The PS2 Phantasy Star Collection is actually available on the JPN PS3 PSN store; you can access the JPN store on any region PS3! There's quite a few SEGA AGES releases available on there. Here's a list... I never realised that there were so many PS2 games released for the PS3 store! There's actually almost 6x as many as what got released on PS4! It even has Contra Shattered Soldier, Neo Contra and Gradius 5! The latter actually got released in 2015!! Two years after the PS4 had been released!

Yup, I'm nicking that phrase fo sho.

Glad to hear that the impressions here tend to be positive. Might be worth a pick-up at some point, even if it isn't as good as Transformed.

Hi there. Most Nintendo first party titles hold onto their value very well; often still selling at their original RRP, or even higher. As for DS games in particular? One thing to note is that the market is absolutely littered with bootlegs, meaning that potential buyers on eBay will want to see lots of images that clearly shows that your copies are legitimate (showing the front and back of the cart, clearly showing the contacts of the PCB, is usually a good idea - Here is a good guide to follow in spotting fakes and what you might want to show in a listing). It also means that legitimate copies of DS games are generally worth a lot, as they are rare on eBay now (almost all listings now are bootlegs). With eBay, they do generally favour the buyer, so there is a bit of risk involved, but if you generally stick with UK buyers, you should be ok. You're much more likely to encounter scammers if you allow for international shipping, but you should be alright if you stick with UK buyers; or only sell to international buyers who have good feedback and only allow payment via Paypal (never listen to requests to finish auctions early and sell outside of the eBay/Paypal system - they are always trying to scam you). Another good tip? Always use Signed For shipping, be it domestic or international; don't be tempted to use cheaper shipping where you can't track and guarantee that the buyer has recieved the item. I personally wouldn't sell my games, because I generally always go back and play them again eventually, but with games that have been re-released on later platforms? I don't see much of a point in holding onto doubles, where there isn't really any advantage in doing so. I'd only keep one physical version of a game, unless there were significant differences that warrented doing so. I'm not really a collector though, I just keep the games that I really like and cherish. Like a good book or movie, I'll always go back to them eventually Also... ... it was indeed released in Europe. It was just very heavily delayed, coming out a whole year after the US release. As such, a lot of people just imported the game; so you'll probably find a lot of US copies floating around EU/UK auction sites as a result.

Let's hope that the options are better in this game than in the last two. The male trainer options have always been utterly woeful!

Mega Drive Mini (19th September 2019)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
You were always going to get some of the usual suspects, like Sonic and Streets of Rage 2, but the last batch of US/EU titles are indeed quite disappointing in that regard. We really didn't need Vectorman and Sonic Spinball... Hopefully the last batch will be more focused on the rare and more niche titles. I reckon Cotton and Panorama Cotton have a decent chance, given that they just announced the remake of the first game for Switch. That would be a great addition! (it's also super rare!). Crusaders of Centy would also be a fab inclusion! Overall though, the lineup is pretty great on all systems, but yeah... The Asian list is just plain better than the US/EU one so far. -
I'd like a rotatable display, but I can't justify the price, nor space required. Having handheld mode for tate games is a godsend on Switch though! It's so fantastic that you can do it so easily and effortlessly! On that matter... https://japanesenintendo.com/2019/05/20/esp-ra-de-announced-for-switch/ M2's ShotTriggers series is now coming to Switch!! Starting with ESP RA.DE! Digital, physical and deluxe versions have been announced!

Mega Drive Mini (19th September 2019)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
It's actually NOT in the JPN version! It's currently exclusive to the Asian region version! Cheekily stolen from Reset Era... This could still change with the last unveil to come, but yeah... Alien Soldier is currently exclusive to the Asian region version. In fact, for my money, they seem to have the best lineup of the lot! The Asian version is actually available for pre-order on Play-Asia... So I'm waiting until the last set of games get unveiled; but at the moment, I'm leaning towards the Asian version. -
Mega Drive Mini (19th September 2019)

Have to admit that I'm disappointed in the US/EU replacements for the JPN games. Sonic Spinball is hot garbage and Vectorman is really quite mediocre. SF2 and GN'G are also wasted slots, as the arcade versions are so much better and are readily available elsewhere (well, GN'G is actually not easy to come by anymore; but the arcade versions have been re-released at least a few times!) Wonderboy in Monster World is really the saving grace of the western replacements, but that's not enough to make up for the games that have been lost so far... Wily Wars is a great addition though; being the first time that the US version has ever been released outside of the SEGA Channel! I have to admit, I'm eying up the Asian version as the best version right now. It's just the right combo of the US and JPN lineups, plus they get Alien Solider as an exclusive!! I NEED Alien Soldier! And unless that is one of the remaining titles to be announced elsewhere, that makes it pretty much untouchable! Asian MD Mini list below... Unless we get some surprise announcements for the west with the last batch, I think I might actually just go for this one. Looks like the best overall lineup (and all versions of the MD Mini include all regional variants of every game anyway). -
It's out!!! Paging @Hero-of-Time and @S.C.G!

N-Europe's Top 10 (Voting over, check first post for results)
Dcubed replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
When you consider that only around 130 of those are actually GBC exclusive; that’s even more interesting! I suspect that the hybrid games would’ve dominated the original GB list if they were included there as well (and it would probably have been almost entirely GBC dominated if the GB/GBC libraries were combined as part of the vote I reckon). Shows that people have a real affinity for these games being voted this time around! -

Sadly it didn’t, it was US only (which is super weird when you consider that it was a British game developer that made it!). It is also one of only a handful of English language first party GB/GBC titles that didn’t get a 3DS VC release (the others being Waverace, Tetris DX and Pokemon Pinball off the top of my head). Really gutting. I’ve always wanted to play it; it actually looks really good! -
Fingers crossed they do!

https://www.resetera.com/threads/final-fantasy-vii-patched-on-switch-to-remove-music-bug.117472/ Wow! S-E actually bothered to fix the music loop and transition animation bugs in FF7 on Switch! They never bothered to fix the PS4 or PC versions (they’ve had this bug ever since they first released in 2015); so the Switch version is now the best version of the game!

Only two Switch games are £59.99 RRP (Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Smash Bros Ultimate). The rest are either the standard full price of £49.99 or are budget priced titles (usually £39.99). So the average saving would be £18; which is still pretty good!
-
I hope that there’s a way to play your own levels (and the levels you’ve downloaded) in multiplayer. So far, the multiplayer that has been shown only allows you to play random online levels... Would be a bit of a bummer if there was no way to play your own levels in multiplayer...

The new NSO Vouchers offer is nice. I'm defintely gonna be taking advantage of that

Online and local multiplayer is huge, but I reckon that the Course Conditions options are perhaps an even bigger addition! That changes so much about what you can do with levels! And blows the doors off in terms of what you can do with puzzle style levels! The Stop Scrolling option is also basically made for me! They saw how much I was trying to stretch the original game to make self-contained rooms and said, "screw it! Let's just let him have what he wants" While it looks like a glorified expansion pack, it does look like one hell of an expansion pack at least! The fact that the Super Mario 3D World mode can't be mixed with the original 4, does actually open up the game to more possiblities. The different game types no longer all need to match each other in terms of mechanics; so having Super Mario Bros 2/USA as a future option is indeed possible now! (And they are very blatantly planning additional game styles in the future, with that really obvious blank space on the menu... just waiting to be filled...) Yup. This is gonna be awesome!

What!? You didn’t like my evil 1up level in the first SMM!? I loved the sound effects! I hope we get more of them; they were hilarious when done right!
-
I don’t think they’ve actually said the other versions are 60FPS... Supposedly the PS4 Pro version that was shown before was running at 30FPS; plus all of the previous non-PC versions of the Sonic/SEGA All Stars Racing Games were 30FPS.

So I finally saw it... it’s not bad! Not amazing, but not bad at all. Definitely watchable. It was much less of a comedy than I was expecting though. More of an action flick than anything else really (and not much of a detective film either). Not bad, but not what I was expecting. The story only really follows the original game loosely, but it’s REALLY contrived here; with lots of deus ex machine events oh so conveniently happening at the right time. Ryan Reynolds is fab though, and plays the role superbly. Also they did a great job with the world building; I actually didn’t find myself bothered by the realistic look and loved all of the establishing shots (though they didn’t do a good job of hiding the fact that Ryme City is very blatantly London ). Also loved the great and varied representation of all generations of Pokemon; you can absolutely tell that the staff who worked on this movie absolutely love the series (and aren’t a bunch of genwunners. These guys did their homework!) Overall it’s a decent movie. Not mindblowingly amazing, but kids would definitely enjoy it; and Pokemon fans are sure to get a kick out of it.

Speaking of positive... GoNintendo posted the first footage of the Switch version (Handheld mode) Looks good! Very close to the PS4/Xbone versions! After seeing the recent glut of embarrassing and terrible Switch ports throughout the last few months; this is refreshing to see

Only a short one, but a welcome one nonetheless! Gimme a Super Mario Land skin already!

This is just depressing to watch. Truly tragic. At least we'll always have the originals.

Jesus! His new voices are a fucking riot! You honestly couldn't make up half the shit that Randy has gotten away with!
