It's almost the end of the year and so the inevitable question...game(s) of the year?

 

For me:

1. Zelda: Twilight Princess

2. Gears of War

3. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

 

Also I might aswell throw in my 3 most anticipated for next year:

Super Mario Galaxy

Halo 3

Blue Dragon

(I have a feeling we won't see SSBB till spring 2008...)

Top 3 of 2006:

 

1. Gears of War - It has innumerable things wrong with it, but its perfect. Doesn't even make sense.

2. New Super Mario Brothers - Didn't have the chance to play the original 2D Marios, being an N64 kid and all that, so to me everything was fresh and, to be honest, brilliant.

3. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - Just. Absolutely. Fucking. Massive.

 

 

Most anticipated:

 

1. Halo 3.

2. Mario Galaxy.

3. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.

Ooh it's a toughie but even after this short term I'd have to say

 

1. Zelda - TP (better than I'd even hoped)

 

2. Wii Sports (just for the sheer amount of laughs I've had with gf and parents)

 

3. 42 All Time Classics (bit random but it's saved my life on the commute to London)

 

Looking forward to Phantom Hourglass if we ever get it, Wario Ware Smooth Moves & Mario Galaxy (ofc)

Hmm my 3 games?

 

1. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, It's pretty much the perfect Zelda so far, it's no wonder they are changing it for the next instalment. There's nothing you can really do to it now if you keep it the same after this game.

 

2. Final Fantasy XII: Square-Enix just keep making awesome RPGs. This is no exception. It's revamped the series to up it a notch. Probably the best RPG this year.

 

3. Gears of War: Nothing revolutionary, just a fucking awesome game that plays fantastic, looks fantastic and sounds fantastic.

 

Next year I want..hmm

That game came out years ago, get over it...

 

1, Zelda: Twilight Princess - The only game to keep me playing in to my 40th hour in years.

2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1 - Short but very very sweet.

3, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter - Awesome single player, awesome online... everything awesome.

1) Gears of War - played it at my friends house and I know it's amazing.

(I know numbers 2 and 3 were out last year, but getting them last Christmas meant that Ive been playing them mostly this year, understand?)

2. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (not sure when that came out)

3. Perhaps Wii Sports (had a lot of fun with it since I got it, the whole family has)

3. Stars Wars Battlefront (got it this year) PS2 (best damn games of its genre)

My top 3 are:

2. WiiSports.

3. Brain Training

 

I've only been playing wiisports and twilight princess for a few days (obviously), but they've already surpassed a lot of the other games i've played.

 

Honourable mentions also go to:

 

New Super Mario Bros.

Metroid Prime Hunters (for online play)

Animal Crossing.

I got animal crossing in 2005, so:

 

1) Metroid Prime: Hunters

2) Brain Training

3) New Super Mario Bros.

 

I'm sure 2 and 3 will be rubbed off when I get my wii. Wii sports and zelda... argh, stupid play.com.

I don't have a Wii yet so it's probably like this:
