Retro_Link Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) It's well gone midnight, what's keeping you up into the early hours?... Myself, I'm just doing a bit of Photoshop work on a photo of an F1 car I took the other day. Edited August 20, 2010 by Retro_Link
Dan_Dare Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 My dissertation. I'm about 500 words short of my word count on this final portfolio but it can wait till the morning. I have till 5 tomorrow so a quick edit and a few loose ends are really all that's left. Funny that an entire year of my life has led to this, really. I'm really happy with what I've done this week though- near enough 6,000 words since Saturday, 3 interviews and a job application. Boom!
Will Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I'm at work in San Francisco, it's only 5:20 here.
Dan_Dare Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 When the screaming nuts did you move to San Fran? I swear I saw a picture of you in some brit suburbs not so long ago...
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 It's just a habit I've developed. If I don't need to be up early the next day, I don't go to bed before 3 at the earliest (which would be 2 o'clock for you Brits, seeing as I'm one hour ahead). At the moment I'm just catching up with all the threads I've missed while I've been away.
Emasher Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Its only 7:28 here. Although, I usually do stay up quite late, mostly due to just not being that tired.
Supergrunch Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Nothing much really. I need to format my computer and reinstall windows but am delaying doing it...
Will Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 When the screaming nuts did you move to San Fran? I swear I saw a picture of you in some brit suburbs not so long ago... I haven't... yet. I'm just here for a few week's helping the guys out with a few reporting bits and pieces. Plan is I'll move out fill time at some point in the next few months.
jayseven Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I've been playing Limbo, cussing at my internet connection and putting off tomorrow. Meant to meet a really, really boring mate in london tomorrow for a few hours because I'm too fucking nice to say no. It's been Bioshock 2 the last few nights, and will probably be Mass Effect 2 the next few. Or books!
Frank Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Night is the only time that I can get peace around the house, so generally, I like to stay up late for just that A lot of the time though, I just never get tired! :p
MadDog Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I never get tired enough to sleep till past 3am. At the earliest...

Raining_again Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I don't think I could break my body clock if I tried I go to bed around midnight most nights and up for 7 on the weekdays, and 8 or 9 on the weekends :P
Retro_Link Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 Well up until recently I've been working morning's... going to bed at 9.00pm and getting up for work at 4.00am. It's nice to have to not do that anymore, though I admit, the early mornings, getting up and out, did have a certain appeal! Got to see plenty of wildlife too! The rabbits, badgers and deer were out in force!
Will Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I really enjoy the very early mornings, when its just getting light and there's noone else around. Possibly my favourite part of the day actually.

Retro_Link Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) So wait, you like F1 which is nice and manly, and then you come out with that... ...oh right... *grunt* yeah... but I totally hit them with my car and shit... ...better? I absolutely didn't by the way! Edited August 20, 2010 by Retro_Link
Raining_again Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Oooh actually I really like night driving, when the roads are deathly quiet and all is still... All you can hear is the hum of your engine and the wind blowing over your car. There's something very peaceful about it.
nightwolf Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I tend to find it's because I can't sleep, I'll go to bed at 11pm here at home and wake up at 9, at sheffield I go to bed at anywhere between 1am and 5am and get up about 9am, it's infuriating. But quite handy for uni.
Goron_3 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 ...oh right... *grunt* yeah... but I totally hit them with my car and shit... ...better? I absolutely didn't by the way! Ever so slightly redeemed! Looks like I'll be up late tonight watching Titanic 2 on Syfy. Just know it's going to be awful.
Nami Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 This thread makes me feel so fucking old. Well up until recently I've been working morning's... going to bed at 9.00pm and getting up for work at 4.00am. It's nice to have to not do that anymore, though I admit, the early mornings, getting up and out, did have a certain appeal!Got to see plenty of wildlife too! The rabbits, badgers and deer were out in force! Aww Ashley! I'm there with you buddy! Since my uni days I've generally stopped the 3am bed time so feel an old doddery getting tired at 11ish! I like staying up though just don't have the energy after my days any more, just such a busy bee! I've never done the early mornings but would love to see the wildlife! Where I live I bet there's loads going on, might have to get up real early one morning and go for a wander.
