@Hero-of-Time, @S.C.G A follow-up Q&A wih the chaps from M2 on the M2 ShotTriggers project and Battle Garegga!
-
That's literally exactly how I felt about it when I first played it. Hated it up until I got out of Midgar; ended up becoming my 3rd favourite FF game (behind FF4 and FF6).

N-Europe's Top 10 (Voting over, check first post for results)
Dcubed replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Right! Here's my 5 nominations! Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising Metroid Zero Mission Metroid Fusion Warioware Twisted Golden Sun: The Lost Age Even though the last one is only half a game, I still have to put it on the list. It's that good! If we could count Golden Sun part 1 & 2 together as one game; it would be an easy pick for No1. But split up? That makes things a lot harder... -
I'm going realistic with this one... 1: Erdrick for Smash: This one is a no brainer. Dragon Quest 11s will probably get a new trailer and a release date here, so this is the natural tie-in announcement. 2: SNES games come to Nintendo Switch Online: This was promised literally two years ago. It's overdue. 3: Collection of Mana: This was recently trademarked in Europe, so I reckon it'll be announced here. I for one am super excited about finally getting Seiken Densetsu 3 in English! 4: Pikmin 3 DX: A port of Pikmin 3 to Switch with extra content. 5: Banjo Kazooie returns to Nintendo: This could actually get revealed at the Microsoft conference instead of Nintendo's one; but I reckon we're gonna see the bear & bird return to Nintendo platforms! It's crazy to think that the last one is actually a realistic possiblity now, and not crazy fanboy nonsense!

Woah! Wasn't expecting Resident Evil Gaiden on this list! Nor was I expecting Stranded Kids to do so well (and Oracle of Seasons so poorly!) Always appreciate a list that goes against the grain. Good job guys! -
I'd be willing to bet money on it. I'd imagine that pre-loading would start right after the E3 Direct.
-
Yeah, I tried it on Pilotwings just after you mentioned it. I want a new one so bad now! Another pro tip, try playing the F-Zero GX stage while looking backwards; away from the characters fighting. It'll make you want a proper F-Zero VR game something fierce! BTW, all of your stages are bloody amazing! Do you own a capacitive stylus? How on earth do you manage to draw so well!?
-
I know I'm a bit late on this one, but OH MY GOD! @RedShell's Infinity Stage is amazing! It's bloody hilarious I need to find some time to make some more stages of my own. BTW, how the hell do you manage to draw so well in Stage Builder @RedShell!? Do you have a good capacitive stylus? Care to suggest one! (Though I'm getting the Mario Maker one, so hopefully that'll be pretty decent!)
-
Hylia! It looks SO GOOD! The spritework is amazing too! Man. I’d love a new 2D Zelda game with these sprites!
-
VR mode is really cool! It’s like having a built-in Boundary Break mode! You can see how all the stages work!
-
Consider me very interested! If it ends up becoming even half as good as the console version, this sub will be a no brainer!
-
Bloody hell! It’s actually releasing on PS4!? And it’s coming out THIS YEAR!?!? Honest to goodness shocked! They pumped this game out really fast! Was absolutely expecting it to be a PS5 launch window title!
-
Isn’t that basically Tokyo Jungle? I’d be down for a Pokemon version!
-
Nintendo’s QoL Sleep Sensor lives!! Iwata gets the last laugh after all! Pokemon Home is basically the next version of Pokemon Bank. It expands support to encompass Go, Let’s Go and Sword/Shield (only Sword/Shield can do two-way transfers though; presumably to block all of those hacked ‘mon that you just mentioned).
-
Pretty cheeky of them to pad out the list by having the regional variants counted as separate games... Still, at least NES Contra 1 is finally getting a re-release. It’s insane to think that (outside of its inclusion in Contra 4; where it didn’t play ideally on the DS), we have never had a re-release of NES Contra 1 until now! Really hope that they’re planning follow-up collections after the first three. There’s so many games left in these series (and in Konami’s vault in general) that desperately need re-releases!
-
Come on Mystery Dungeon! We’re due. It’s time!

Bloody hell, this is gonna be hard! Gonna have to give this one a think and come back... ... nice to see some good variety with people’s choices! Nice to see more darkhorse titles like THPS2 and It’s Mr Pants getting some love too Still upset that I can’t choose Golden Sun part 1&2 as one title... Really don’t want to use up two votes on what is ostensibly a single game... The Mario Bros arcade game remake. It was included in every Super Mario Advance release, as well as Superstar Saga (they’re also cross-game compatible for multiplayer too BTW!). -
Sunshine Coast was taken from Transformed (albeit stripped of its flying and boating mechanics of course). Don’t know if any others were (I don’t have STR).
-
Seems like all 3 ports are a bit of a disaster... Capcom gave absolutely zero fucks when doing these ports.
-
Yeah, I completely agree with you @Hero-of-Time. There’s no way that Nintendo can match the quantity of their 3DS output; that’s totally impossible. Especially for the teams like Alphadream, who haven’t a hope in hell of putting out a HD game on their own. That being said, the improved 3rd party support not only really helps to plug in the gaps; but it also really opens up doors for collaboration titles that simply weren’t viable on 3DS or Wii U. Games like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3 simply wouldn’t have happened before, and they represent a big opportunity to help fill in the release gaps that HD development brings to the table. Not to mention indie collaborations like Cadence of Hyrule! That’s perhaps an even bigger deal! It absolutely blows the doors wide open for those smaller titles that we used to see and love on 3DS/DS/Wii! The prospect of Yacht Club Games or the Sonic Mania devs working on Nintendo’s IP excites me to no end! The possibilities are huge! So it’s not so cut and dry yet. We’re still only in the early days of the Switch’s lifecycle; there’s still scope for it to build a great library of its own. And the next 6 months are exactly what I’ve been hoping to see happen! The lineup for the second half of this year has me incredibly excited! Now I just hope they can keep up the pace!

The best game indeed won! Good job! You all picked the right game as No1! BTW, @S.C.G, random ? Was the Paper Mario picture meant to be a very sly reference to this bizzare glitch? -
Mega Drive Mini (19th September 2019)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
No. SEGA have 10 more games to reveal for each region on June 4th. Then we’ll know the full list -
Yeah, I have high hopes for June and onwards. Feels like the Switch is finally hitting its stride; much like how the 3DS did at the start of 2013 3DS too got off to a slow start, but it’s library ended up being amazing. Let’s hope that it’s time for the Switch to follow in its footsteps now!
-
Looks like complete shite. A total waste of Nintendo’s development resources.

Holy Jesus! Suikoden 4 was released on PS3!? IN 2017!?!?!? GRANDIA 3 IS AVAILABLE ON THERE TOO!! How did I not know this!? I need to buy some US and JPN PS3 cards! Why on earth were they released only on PS3 and not PS4 anyway? Even more reason why my PS3 will forever stay in my setup, while my PS4 gets shafted!
