Sanchez Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 A few years ago I was watching Cartoon Network pretty late and this show called "Home Movies" started, the art style (or lack thereof) gave me low expectations but the show is very much dialogue driven and surprisingly entertaining. So recently I delved back into it and I'm enjoying it a lot, here's a clip from season 2 (yes, this is indeed animated in flash). BTW don't draw too many conclusions from this clip, the jokes are pretty varied. and a bio stolen from wikipedia: It is about eight-year-old Brendon Small (voiced by the creator, head writer, and lead musician of Home Movies, Brendon Small), who makes home films with his friends, Melissa Robbins and Jason Penopolis, in his spare time. He lives with his divorced mother, Paula, and his adopted baby sister, Josie. He is also friends with his alcoholic, short-tempered soccer coach, John McGuirk. So what shows do you like that no one watches?
Cube Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I guess Firefly and Enterprise, as both were canned due to lack of people watching. Everyone buy Firefly on DVD!
Roostophe Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 It seems not many people watch Arrested Development, despite it being absolutely brilliant. Maybe that's why there were only 3 series. I think it's probably just me and about two other people who have watched .hack//Sign, which is as brilliant as A.D.

Are you aware that home movies is from the same creator of Metalpocalypse?
arnold Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I've not seen a lot of people talk about Pushing Daisies and Journeyman, both new shows and both brilliant, shame this bloody writers strike is fucking up with the scripts, can't believe they've had such a short season (and Journeyman in fear of being canceled altogether) because of some bloody strike. If no one has seen them I whole heartedly recommend them both, just grab the first 2 episodes of them and see what you think =D
Sanchez Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 Are you aware that home movies is from the same creator of Metalpocalypse? I was not, I saw a clip of metalpocalypse but it didn't appeal to me much but I'll definitely give it a go now.
Hellfire Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I was not, I saw a clip of metalpocalypse but it didn't appeal to me much but I'll definitely give it a go now. Please do, it is awesome. You stole my suggestion OW! Anyway, Veritas is a pretty cool show and not very well known. I was younger when I saw it, so I might be wrong, but I really liked it
jayseven Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Trapped! If anyone else has been watching this for the last four weeks, I applaud you :P
The fish Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Enterprise was very good, I thought. It didn't have any of the cheese of the previous series, partially because it cut a certain two-word name I shall not mention here in it...
Dyson Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Trapped! If anyone else has been watching this for the last four weeks, I applaud you :P Trapped is hilarious! It's not like there's a prize or anything But looks like fun nonetheless.. Makes me want to go on Fun House all over again.
jayseven Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 haha :P I just can't think of any show that I watch that nobody else does, besides Kid's TV. Deadwood is one option buty I know Dan Dare watches it. Another is Mystery Science Theater 3000 which is (was) FUCKING AMAZING.
Roostophe Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Quoted for truth. Watch eet! Do eet nah!
welsh_gamer Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Monk? My friend's seem to think that this is a programme for old people, quite simillar to Murder She Wrote say, so they don't watch it, but it's a fantastic detective series with some great twist's and a superb main character.

Monk is brilliant, oh to be a student again waking up at the crack of noon then settling down to the Neighbours, Doctors, Monk, Countdown combo every day.

Ellmeister Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Pokemon. I wish I still watched it =[ Villan I've started watching .hack//Sign, I came in through the middle so its really confusing and makes no sense.
Roostophe Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Villain I've started watching .hack//Sign, I came in through the middle so its really confusing and makes no sense. They're replaying the whole series on Anime Central, starting with Ep 1 tonight. But if you can't watch it, there's always YouTube.

Guest Stefkov Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I guess Firefly and Enterprise, as both were canned due to lack of people watching. Everyone buy Firefly on DVD! qft.
