jayseven Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 - Bought my mum a laptop - Found out argos has decided to not transfer me - Unemployed face - TWO cheap places with mates have opened up in sheff -- one for £290 including ALL bills near where i used to live, which is a weekly contract, another for £300 including water and internet near the trendy part of town, which is a 6-month contract. I have enough money to cover either for 6 months, then all I'd need is money for food/booze/fags/etc. Argos in sheff said they'd be fine with me coming back so I could get that job again, or I could dole while job-hunting. But I only just got back to brighton and moved all my stuff. I don't know what to do at all. - Going to lagoon! That'll solve... something
Shorty Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 You can't come back this soon, you had a leaving do and said bye and stuff! There were hugs! I'm kidding you should totally come back.
jayseven Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I know, rite? I mean I've only been gone a week. Most people haven't even noticed that I've gone yet.
ReZourceman Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Move back if it will make you happy. Maybe you'll find something in the move that you misplaced (for a week) and get happy memories. Unless its happy memories of Brighton which would make the whole situation yet more complicated. So Movie Week is going well. I've watched one movie every day. ------------ God this looking for a holiday jazz isn't all its cracked up to be.
Eenuh Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Got paid from work today, yay! Now I almost have all the spending money I need for my London/Brighton trip heh. =) Also got a phonecall from the eye doctor's office today. Apparently my surgery has been moved from January (though they apparently moved that to November already too without telling me) to 10 September, ahhhhh. Bit unexpected, and right before school starts again, but oh well. Means I'll get it done with quickly heh. *nervous*
Happenstance Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 On a crappy course at the moment, its once again completely pointless. Also, as I have mentioned before I really hate this heat! Still, im looking forward to sorting out a camping trip soon with Goafer and our mate. Every year we talk about doing something so I really want to get it all sorted this time.
nightwolf Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Jay - if its better move back to sheffield. -Been at my mates on and off since yesterday afternoon. - me and the boy are definitely not going on holiday together, definitely single. - parents coming saturday with massive tv /care
Raining_again Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 jayseven said: Do it most eye surgeries are very successful and totally worth doing. I'm just a bit bitter. Surgery is fun! People give you presents, you get to take drugs LEGALLY and then they even give you a voucher entitling you to FREE DRUGS for a few weeks. And for girls you get flowers and whatever. For boys we get hot nurses! Then afterwards you get family sympathy and time off work/school/the street. FOR GAMES! waaaaaaahey free drugs, time off work! (and i'd get sick pay aka full money) mwahahah Did it take you long to get back to what you consider normal? I'm concerned about how long i'll have to be off work if I need surgery! That should be a good thing right? Aww I wish you all the luck in the world m'dear
Dyson Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I saw the weirdest thing today. A car drove past me on the way home from work, with four Holland car flags, a team scarf in each window, two banners stuck on the front and back window and the horn stuck down. All four people inside were wearing orange shits and cheering their faces off when the driver turned to me and gave me two thumbs up as they drove past. It was just plain bizarre. Obviously it's to do with them getting to the final of the World Cup but still, you don't expect it
Debug Mode Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Today was EVENTFUL. Working in a warehouse sucks so much cock. While this point of view is subjective, because I'm straight, I'm not okay with this. It is a metaphor. Sexuality isn't a problem, soap is. So, the managers where all like "SHIT SON GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR", which I did. Felt good. Then they fucked off the highest performing item picker, picking an average of 230 items an hour, nearly 4x the target. So in retaliation, he picked on target and no more each hour. Chaos ensued, the manager who pissed him off had to apologise. I laughed, a fatal flaw in the target based work system. So yes, clearly eventful and no I do not sell towels to wipe your seat clean of the moisture you deposited reading this post.

Aww I wish you all the luck in the world m'dear Wayyyy earlier than expected haha. Instead of having to wait 6-7 months, I'll now have it done in two. =O Though I will ask them to do the eye test again before the surgery. Don't want me getting double vision or something (last time they did the test I was tired out, so might have affected it). I slept horribly last night, sooooo hot. The heat here recently has not been normal. Today it'll go up to 36° again (maybe even a bit more). Pffff. Plus I ended up with mosquito bites everywhere, even right under my foot, ahhh. Worst place for one! But in better news, I'm finally losing some weight again, yay! Hope I can keep up with it now and reach my goal. ^___^
Cube Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 It's forecast rain for the next week or so, just as the hosepipe ban starts.
EEVILMURRAY Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) Finally finished painting the dragon I bought, shall take some sexy pictures shortly. EDIT: I need a new camera. This can't do close for shit. And as Jay noted [kinda]: jayseven said: I saw my lame brother who does nothing ever but mummy still lets him live here rent free like me as he was leaving the house. He's in a bit of a strop, since mum isn't letting him stay at home while she goes away on holiday for two weeks. Reason being is that despite his promises not to previously, he rings his mates and they all come round for loud drug fuelled bullshit and doesn't clean up after. He's having a mardy because mum asked our step mum and Dad if they would look after him [He wasn't going to do this "tomorrow" of course] Edited July 9, 2010 by EEVILMURRAY
ReZourceman Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 That looks awesome dude. Your painting seems to have really come along, I'd say thats your best work to date.
jayseven Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 eeeeeuuuurggaaaaahhhhhh! yesterday I find out I'm effectively unemployed. Today my mum, knowing the situation, says she wants me to start paying rent. £400 a month. A WEEK! It only took one tiny week for her to bring up the subject. There was a sweepstakes on it in my mind and none of my brain cells thought it'd be a week. I just bought my mum a laptop for £400 as a sort of "thanks for letting me stay here while I find some feet to stand on, or whatever"... So my options now? Dunno. Fuck sake. Favourite option is to, again, bung stuff in storage and bum about at various mate's houses week by week, until i find a job. But how realistic is that? Another option is to find a place in brighton/sheffield with a 6-month contract, which my money will cover, and use that as a fuse showing how much time I have to find a job before my life explodes once more. And I can't find my shaver and my beard is getting ridiculous.
ReZourceman Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Thats fucked up Jay. Also £400? To live at home. Thats ridiculous. Just move out/with someone/house share/when you get a job/loller said than done etc.
Jon Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Surgery is awesome, for all the reasons Jay said plus the fact that you generally have surgery because you need something fixed. The body is a good healer but there's no substitute for precision cutting tools in the hands of a man of medicine.
Wesley Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Raining_again said: OH and the biggie, did a bit of research and its highly likely that the swine flu vaccine has triggered my bowel problems (crohns) so if you've got a family history don't bloomin' get that vaccine >____> I had it and it was okay for me, maybe something else? Finally got my desk put together (it's a piano black and I can see my dusty reflection in it) and computer set-up. Time to start doing some work finally!
Shorty Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Wtfffff, £400 a month to live at home on a sofa is insane. Where is she imagining you will get that money from? You could get a 2 bed flat to yourself for that back up here.

I had a VERY nasty episode of diarrhoea/cramps for about a month after each injection, Crohn's is also known to be (initially) triggered by mycobacterium. I assume you had it before the swine flu vaccine? I didn't. I saw on the internet that some people reported that it triggered an episode but others were fine! Did you get the single vaccine or the double?
chairdriver Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I've decided I'm going to become a games designer when I graduate. I'm being blown by Persona 4 at the moment, and I've just realised how much potential that field of work has. I need to make a stunning RPG, where you can actually choose whether you want to be male/female, straight/gay/asexual, whatever. Set in a realistically big city, which you never leave.

chairdriver Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 MoogleViper said: Fable II. . I hate that though. Feels too much like Grand Theft Auto; running about doing crap feels more pressing than the actual storyline.

I'd get out of there if i were you, it seems that your own mother is attempting to throw you out Jay by the only legal way. MoogleViper said: Fable II. . Or Elder Scrolls IV
Raining_again Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I pay £100 a month to live at home... If I had to fork out that much I would be out of the door! Maybe she thinks you are moneybags because you bought her the laptop?
