meh for me). I just didn't like the whole standard fare: The same old gang with no real changes. It made it loose the whole "we're the last left" feel: Slinky should have been missing. There were too many characters in on the adventure too, meaning purpose/screen time was limited: Bullseye was barely involved at all.
Coolness Bears Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Toy Story 3 is the greatest film ever I have it twice on DVD and wanted it a 3rd time. :p I've watched it like 15 times now or something. I can quote the entire movie.:heart:
jayseven Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Tom Hanks has gone money-mad. Not sayin' he wasn't making a mint before but... he's just acting odd recently. Mark my words! He's going all mel-gibson on us!
Paj! Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Apparently no one understands why he is in (and directed) Larry Crowne, considering he can be great, and will obviously have his absolute pick of anything Hollywood offers. (i.e Larry Crowne is supposed to be mediocre/bad)
