Both sound very plausible. And members of the press do sometimes get to see parts of the ND in advance (that's where the leaks came from from the last ND), so it could well have been leaked to him by someone from the press...

Weird that the robot set is PEGI 7... There aren't any humans you're fighting, just other robots and buildings! Edit: Oh wait... I forgot that there's a 2 player fighting mode that was recently announced for it, that's probably the cause then.

Captain Toad sequel, les go!!

Yes you do. Even if you get the download code on discount, or for free, you get the full eShop value's worth of gold points.

If you bought anything from a different region, the coins are now hidden until you switch regions back. They're not gone. They're region specific though.

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/03/bullet_hell_shooters_vasara_and_vasara_2_are_coming_to_switch_next_year Well this is random! Someone else is now releasing some old school arcade Shmups on Switch! As Vasara 1 & 2 are getting packaged together as a "HD Collection" on Switch early next year, courtesy of QUByte Interactive! A very obscure set of Shmups that have never been released outside of Japanese arcades before! HG101 are pretty positive about them though! Coming out "early 2019"; no I don't know why they'd announce it so far in advance either , but hey! MOAR SHMUPS!

I am SO ready for my £2 eShop credit!

That's amazing! Reminds me of those giant Game Boys (Game Men?) that people have made. Though I do wonder if anyone will actually attempt something that replaces the current Switch screen with a 1080p one and forces the Switch to run in docked mode, even when not plugged into the dock; while keeping a similar form factor... Sounds like a job for Ben Heck

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2018-02-28-hooked-on-loot-boxes An excellent article on the matter that highlights how publishers are designing games to purposely consume people’s lives and how the ESRB are literally refusing to inform people about what lootboxes are... (their rationale? Because research shows that they don’t currently know what they are! - You honestly couldn’t make it up!) The ESRB literally has one job, to inform people about what is in the games they are buying, and they are currently going out of their way to not do that job!

The next batch of ACA NeoGeo games include the following...

BTW, friendly reminder. The Wii Shop channel will stop allowing you to add Wii points to make new purchases from March 26th! There are plenty of games that are ONLY available on the Wii VC and nowhere else outside of their original platform currently! Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 2/4 SNES, Castlevania Rondo of Blood (unless you want the butchered PSP version...), most of the TG16 library, Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen... Note that all import titles on the Wii VC (and ALL TG16 Wii VC games in general) are 60hz (except for import Megadrive games, they’re all 50hz for godknowswhat reason). If you don’t want to pay £50+ for Chrono Trigger or £250+ for Castlevania Rondo of Blood, get them while you still can!! Wii U has access to the Wii Shop Channel via the Wii menu as well! Get those exclusives while you still can!!

http://www.8bitdo.com/wireless-usb-adapter/ Cool! 8Bitdo just released a new USB wireless adapter that lets you use Wii Remotes/Wii Classic Controllers/Wii U Pro Controllers/Dual Shock 3/4 on Switch! Might just have to nab one. Would be great to use a classic controller or my Wii Tatsucap arcade stick on Switch!

Funnily enough, your good ol' pal Jim Sterling did a little video on that guy and his "game" just a few days ago... Needless to say, the "Dating Guru" doesn't come across very well

It has its own take on the concept called Raid Mode. Kind of a mercenaries style mode with RPG mechanics. Raid mode in the first RE:R is loads of fun! Never really dived into Raid Mode in RE:R 2 though, so I can't comment too much on it.

Wait till you see Joy... You'll be taking a lot more pics than that

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe League 2018 (Final results now in)
Dcubed replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I got them all, though I got a few screenshots a little late (so a few of them will need to be calculated from the difference between the total and the previous round). -

Wahey! Finally! I got a good result for once! -
Just tried the demo in single player. I can tell that this is gonna be a slower paced game than the last 3 mainline Kirby games. The level design is pretty simple and has you waiting around for things to happen a fair bit; It also does the whole multi-character puzzle thing that Kirby & The Amazing Mirror does, but when playing alone, it kind of feels like the game is figuring out the puzzles all for you... I kind of get where Nintendo World Report are coming from in their preview. It’s definitely slower paced than the last three games. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s not my preference. I feel that Kirby is at his best when his games offer fast paced, high NRG action and this feels more plodding and methodological in its pacing. Also 30FPS really sucks, HAL absolutely made the wrong choice here, it doesn’t feel great at all. I’m sure it’ll be a good time and I’ll certainly still get it, but I can already tell that this won’t be one of my favourite games in the series. Feels more like a Dreamland 3/Kirby 64 tier game than a Return to Dreamland/Robobot/Superstar tier game.

I'm sure you're all familiar with the MSU1 chip enhancements for SNES games by now; using it to replace soundtracks in SNES games with pre-recorded music and to add FMV sequences. Well someone just did one for the SNES Ninja Gaiden Trilogy... Only they've replaced the SNES soundtrack with the superior NES one

"Friends" BWAHAHAHAHA!!! Wow! The sheer contempt they have for us is hilarious! This is just an attempt to hide the usage of lootboxes behind an umbrella label that applies to all DLC; if anything it actually just obscures the use of lootboxes even more than is being done now because it implies that it is no different from any other form of downloadable content transaction. They're purposely dancing around the issue in the hope that they can get away with not addressing the actual problem. They actually do think we're that stupid.

Lol! I broke the eShop! I went to remove my card details, an error occurred and it seems to have brought down the entire server in all regions!

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy (Switch)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I’m disappointed with the docked resolution too! It’s a PS3 game! The Switch should have absolutely no trouble running it at 720p/1080p! It’s more powerful than Wii U undocked, let alone PS3, it shouldn’t be running worse than the last gen version! Sounds like a rush job port here. -
There's actually a little more to that pic that the guys on Reset Era noticed... Look at the top, highlighted in green... MG - KIA = Metal Gear: Killed in Action At this point, I suppose the Vengeful Mosquito refers to Konami's execs as a whole Brilliant stuff! Hope the rest of them jump ship to join Kojima soon!

Great watch! A shame that they didn't go into more detail about Zwei, but I'm glad they at least touched on how they did the water effects in Zwei. I only played it (and the rest of the series) for the first time a couple of years back and those effects just utterly blew me away! There was absolutely nothing like it on any other platform of that era! Not even N64! What a wonderful set of games! Just such a shame that they're not available on modern platforms (especially Saga, which is just stupid expensive now).

Pretty damn solid list. I pretty much find no fault with it at all, outside of the GBA list. All I'd say is that I'd add Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, Wario Land 4 and Super Mario Advance to the GBA section (The first for being genre defining titles, where both series were brought to the west for the first time thanks to the GBA, the third for being the apex of a series that defined the entire line of Game Boy platforms and truly represented an "Advanced" take on action platformers thanks to the GBA's capabilities, and the fourth one for being the game that started the cavalcade of SNES ports that flooded the platform). I'd also strongly consider adding Super Mario 3D Land and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds onto the 3DS list; being the obvious standout games that made the best use of the S3D feature.
