Retro_Link Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Battlefield 3 is interesting, always looked so nice even if it wasn't the best campaign.
Tales Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Looks like this was almost correct. 3rd July: Battlefield 3 3rd July: Payday: The Heist 3rd July: Saints Row the Third 3rd July: Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus 3rd July: Unit 13 Already have Saints Row, but great for those who don't.
nightwolf Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Hey guys. I am considering jumping on the ps3 bandwagon - as much as I love my xbox360 (and its brand new as of this year) I've been considering a ps3 for the last of us, flower, journey etc for a while now. I was wondering if the ps3 has a YouTube and/or netflix app? I use both of these apps on my xbox360 quite often, so it'd be nice to have the ps3 and use these without having to pay xbl..?

ReZourceman Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 And they both work brilliantly. I assume its the same on XBOX, but the "use phone as a search/misc tool for YouTube and press button to play back on TV" is absolutely awesome.

I assume its the same on XBOX, but the "use phone as a search/misc tool for YouTube and press button to play back on TV" is absolutely awesome. Thank you for your answers! XBOX is the same, but I'd like to be able to have these services without paying extra. I've not issue with having an xbox purely for gaming (I don't do multiplayer anymore - hence getting rid of xbl if I can).
dwarf Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 The opening 10 seconds - one of the funniest gaming moments in recent memory.
Tales Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I "bought" Uncharted 3 on the PS online store. When I check the download list on the PS3 I see three items related to U3, the single player(12GB) and two files called 3D movies(11GB) and 2D movies(13GB). What are those?
Magnus Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I assume they're the cutscenes. You only need one of the packs, according to the internet.
Ashley Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Finally got around to playing Infamous 2 (properly, did play around at The Bard's house for a while). Not bad. Enjoying the parkour-esque nature of the movement, and of course hurling cars around. Although why it takes three hits to kill someone is beyond me Also weirdly enjoyed the After Effects cutscenes, even if they are cheap.
Tales Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Got an error when installing the file called Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Single Player. Must I redownload it or have I tried to install the game in the wrong order? I haven't downloaded the other files yet, so this was the first one.
Rowan Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I just finished my 2nd playthrough of Infamous 2, it's definitely worth playing to see both endings. I think the powers you get on the evil side make some of the later enemies easier to kill. Really amazing teaming up with The Beast in that final mission but killing Nix and Zeke along the way is just as thought provoking as the hero ending.

I don't think you can install it if you haven't already got the multiplayer mode downloaded as well
flameboy Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 MY PS3 randomly wouldn't play DVD's last night. It was just going to no signal, played games and netflix just fine. I'd moved my PS3 and unplugged my turtle beach headset which uses the composite for sound rather than just USB. Plugged it back in and it works! Makes no sense has obviously its upscaling and outputting at 1080i over hdmi.
flameboy Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I recall having the same problem. I cant remember what fixed it either lol. Yep...was starting to get so pissed off as google search shows its a common problem but no real solution...

Magnus Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Awesome, I've been meaning to get some of those games. Well, awesome and slightly annoying, because I hate spending money now on games I won't play until much later.
Tales Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Spyro is awesome. If you love platforming and collecting this one of the best. And you're playing as a dragon that breaths fire! You're getting them almost for free at that price. Thinking of getting Crash Bandicot and MediEvil. I have only played the demo of MediEvil, but I must done so a thousand times. How long does the sale last? Burned myself more than once on nostalgia :p
Magnus Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 The sale lasts for two weeks. I quite liked MediEvil when I played it on an emulator a few years back.
drahkon Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Spyro Collection, MediEvil, Destruction Derby and Guilty Gears (always wanted to try it). Well, shit. More money spent.
Shorty Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 LBP Karting was the game that showed me, after owning a PS3 for about 3 years, that you can't sign two people into a machine at once. What the heck is up with that??
Dog-amoto Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Thank you for your answers! XBOX is the same, but I'd like to be able to have these services without paying extra. I've not issue with having an xbox purely for gaming (I don't do multiplayer anymore - hence getting rid of xbl if I can). I know it's paying another premium, but I heartily recommend PS+ when you do get one.
nightwolf Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 I know it's paying another premium, but I heartily recommend PS+ when you do get one. So, I ended up buying a brand new 500gb PS3 with the last of us for £199. I ended up cancelling my xbl subscription just now and I'm pretty much converted to the playstation. Don't get me wrong, I love my xbox360 and I'll still use it for gaming, but I'm pretty much back on the Sony bandwagon. Thanks everyone .
drahkon Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 PSN ID. Add me and the NE-Lot. The Last of Us multiplayer. Go!
