Dyson Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 GAME-branded 360 VGA Cable, £15. Anyone know if I should have gotten an official one or does it not matter?
Sheikah Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 GAME-branded 360 VGA Cable, £15. Anyone know if I should have gotten an official one or does it not matter? Shouldn't matter, all these cables do the same thing usually.

Sheikah Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Canon IXUS 80 IS...just trying it out now.
Daft Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 A real early birthday present from my mum. (I hadn't intended to upgrade my phone but I'm really happy with it.) Samsung SGH-F 480V iPhone eat you heart out. 32Gb storage. 7.2 Mbps high speed internet 5 Megapixel camera Touch screen and all that FM Radio Compatible with windows and apple apps. I fear my phone is now smarter than I.
Jon Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Shouldn't matter, all these cables do the same thing usually. Incorrect, VGA is analogue, so the picture quality can depend on the cable.
Sheikah Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Incorrect, VGA is analogue, so the picture quality can depend on the cable. The chances of there being a step-up in quality are so minimal that I wouldn't worry about it.
Paj! Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 And went to go the Janet Cardiff & George Bures Miller exhibition, (3rd time I've seen their stuff in the last 2 years or something...Love it.) Bought a poster.
Jon Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 The chances of there being a step-up in quality are so minimal that I wouldn't worry about it. You obviously haven't used many VGA cables then.
Sheikah Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 You obviously haven't used many VGA cables then. Loads. And a quick google: "i was using my bog standard cable i got with my samsung monitor, i was using it on my plasma 42", i wanted a better cable for peace of mind, i spent 24 quid on a profigold vga - vga cable, never noticed any difference, other cables or more expensive cables may show an improvement, at least i have the peace of mind im not losing any pic quality." Unless the cable he gets is literally made by a retard I'm sure it won't matter at all.

Calza Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Loads. Last time I checked it was only MS and possibly Monster who offered shielded VGA cables.
Daft Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 That looks awesome! I want one Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with it. I can't get over the size considering how much stuff it does.
The fish Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I had a bit of a clothes shopping spree for Uni... 3 'smart' shirts for night out, etc. 2 pairs of jeans. Pack o' 5 socks. Trainers for gym (my halls are about a 45 second walk from the gym). Another box that'll fit under a bead to keep stuff in. Lunch. A good day out in Luton.
Platty Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I got some new jeans and 3 shirts. I also picked up mario and sonic olympics for £15 from morrisons.
Babooo Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 8GB Memory Stick - £13.99 Thats the one I want! I had a bit of a clothes shopping spree for Uni... 3 'smart' shirts for night out, etc. 2 pairs of jeans. Pack o' 5 socks. Trainers for gym (my halls are about a 45 second walk from the gym). Another box that'll fit under a bead to keep stuff in. Lunch. A good day out in Luton. I need to do some clothes shopping for uni too! The fish Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I need to do some clothes shopping for uni too! Couple of shirts, maybe new pair of jeans etc. ....My money's aready going!! :( Use Primark, it all came to less than £40, my dad's lunch (for he had the money) included.
triforce_keeper Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Ewwww Primark. Some of the girls stuff is alright, but the men's......
Dyson Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Nothing wrong with Primark. Just because the shirts don't cost £15+ and have a "River Island" label on them doesn't mean they're shit.
Ellmeister Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 No its because they are probably made by people who eat food that is worse than shit.
ipaul Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 No its because they are probably made by people who eat food that is worse than shit. I love these people who claim they won't shop at Primark because the low costs mean slave labour. Yes they probably do. But do you honestly think that places like Topman/River Island are much better for it? Why do you think they have a 'Fair Trade' section in Topman? If all of their clothes were 100% ethically sourced, they wouldn't need to. Nike and Gap are infamous for their use of slave labour and sweatshops, yet the cost of their goods can be astronomical. Just because you pay more doesn't mean the goods you buy are ethically sourced.
