conzer16 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Yup. Doing a skydive in Wanaka tomorrow. It's 1.15am here at the moment and I'm up in less than 6 hours to hire a car, then drive 5 hours to Wanaka and throw myself out of a plane, all in celebration (??) of my flatemates 21st. hmmm.... >.<
Roostophe Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I'm jealous. I'd love to do that! Have fun flying through the sky.
Shorty Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Awesome there's something I wouldn't mind doing some day, if I could get up the guts. Have fun!
Cube Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Did you know that 60% of faulty parachutes result in near-fatal injuries or death? Of course, the chance of having a faulty parachute is minuscule.
The fish Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Ooh, that sounds like fun, it's something I've wanted to do for years! Just make sure you pull that cord!
ShadowV7 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Man your lucky. This is one thing I really want to do sometime soon. Would be a great experience.
Sparko Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Conzer man, from what you've posted about your trip so far it sounds amazing. That video you posted of the canyon bungee jump scares me just looking at it!
The fish Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Conzer man, from what you've posted about your trip so far it sounds amazing. That video you posted of the canyon bungee jump scares me just looking at it! My maths teacher/head of house went to NZ with his fiancee at Easter, and showed us some photos taken there, including bungee jumping in that very same canyon, which I knew I'd seen somewhere before. It was in the video Conzer had! *deskhead* Yes, I am aware that my maths class isn't doing work with less than a month to go. Oh shit, less than a month to go! Wank. Back to work! /sidetrack
Kirkatronics Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Did you know that 60% of faulty parachutes result in near-fatal injuries or death?Of course, the chance of having a faulty parachute is minuscule. But what % of them are faulty?less than 1% i assume.
D_prOdigy Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Ahh, my old maths teacher used to frenquently go on skydives.... He had a lisp. Never quite knew what happened to him...
gaggle64 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 What immortal enemy of freedom are taking down this time? Arabs? Communists? Arab Communists?
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Skydiving eh? I can't think of anything I'd rather do less, I'm terrified of heights. Edit- Except maybe jumping out of a plane without a parachute.
soag Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Yup. Doing a skydive in Wanaka tomorrow. It's 1.15am here at the moment and I'm up in less than 6 hours to hire a car, then drive 5 hours to Wanaka and throw myself out of a plane, all in celebration (??) of my flatemates 21st. hmmm.... >.< You are not wise in the head, I just about can get on a plane never mind jumping off one.

MoogleViper Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Damn you conzer. Bitterness aside nice one. I will definitely be doing this in the future.
Zero Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 I'm very jealous. My dad done it not to long ago and said he would take me next time but it's still not happened.
Eenuh Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Awesome! Your entire trip seems to be filled with awesome things! Honestly I would love to skydive! (though I bet I would pee my pants when I have to actually jump, but I would love the fall!) Lucky you. =3
Dan_Dare Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 But what % of them are faulty?less than 1% i assume. far, far less. think about it, if it was nearly 1% then every 1 in 100 sky dives would kill someone or something. hardly anyone dies from it.
