Forget that! Get into contact with customer service explaining the situation, you were only trying to do a good deed, there's no way you should have to pay that... besides they will surely be able to check your account to see that you haven't used it since, you definitely shouldn't have to pay that. Why on earth does it cost £400 a year to have a premium LinkedIn account anyway?

Wow, 40% off Capitan Todd? Sign me up!

On my way, switching my Wii U on now and changing discs, back in your box Star Fox!

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
S.C.G replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Wow, those are some crazy numbers... if that's accurate then those are some impressive sales for Sony. I wonder how much the eShop made in comparison... Also though, it does say "The whole of PSN" so how many of those were PSN subscriptions in order to enjoy the online and plus titles? Yet even with that it's still impressive, mostly well deserved as well, PSN is pretty decent - when it stays online - and the store in particular is nicely put together. : peace: Not that Nintendo's is terrible, far from it but they do have some catching up to do in that department. -
I don't regret paying £24 for it, at £16 though people are definitely better off getting the physical copy as that's cheaper than digital now surely? Or not much in it anyway... :p I have played this, it's good but I always end up playing it late at night, so usually just tackle a few challenges before turning the PS4 off, but I never move onto the next challenge until I get the golds.
-
GameCube X2... At launch the GC was £130 so £260 sounds about right to me. Cheaper than the Wii U but around about the same price - perhaps a little more - than current machines on the market. This is of course for a home console... for a portable? £195 of course! (GameCube and a half) :p Those are my predictions, let's lock 'em in! : peace:

Very nice selection I don't have any of those titles, I'm also happy Watch Dogs was fake but that's mainly because I have zero desire to play it... which will likely never change, even if it ever does become free.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore (16th Jan)
S.C.G replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Cheers for the mention, I just happened to be checking my inbox at the right time, so nabbed it then came straight here to spread the word just in case. The e-mails were sent out five minutes ago so hopefully there will be plenty of time for people to pre-order this one. -
N-Europe Presents VC Weekly #374 @Glen\-i you know you want to. (Plus I'd love to hear your feedback as you're well-aquainted with the series) For what it's worth, I can see myself wanting to play more of the games in the future. Check inside for the verdicts.[/size][/b] Enjoy! : peace:

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore (16th Jan)
S.C.G replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I doubt Atlus will censor Persona 5 in the same way. This has more to do with the game being on a Nintendo platform and it being associated with an established Nintendo franchise which as we know has recently had its latest entry censored but for good reasons in that case. In this case, it's maybe a bit over the top but then there must be reasons, if this is how it has to be to secure a certain age rating then I guess that's how it has to be, possibly Nintendo passed the buck because they didn't want to deal with the fallout which will likely come from this, who knows? I'm confident Persona 5 will be safe though due to it releasing on the Playstation platform, if not then we really have reached a new age of censorship in videogames in addition to other media and in our daily lives as well... in which case things will only get worse. Either way, I'll still be buying both games. : peace: -
I can't say I have personally but I've always got the impression that they may well be reasonable titles in some cases, just about worth those sales prices but not worth investigating once they go back to full price, the discounts might as well be permanent for them... there's so much on the eShops as it is.
-
What is actually included for purchasing software in order to get gold points? I had around 40 gold points at the start yet I've bought a reasonable amount of things from both eShops... is it only retail titles? I thought it was everything and then you'd get awarded the points at the end of each month, perhaps I'm due a load in a weeks time. Also, I'm at 990 Platinum points... When it states you get 10 points for visiting Nintendo.co.uk is that the coin that you find next to your Mii at the start of each week or is that for something else? I'm sure I've done all the weekly missions I can - excluding Miitomo because I can't get it - but it's so annoying to be just 10 points away, bring back some of those god awful surveys which we can fill out from a PC Nintendo, normally I wouldn't asl for them but come on... I've got to wait another week in order to get Twilight Princess Picross now.
-
Wow, and all for a bargain price of two to three times the RRP! I think it would be better to wait, pay a much more reasonable £40 and not run the risk of getting banned for playing it two weeks early. Still though, how does this happen? If word gets out from the shop(s) which broke the street date, those places could be shut down, they probably won't be... but it's possible.

While it may be true that we put in a lot of work to this site, which is part of what makes it such an excellent place, don't undersell the amount of work you do for this place. Also recently your What Happens NX? articles have been thoroughly absorbing reads, just saying. I feel a similar way a lot of the time, I just don't seem to talk about it as much, I possibly/probably should but meh... anyway I'm just trying to say that you're not alone. Today I went back to work after having a week off and it was "fine" as in, I seem to be good at the retail stuff even though it's not what I really want to do, writing for N-E falls into the category of something I enjoy doing for the love of it; as for what I'd want to do as a career? I'd always liked the idea of graphic design or even game design but I don't ever seem to feel good or accomplished enough for that... ...it's not easy is it? Sometimes I think about going in for another part-time job just to make some more money but then just thinking about doing two jobs that I never really intend to do for the love of it doesn't really appeal. It would be amazing to do something part-time, fun and that has a decent wage attached to it. (N-E is still fun, I don't mind that it's not paid, that's part of what makes the site great I feel) Perhaps it would be an idea to start an indie game studio made up of the N-E community, I'd be interested in that as I'm sure lots of others would be. I'm probably not that good at helping with advice but... I don't know, I just feel like sometimes there's got to be a better way, perhaps it's all pipe-dream stuff but it's a nice thought perhaps? I tried...

That should be fine for me, it was mainly the Friday which would have been the issue as I would still be travelling home at 10PM on that day. :p Saturday though? I usually get a lift home so that should be fine. Sunday I'm home all day, no worries there! Monday is a Bank Holiday so... I'm home earlier, so that'll be perfect.

£14.39 for buying it early AND I get a free theme? Sold! Take my money Housemarque/Sony this is how you do it! Downloading now, ready to play in just a couple of hours... (the unlock part not the downloading, that'll be done in five minutes) I think I'm going to enjoy playing my PS4 more this year. As for the game, it looks amazing, a bit like Cannon Spike on the Dreamcast, except less Capcom characters more trademark Housemarque, more projectile based, bigger, up to four players, online and about a tenth of the price... oh plus it's shinier... I have a feeling I'm really going to like this game.

NIS America to no longer publish Atlus games in Europe
S.C.G replied to Dcubed's topic in General Gaming Discussion
SEGA does what NIS... Don't any more? :p Let's hope! : peace: -
Hmm... how much is it? If it's £15 or less... I have about that in my Playstation Wallet I believe, very tempting.

Oh sweet! Super Punch Out!! is this weeks New 3DS Virtual Console game! That's one title I can definitely see myself dipping in and out of on a portable machine. : peace:

The first time I loaded up Flipnote 3D I got sidetracked by the fact that I couldn't import my old Flipnotes, but it doesn't matter as I've come to the conclusion that I only ever made a handful and only one of them was any good so it's no big deal. :P I'll try and make more of an effort on Flipnote 3D though, when I have the time.

Let's just say that Star Fox Zero certainly plays to the strengths of the Gamepad but it would certainly be possible to rework the majority of the game to work with the pro controller only even if it meant that it would no longer be quite as immersive overall. It's a trade-off whichever way you look at it. Star Fox Zero isn't perfect with the gamepad but it certainly benefits from being designed around it. : peace: Overall I've definitely enjoyed my initial run through of the game and will definitely be back for more, just not right away... it's not as if I don't want to either, I certainly do want to get stuck back into it, alas there are other games to play though; I'm certainly more than grateful for Star Fox Zero though and I feel that Nintendo & Platinum have done a sterling job on it all things considered.

Ouch... :/ I hear you on the PS3 death issue, The Last of Us nearly killed my original NTSC PS3 - fans were whirring really loudly at most points in the game near the end - which is when I decided to buy a Slim PS3 still brand new boxed off eBay... it lasted about a year and a half I think, it failed during the end of my original inFamous playthrough when I was trying to play through the whole series before inFamous Second Son came out, I still managed it even though I had to start again with inFamous... but yes it was so annoying as I had to redownload everything being that I had previously transferred everything over via ethernet from my old PS3 to my Slim which just failed to power on and that was it. Since my PS3 Super Slim I have had no issues though thankfully, really glad I got it, even though it's not the most elegant looking PS3 I do like the top-loading disc drive as historically everything I've had with a top-loading disc drive still works to this day :P - Mega-CD, Multimega, Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2 slim - but yes, very tempremental machines PS3 units. I hope you're back up and running soon, those digital deals are good but not when stuff like this happens.
-
I'll buy it when it comes out on PS4 it looks well-suited to the platform. I'm guessing it will be around £10 - £15 on release? Surely worth that by the look of it. I've been interested since Bard described it as a cross between A Link to the Past and Diablo... coupled with the artwork, that's all I needed to know. : peace:
