Jackster Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Hey people, it's that time of year again! The SQA results come out tomorrow, not sure when the other parts of the world's results come out but I for one am shitting it. Not sure if anyone else is going to be on between now and receiving their results but is anyone else really worried? Anyway, good luck to everyone!
ShadowV7 Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 My sister is getting hers via the e-mail/text thing. Decides whether she gets into Uni or not. Hopefully she'll make it in. She only needs to get a B to go to same Uni as me Hopefully she'll get in, if not I better help her through clearing.
LegoMan1031 Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Man only feels like yesterday i was waiting for my GCSE exam results. Good luck for all ppl waiting for results from there various different exams!
Gizmo Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Got A's at my two Int2 subjects and 1's at all my Standard Grades.
Nintendohnut Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 If it counts I already know I got a 2:1 in my first year in English Literature at uni. And a 2:2 in creative writing, but I'm disappointed with that one Good luck to everyone waiting as well, they always turn out better than you expect
Supergrunch Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 As far as I know, Scottish highers come out today, A-levels a week on Thursday (14th August), and GCSEs two weeks on Thursday (21st August). Good luck people!
martinist Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 >_< its threads like these that remind me of my epic failure of 3 years ago.
Chris the great Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 well, ive had my results for about 6 weeks now (a 2.2, narrowly missing a 2.1 in psychology if any one cares) good luck to every one, and isnt ironic that your more nervous before the result then the exams?
Goron_3 Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 14th August will decide what i apply for at Uni... I'm scared
Strider Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 14th August will decide what i apply for at Uni... I'm scared Same, although for some reason i'm not scared. I'm fairly sure i will have no lower than a C in all 4 subjects and i can/will always re-take a module or 2 next year.
Razz Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 9 days until I get mine, can't wait to be honest! Congrats to everyone with their results so far.
Emasher Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I got my results a few weeks after the exams. Good marks, but I can't remember the actual numbers.
Ninty 182 Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I'm dreading the day. I don't mind if I don't get the grades to go to uni but my family'll be upset and that's what I'm dreading. They're all acting like it's a certainty as well, all talking of when I'll go rather than if.
nightwolf Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I got a MMM at college, which is like three C's at a level. Not my best but enough to get me into uni.
Portlett Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 well, ive had my results for about 6 weeks now (a 2.2, narrowly missing a 2.1 in psychology if any one cares) good luck to every one, and isnt ironic that your more nervous before the result then the exams? i did the same, jsut missed out on a 2.1 by 1.5%. But ah well...
Calza Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Who else got their Highers today? (I'm looking at you Paj and Chair) I'm really really really pleased with mine, I think I could get into quite a few courses but I'm gonna stay for a 6th for the lols and physics. I got: Computing A Geography A Information Systems A English B Maths B I want to drop Advanced Maths now but I don't know, its another year of maths but I know it would (probably) be helpful. Argh decisions...
D_prOdigy Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 GCSEs for me - 21st August. Not nervous at all, considering once you've got a foot in the door of college, they don't even matter. Should do very well regardless, although I'm still adamant I've failed P.E. Got changed to a Btec course a year through the curriculum, and had a supply teacher 70% of the time.
Paj! Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I did 3 Highers and 3 As Levels (My school has jokish options for exams). Got my Highers back today; English A Yay. I did well in English for my GCSE's, but I never know If I've done well or not. Modern Studies C Meh. I passed, I don't care. I enjoyed taking the subject, but have always struggled with remembering facts, as evidenced by... Geography F I've never got anything below an E before, and not in an official exam. I honestly would never had thought I did that badly. However, I dunno If I can be bothered resitting, as I only care about my AS levels, really.
Uoon Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I got my higher results today Music - A PE - A English - A Modern studs - A Biology - A I was so shocked but the hard work paid off good luck to everyone
Letty Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Computing: A Art: A English: B Biology: B Geography: C I'm well impressed, I didn't even pass my Biology Prelim And well done Uoon! I knew you'd get that though, I was gonna ring you and check!
Charlie Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I got my higher results today Music - A PE - A English - A Modern studs - A Biology - A I was so shocked but the hard work paid off good luck to everyone Wow, well done. PE's bloody hard to get an A in. I think I ended up with 69% after getting something like 37/40 for the practical side of things. We were hardly taught any theory at all and it didn't help that I didn't do standard grade. Well done to everyone else too.
Uoon Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Thanks. Had really good teachers. Sarka got 5 As too and letty did great too
sarah♥ Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I get my AS results too on the 14th God i'm scared... Got AAA in my january modules, although something tells me that won't happen again... Need 'em though for medicine... =S
chairdriver Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I got Latin - A Chemistry - A French - A I'm getting my Maths and F. Maths on the 14th, which I'm pretty confident about (apart from M1).
