Very true. The market is just oversaturated. There’s no way that anyone has the time to play them all; hell even have time to even find out about everything coming out!

I would put the money into your PayPal wallet in advance if I were you. I had quite a bit of trouble adding the funds initially (my bank rejected the PayPal wallet top-up transaction twice before I had to do the confirmation thingy that it was a genuine transaction; and only then did it let me add the funds). If you fill up your PayPal wallet in advance, the payment should go through smoothly like mine did.

A new thread!? What a time to be alive! Gonna be so surreal and strange to play a different game after 11 long years. We’ll have to go back to MK8DX+BCP on occasion (just to mess with our muscle memory!), but wow! A new game! I can’t believe I lived to see it! I am currently the world’s best Mario Kart World player, with an unbroken winning streak of four whole races at the pre-launch event (including two 24 player knockout tours), so if you want my Pimp Crown…

Yeah, it's very unfortunate timing here. Honestly, they might be better off just delaying the game and waiting until it's properly finished, with the missing tracks added and the true 4k/60FPS mode in place. Get out of F-Zero GX Online's blast radius.

Yeah, I just got the email too. So that'll be my sister's Switch 2 sorted at least. They even tell you that payments start being taken over the next 1-3 days after Saturday; AND that they'll notify you in a seperate email if payment can't be taken for whatever reason. It's a traditional racing game in the same mould as F-Zero. Multiple cups with three difficulties. Four tracks per cup. Game is not quite as fast as F-Zero, but still plenty fast. The big gimmick that seperates the series from F-Zero is its Phase Switching mechanic, heavily inspired by Ikaruga. There are dash panels and magnetic rails and such that you have to switch between Black & White phases (Or, rather, Red & Blue ever since the previous game on Switch 1... huh huh, I see what they did there) to interact with; but your ability to switch is limited by the energy you have at your disposal (which is replenished by collecting the respective coloured icons on the track). This new game's big new mechanic is the ability to fuse cars together to combine their attributes/stats (hence the title). They're pretty good games. Certainly some of the better non-F-Zero futuristic racers out there; I certainly prefer it to the likes of Wipeout

I do feel bad for anyone who pre-ordered at GAME, but... Is anyone else still waiting for the My Nintendo Store to take their payment? Seriously wondering if I should shoot them an email/phone call to badger them to steal my money... Why is it so hard to give Nintendo money!?

That's nuts! Just goes to show how incredibly late they were. They had absolutely zero chance of success in Europe. The console war was already over before the damn thing even launched here. The likes of MGS2 and GTA 3 had already been released for around 6 months by the time the GCN launched over here. It was completely DOA, and 90% of the reason why was because it came out far too late.

I thought so too at first. I could see Zelda Notes in the app, but I quickly found out that it didn't actually update the app properly; as I couldn't access the new features. If you don't have the three little icons at the bottom of your app, you are not running the new version of the app. Delete the app and then reinstall to get them.

Considering how bad Switch 1 & 2 carts taste, you probably shouldn't do that

The new Nintendo Switch App (replacing Nintendo Switch Online) is out now. Yes, this is the new version of the app that lets you view your automatic photo & video uploads from Switch 2, making it actually useful for the first time in around 8 years. It looks like it doesn't update the existing app properly though (at least on iOS)... I had to delete the app and then reinstall it for it to update properly and replace the old app (probably because the app has a new name now). Most importantly though... You can finally look at your total game playtime within the app itself now! The true megaton feature! Edit: The Nintendo Parental Controls app also got an update (presumably adding Switch 2 compatiblity).
