fex Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Intel i7 920 overclocked to 3.80GHz Nocturna 2-fan heatsink Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Intel X58 Motherboard Antec 900 Gaming Case with 20mm top fan Patriot Viper 6GB DDR3 RAM 1.5 TB Seagate HDD winnar. Awesome thats 90% the same as my next build. Instead of the Antec 900 I'm going for the Antec P183 and i'll be going for a smaller HD. Did you order that bundle from Overclockers?
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Yeah, I love that Articuno. Which set is it? This is the newest set Supreme Victors. Here is the odd one out Articuno from the set I'm pretty sure I have the original Promo versions of those cartoony ones. With the original normal art. Same attacks/stats though. I have those too! Original artwork here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/POKEMON-Legendary-Articuno-Moltres-Zapdos/dp/B000P4ZNLC
S.C.G Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 So which is the hardest card to get in this new set then? would that be the Lvl X Rayquaza? also can any card in theory be a shiney? I remember the 'good old days' when Pokemon cards were much simpler... Does anyone even collect the really old ones from the first sets now? because they can't be used in the new game, correct?
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 So which is the hardest card to get in this new set then? would that be the Lvl X Rayquaza? also can any card in theory be a shiney? I couldn't tell you meself. But at the booster draft tourney I went to a few people found some Rayquaza [Which I pronounce Ray-Kahza, none of that Quaser shit] But it always seems the ones that are supposed to be the rarest get found the most. In the Neo Revelation [i think] set they had "Triple Star" rares. I got at least three Shining Charizards myself. To answer your other question, yes, almost every card in the newer sets are released as reverse holos. I remember the 'good old days' when Pokemon cards were much simpler... I know Does anyone even collect the really old ones from the first sets now? because they can't be used in the new game, correct? Sadly not playable anymore in the modern Modified format. But can be played in Unlimited tournaments. The playable sets are mentioned here: http://www.pokegym.net/tower/ Which is where I got the images for those cards.
Paj! Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I couldn't tell you meself. I always pronounced it Ray-Kwaaza. Like it's spelled. Then in the anime is like, "Go, Raykwayzerrr", and I wanted to throw up. Horrible pronounciation.
Sheikah Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I always pronounced it Ray-Kwaaza. Like it's spelled. Then in the anime is like, "Go, Raykwayzerrr", and I wanted to throw up. Horrible pronounciation. lol, reminds me of Final Fantasy X. Everyone in the history of time pronounced chocobo as "chock-a-bo", but the NPCs started saying "Choke-a-bo". That was a sad day for us all.
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I always pronounced it Ray-Kwaaza. Like it's spelled. Then we pronounce it similarly, which is most pr0. [My way is better though ]
Paj! Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Then we pronounce it similarly, which is most pr0. [My way is better though ] Although Kwaaza would gramatically make more sense than Kaaza. Just saying.
S.C.G Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I just type things how they are originally spelt...
Paj! Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I just type things how they are originally spelt... We meant saying the names in real life...
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Although Kwaaza would gramatically make more sense than Kaaza. Just saying. Perhaps, but I like to think mine sounds more exotic, thus better. Don't make me get Bibleman on you.
The fish Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I just spent £33 on shirts at RedMolotov.com, but, fuck it, it was worth it.
dan-likes-trees Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I just spent £33 on shirts at RedMolotov.com, but, fuck it, it was worth it. Don't suppose you were at the Inn last night? Saw someone who I thought might be you but decided not to risk it in case I ended up asking a random stranger if they were Fish
MoogleViper Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 lol, reminds me of Final Fantasy X. Everyone in the history of time pronounced chocobo as "chock-a-bo", but the NPCs started saying "Choke-a-bo". That was a sad day for us all. So very true. Although Kwaaza would gramatically make more sense than Kaaza. Just saying. Not necessarily. "qu" can sound like "k" as well as "kw". Quay, mannequin etc.
Ganepark32 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Today's solitary purchase (one that'll surely please Dan Dare): Temporary Pleasure - Simian Mobile Disco Just sort of said to myself 'What the hell. Not like I'm spending the money on anything else at the moment what with the TV broken'
Paj! Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Not necessarily. "qu" can sound like "k" as well as "kw". Quay, mannequin etc. You're right. I suppose Raykazza just sounds shitter than Raykwazza.
Fused King Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I bought a knuckle sandwich today, ....and it still hurts:mad:

The fish Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Don't suppose you were at the Inn last night? Saw someone who I thought might be you but decided not to risk it in case I ended up asking a random stranger if they were Fish I was! Briefly, anyway - some friends of mine in your year at Roundwood just got their results, so we were celebrating. We transferred to the park, which was fun. I'll be there again tonight, so if you are, I'll keep my eyes open. Not that I know what you look like, but still...
S.C.G Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Today's solitary purchase (one that'll surely please Dan Dare): Temporary Pleasure - Simian Mobile Disco *Is currently listening to for the first time* It's pretty damned nice.
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 You're right. I suppose Raykazza just sounds shitter than Raykwazza. You suppose wrong. Bitch.
Ganepark32 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 @ S.C.G. - Unfortunately, I've yet to listen to it. I put it in the laptop earlier but then decided to do some writing and thought I'd put on something more familiar to get me through writing up some awful game. I'll definitely stick it on properly later. 10,000 Horses Can't Be Wrong is probably the best I've heard so far but I've only heard two songs.
Eddage Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 This: PS3 Slim? When was this announced and why haven't I heard a thing about it?!
