  1. Mario Golf World Tour

I contacted them yesterday once I discovered the issue. In fairness to Amazon they refunded me immediately. Not sure how it happened, I bought from Amazon directly, not one of the marketplace sellers. Looks like I won't be playing this for another while yet, back to Mario Kart!
  2. Mario Golf World Tour

I ordered this, along with Mario Kart from Amazon. Arrived during the week, have been addicted to Mario Kart so left this game to one side for the time being. Have a long car journey today, so have brought Mario Golf with me to play, however I have just discovered that the game, while it has Mario Golf on the cartridge sticker, and came in a Mario Golf box, is in fact a game called Dolphin Island.. Seems Amazon have sold me a fake copy
  3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS

Good call, have never actually played that. I also have an urge to play Oracle of Ages/Seasons. Too many games and not enough time!
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS

Finished this a few weeks ago, decided to avoid the Master Quest for now and moved on to Majora's Mask instead. Finished that over the weekend, and now need to decided whether to move on to Master Quest or Wind Waker. Serious Zelda nostalgia being stirred!
  5. Queen's visit to Ireland

I have to agree with you, I'm very happy with the visit. It's nice to see that we can finally host a visit from the Queen and that the majority of people here have accepted it and have no problem with it. I would have liked to have been in the Garden of Remembrance this afternoon, a truly historic and poignant moment. I'm glad the protests were nowhere near the levels of the 2006 Love Ulster parade protests but still it was quite embarrassing to see coverage of the few scumbags setting things on fire and attacking the police. The majority of these idiots are just causing trouble for the sake of it, dressed in their Utd/Liverpool tracksuits with the irony flying straight over their neanderthal heads.. I look forward to hearing the Queen's speech tomorrow night at Dublin Castle, hopefully the rest of the visit goes off without a hitch.
  6. bad stuff thread.

I went for a massive tumble in the snow after work. It started snowing heavily about an hour before I finished, by the time I left work the city was covered and I wasn't dressed appropriately, so after a few near misses I eventually and inevitably went down hard.. Didn't hurt too bad, but at the time the embarrassment of falling suppressed the pain!
  7. Pigeons!

I'm quite terrified of pigeons, almost to the point of having a phobia. It's because they seem to wait until the last minute to fly away when you get near them or they just fly right at you, scares the bejesus out of me. I've often crossed the street to avoid large groups..
  8. Accidents & Emergencies

Luckily I've never been in A&E to be treated myself, however I was there last week because my grandparents were in a car crash. They weren't badly injured, just a few bruises but they had to be seen as a precaution because of their age. Cue 8 hour wait in hospital. The only upside was the hilarious black woman nearby who proved to be a welcome distraction from the boredom, she was screaming for jesus to save her from dying a slow and painful death, she was being treated for a twisted ankle..
  9. 49. Manchester Orchestra. From left to right in the pic: Chris Freeman, Andy Hull, Jonathan Corley, Robert McDowell, Jeremiah Edmond.
  10. 39. You weren't bored, you loved every minute! 80. Graphite
  11. 72. David, played by Dylan Moran.
  12. Unlikely Dislikes

Tomatoes and mushrooms. It's not so much the taste, more the texture, makes me gag just thinking about it.
  13. Vow to watch a (TV) series.

The Wire is also on my list of shows to watch, I've been keeping an eye on the prices of the complete boxset and will likely be buying it any day now. Other than that, I've heard good things about Entourage and I have Band of Brothers sitting beside my TV just begging to be watched. I bought it after I watched and loved the Pacific, so I'll definitely watch it over the next few weeks.
  14. Toy Story 3 (Spoiler Tags!)

I checked on Google, found a couple of pages that suggest that he still speaks Spanish, just with a different dialect/accent, i.e. in Spain he speaks with a South American style flair and vice versa in Spanish speaking South American countries.
  15. Buffy

Hush was definitely one of the creepiest hours of TV I've ever seen. Those Gentlemen still give me a shiver thinking about them! Classic episode.
  16. Comicon 2010!

You'd swear they forgot Erica Durance has been playing Lois for years now the way they reacted every time she was on screen!
  17. Comicon 2010!

I like the Smallville trailer but that crowd is seriously annoying..
  18. Super Mario Galaxy 2

Managed to get up to 120 today, and started on the green stars. That crate burning one took me about 40 minutes in the end, I just refused to give up until I got it finished, came frustratingly close so many times but eventually got it thank god. Time to get cracking on the green ones so!
  19. Super Mario Galaxy 2

I'm on 115 at the moment, still early days compared to some of you! Think I should make it to 119 easy enough, but I know 120 is going to be a nightmare for me. I'm talking about the second crate burning galaxy, in world 5, absolutely ripping my hair out trying to do it!
  20. New Forum Theme

New theme looks fantastic. I love the progress chart in the world cup forum, just one niggling bit of feedback, in the quarter final section of the chart, Netherlands has been misspelt as Natherlands. Fairly inconsequential I know, but my job involves proof reading so I can't help noticing these things!
  21. Stars Catalogue/Updates

  22. Stars Catalogue/Updates

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I have a points card for the wii version of Pikmin 2 if anyone wants it, someone might as well get some use out of it before it goes in the bin! If you're interested, reply and it's yours.
  23. European Elections

That reminds me of when the 'Love Ulster' group announced that they were marching down the main street in Dublin city centre in 2006. Needless to say there was riots before the march even began. Instead of just ignoring it, a group of idiots starting wrecking the place and the unionist group just went home. I was embarrassed to be Irish that day, what sort of 'Republican' group stages a protest about a Unionist march by vandalising their own city? Idiots.
