  1. Legit impressed at the turnout of actual Kirby Amiibo outfits! Well done guys!
  2. No text required (Oh crud! I wrote some anyway!)
  3. Oh wow! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1534877882/digitiser-the-show-proper-retro-gaming-tv?ref=creator_nav I am SO up for this!
  4. Maybe something to do with Labo? Improving the performance of the IR camera's built-in software?
  5. Wow! How many different developers are now doing arcade re-releases on Switch!? Good to see more coming though! Hopefully the emulation is solid! BTW... http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/03/hamster_acquires_rights_to_complete_video_system_catalogue Hamster just announced that they have acquired the rights to Video System's entire arcade game catalogue and will be re-releasing them as part of the ACA series!
  6. Gosh! That’s a blast from the past! I remember V-Rally from back during the N64 and GBA eras! Talk about a random series to bring back on Switch!
  7. The 3DS version does look enormously impressive! I can hardly believe that it looks that good on the little thing! Just like Poochy & Yoshi’s Wooly World, it looks like total witchcraft!
  8. Not even folders, what a waste of time. I need folders dammit!
  9. It was actually someone from the ESRB who leaked that picture! Considering the state that the ESRB is in at the moment with the whole loot box fiasco though, I hope they all get fired along with that guy!
  10. https://nintendoeverything.com/shantae-the-pirates-curse-coming-to-switch-out-next-week/ Not a huge surprise (it was inevitable), but I'm glad to see the best Shantae game come to Switch! Hopefully we'll also see Risky's Revenge join it soon.
  11. My head hurts just from reading that! I don't blame you for wanting something simpler! The above is pretty much everything I don't like about traditional fighting games. Gimme something like SoulCalibur or Pokken over that any day! Shame, because the sprite work is just amazing!
  12. This is just inspired! I love the idea @RedShell! And they have all the alternative versions from the four Rhythm Paradise games to pick for his movesets and costumes too! Of course... they'd have to have it so that if you attack in time to the stage's music, he does extra damage
  13. Yup. And my second cousin's, brother's former roommate too.
  14. I'm just gonna go ahead and lazily copy/paste my post from Reset Era (@Glen-i totally nicked the idea from me BTW ) Bare in mind that I'm only picking characters (and a quantity of characters) that I feel are realistic options, so this is actually what I feel could happen, not necessarily just a wishlist of hopes and dreams. There will probably be more new stages than this (and certainly more returning ones from past Smash games), but that's all I can be bothered with thinking about right now. The game will be marketed as Smash 5, but it'll actually be a glorified Smash 4 port (with all the content from Wii U and 3DS combined + new content). Basically another Splatoon 2/Advance Wars 2 situation.
  15. Oh, BTW, just because nobody seemed to cotton onto it after the Nintendo Direct was broadcast... ... those weren't just guesses of mine
  16. The gameplay depth looks insane! These new mechanics basically turn it into a fighting game! Looks to be pretty much everything I was hoping it would be! (though it does look like the Story Mode is more like a series of challenges and mini games, rather than an RPG mode - which is fine, even if it wasn't quite what I was hoping for).
  17. Pretty lame that it doesn't come with the DLC, considering how late the port is coming... It's still a great game mind you! Even if you're not a fan of the show, the gameplay is actually still well worth your time. Stick of Truth and Fractured But Whole are surprisingly good RPGs with some pretty great battle systems (ripped off from Paper Mario and Radiant Historia respectively). Easily some of the best licensed games ever made; and for fans of the show? They're pretty much the best thing you could ever hope for! They capture the look, feel and spirit of the show perfectly and are riotously funny! @BowserBasher Considering that they did include Stick of Truth for free with pre-orders for FBW on all other platforms, I'd be shocked if they don't do the same thing here...
  18. Cant say I’ve ever seen that on the bottom of my phone screen before! 10/10 Direct, would Direct again!
  19. Listen to the man Nintendo
  20. Oh wow! It has been upgraded to a full retail release!? Awesome! A localisation announcement around now would make perfect sense... And 3DS/Switch multiplatform releases seem to be a trend of this ND... Either way, I just hope that we get the same boxart! HOLY SHIT IT IS AMAZING! Also... no... it couldn't be... Smash? Here? No... (If that's the case... is there a chance for Dillon?)
  21. Good to see that they're re-balancing the game, because some enemies were just ridiculous damage sponges that were no fun to fight at all. I liked the premise of the 3DS original, but it ended up just feeling like a slog; so I ended up giving up on it. With Nicalis at the helm of this one (assuming that it ever comes out in Europe), we might actually end up getting a significantly improved game though! We'll see...
  22. What can I say? That box looks... well... Ace! (Also strongly reminds me of MK8dx, with its rainbow colours) Looking at those new screenshots... Do I see the return (ace) of Power Shots? (Look at the meter in the top left corner). I think I do! Hopefully the power shots being there is a sign that they've heavily re-worked the physics from Ultra Smash, which had some utterly ludicrous recovery shots you could do (lobs were literally completely useless in that game, since you could always catch up to the ball and return it before it bounced twice!). After all, Power Shots are there to serve (hah!) that purpose anyway! Looks fantastic! Can't wait to see the new footage and details in tonight's ND! (Praying that the story mode turns out to be the full fat RPG experience we've all been pining for!)
  23. Problem now is that physical games aren't even proper archives of retail releases anymore either, since almost all of them have post-release patches and DLC that add and fix things. Some games aren't even playable without these updates! Nintendo do have a tendency to include updates and patches on the disc/cart on later reprints of their games (Skyward Sword comes to mind), but they're not exactly consistent about it. Even physical games don't last forever though. And ultimately, they only live as long as the hardware that runs it does, even if the physical media outlasts it... No matter what happens, emulation (be it software or hardware based) is ultimately the only way to truly keep these games alive.
  24. Great to see the lower budget titles also hitting Switch at retail. Switch is the 3DS’ successor as well as Wii U and needs to be a healthy home for both big budget AND smaller budget titles at retail; so it’s important for smaller games to have a solid chance outside of the eShop too! Also Indieszero has never gone wrong; the game looks fun as hell! (And utterly ridiculous, especially the music, which is always a big bonus!) I’m definitely looking forward to it
  25. Well we already have two leaks from this ND now... Now a multi platform release. Also... June 22nd in Japan. I’m gonna go out on a limb and also say that we’re probably gonna see Captain Toad on both Switch and 3DS here too...
