mcj metroid Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Edit: Just saw Phantom Hourglass as their best DS game so far. No, just get out. That's not even funny. Easily one of the worst Zelda games I've played. totally agree still a pretty good ds title but yes there are far better out there.. When you consider that new super mario bros is probably one of the worst mario title(platformers) but is probably considered one of the best on ds also it's pretty much the same deal..

Goron_3 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Well I can't exactly just pick ONE game for a couple of consoles because there's too much quality there, but here it goes: Gamecube: Melee (best fighting game everrr) and Resident Evil 4 N64: OoT (Conker's bad fur day is a close second though along with SM64) 360: Bioshock Nintendo DS: Phoenix Wright 3 PlayStation: Metal Gear Solid Game Boy Advance: Mario Kart: Super Circuit Game Boy Colour: Pokemon Silver Sega Mega Drive: Streets of Rage II or Sonic 3 & Knuckles Sega Master System: Sonic 1 Snes: SMW

Grazza Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 XBOX: Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath or Ninja Gaiden With Oddworld, did you prefer the 1st or 2nd half of the game? I preferred the 1st half, as it was a real wild west, capture the outlaws type of game, whereas the 2nd half was a more traditional FPS.
Guest Jordan Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 With Oddworld, did you prefer the 1st or 2nd half of the game? I preferred the 1st half, as it was a real wild west, capture the outlaws type of game, whereas the 2nd half was a more traditional FPS. The story twist was fantastic, it was actually one of the first times in a game i never saw it coming. I can't say which I preferred, its been a very long time since i last played it. All I can remember it being all damn good.

lostmario Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Never played R-Type on the MS (Mastersystem, yeah?) but its great to see it get a mention. Yeah, MasterSystem. I still have it, boxed and everything. Think I kept it back from selling to use on the GameGear.
Sheikah Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 (Nabbed the template) SNES: Chrono Trigger (by a long shot) MD: Sonic 2 N64: Majora's Mask (by a hookshot - ahead of Banjo Kazooie by a smidgen) PS: Final Fantasy VIII (best game ever made IMO, but I guess everyone has their favourite FF). PS2: Final Fantasy X/Shadow Hearts Covenant. DC: Sonic Adventure 2 GCN: Smash Melee Wii: Mario Kart Wii GB: Pokemon Blue (this can be the only winner) GBA: Golden Sun 1/2 DS: Tough Call. I really enjoyed the New Super Mario Bros. as well as Mario Kart DS. 360: If I could cheat I'd say Banjo Kazooie Arcade. But for real it'd be Halo 3
Oxigen_Waste Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Xbox - Halo 2. Oh lord. Easily the worst Halo game in the series. Come now, let's have a rational discussion about this, I never really got why people preffered the first halo to the second! I've yet to play the third, but I personally found the second one to be much superior, what's with all the hate?
Eenuh Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Will only vote for systems I've actually owned, which isn't that many (and I've played some NES games but not enough to vote for that). SNES - Super Mario World N64 - Majora's Mask GameCube - Wind Waker and Melee Wii - Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess GameBoy (Colour) - Link's Awakening (DX) and Pokémon (Red/Blue/Yellow) GameBoy Advance - Golden Sun (1 and 2) and Advance Wars 2 DS: Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Ouendan (though I love pretty much all of my DS games!)
Letty Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 My choices on consoles I own/ed. GB - Pokemon Yellow PS 1 - Spyro - Gateway to Glimmer ^__________________________^/FF7(sorry guys) Ps2 - Baulder's Gate: Dark Alliance/Devil May Cry 3 Megadrive - Altered Beast
Jav_NE Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 N64: Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie, OOT GameCube: Luigi's Mansion (loved it), Mario Kart: Double Dash Wii: Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports GBA: Sonic Advance DS: Mario Kart DS, Bomberman, Sonic Rush [PSP]: God Of War: Chains PS2: God Of War II PS3: Killzone 2, Street Fighter IV (cheating a bit i know), so LittleBigPlanet, SingStar (had loads of fun with it) 360: Banjo Nuts & Bolts, Lips (again, loads of fun)
Nicktendo Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 You ARE kidding right? You shouldn't joke about that kind of stuff when Metroid Prime 3 exists. Played MP3 for a bit but couldn't get into it. The feeling of something new in Red Steel was what made it one of the most fun games I'd played in years. Still love it and will defend it to the death
dwarf Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Metroid Prime 3 is the worst of the series. The first was the best, the second had slightly more annoying moments but did some cool things but the third... I don't know how they did it but they lost the magic. They ditched the scanner pretty much, added other hunters which made for crap bosses and lack of segregation. Locales weren't very interesting, more casual feeling. Yet after all the praise it's received it makes me wonder. I think because it is one of the best Wii games because the quality of other mildly similar games has been poor. One of my biggest game let downs. The only thing for me it did better was controls.
Cube Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Metroid Prime 3 is my favourite Metroid game...but probably just for the controls (I found MP1 and MP2 to be unplayable after MP3). The "Play on Wii" versions will likely change that, though.
