Honestly? There is enough offline content alone to justify purchasing it at launch but it will get so much better over the next few months with all the planned free updates. Sixteen characters to start with might not seem that substantial when you compare it with the roster of SFIV but additional fighters will be added, additionally the story mode for each of the sixteen characters is three fights with a hand-drawn narrated scene between each; all of these can be beaten in around 10 minutes or less including the scenes, there will be more of a proper story mode released later on down the line but it gives you enough of a background for each currently available character at the very least plus it gives you a chance to learn about the moves and the fighting system. All of the gameplay seemed spot-on to me from around the three hours or so I put into it, also the new fightpad made for the game by Mad Catz is fantastic, I used to have one for the Xbox 360 but this Playstation version is really good and as a bonus you can use it for both PS4 AND PS3 as well! : peace:

No idea, I didn't realise they were going to reset everything or that it was even such a big issue, I mean if I get a new game in the post early, I'm going to play it. I only played the story mode though, that's offline so... surely not affected? And if it is... well, I've got the trophies for it so you can't take those from me Capcom! :awesome: That post said that it was all to be reverted "within the next few hours" so I take it the reset has already happened? I might check later just to see what's there, if anything but thanks for the heads-up!

Why don't we keep it for old times sake? The site is still up afterall so old videos can still be linked to. Was a date even given for the entire Game Trailers site going offline? If it's a while then there's still time to re-watch some classic videos on there at least.

I received my copy early in the post along with my shiny new fightpad, so I played through all sixteen characters which were available to me for use in Story mode. There were no issues for me, though this was on Saturday night though, now that I know there are server issues following its actual release date I may give it a break until it's confirmed that servers are stable again. Probably jusyt as well, I stayed up until gone 5am playing it on the first night! Such an addictive fighter.

Yes Guy, why you no buy Pokken? If Nintendo goes under because you didn't buy your copy of the game, we'll come looking for you*. *Disclaimer - I'm sure it won't come to that and we wouldn't really even if that were the case, well... N-E wouldn't, Serebii might though... possibly, maybe? Probably not. :p In that case, I completely retract the above statement. Enjoy it when you get around to purchasing!

Nice, it's good to see there's that extra bit of personality to the game afforded by avatars. Gives it a bit more of a Pokémon Stadium feel to it even though this is clearly on a different level entirely. : peace:

Sega Dreamcast AND Saturn themes this week! I don't usually get excited about themes but these two additions have made my day.
-
It's even more amusing when you play the sound effect below from the start of the gif. Audio You're welcome! : peace:

OK, sounds good. Updating, 2 mins... then will have to listen to Callie and Marie babble on about every single weapon I've missed *sigh* another 2 mins or so... be online in 5 mins hopefully? :p Stay Freeeeeesssh!

Well, I'm going to turn my Wii U on now, so I can vote on Splatoon while I remember, then I'll be playing some VC games for a bit but while I'm on Splatoon, I could play a few quick games seeing as I've been away from it for a while.
-
Ah I forgot about the Splatfest... again. :/ Didn't vote so that means I can't play, was thinking about it as I hadn't played Splatoon in ages and this one seemed like a good cause to play for. Oh well, I hope everyone has fun anyway, got other stuff to be getting on with I suppose. : peace: Hmm wait, actually is it not actually on until next weekend?

Green version, because Venusaur. But failing that, Blue.

That's an amazing reveal video for those Pokémon costumes, love it!

Yes please, if you could spare just one of those codes that would be lovely thank you. @Hero\-of\-Time very kindly got me a code so I'm OK for mine, but my brother who's coming back home this week would love one I'm sure. As for the other code, do you know anyone else who wants one? If not another forum member might appreciate the other code... Did you end up getting a code for @Ugh first aid in the end? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Either way, thanks Nintendo Fan I appreciate it.

I was just going to suggest buying an Xbox One controller but then I looked at your price range... Xbox 360 controller for Windows? :p Alternatively... http://www.techradar.com/how-to/gaming/how-to-use-the-ps4-dualshock-4-controller-on-a-pc-1309014 Use your DS4 controller on your PC. Enjoy! : peace:

In this advanced age I think Nintendo are wise to keep their cards close to their chest, even away from their investors, I know that's where a lot of their money comes from but really... a little bit of patience goes a long way. Nintendo obviously have a plan, let's just see where they go with it, nobody was expecting NX details to be divulged at this Q&A - fans or investors alike - so it's hardly a surprise. I still think there is a chance that we will see the NX in some capacity in 2016 but I don't expect to hear anything concrete until E3 week at the earliest. This has been a difficult transitional period for the company and it's certainly going to be an interesting year one way or another, I just hope things pan out as planned because Nintendo surely has a lot more to share with us; when the time is right. : peace:
-
Cheers for that, just redeemed the code. : peace:
-
Thank you H-o-T I appreciate it, if you were only able to get the one though don't you want it? I still want the code, yes please but only if you weren't intending in getting one for yourself as I wouldn't want to feel like I'd taken your chance to own Mew from you. Otherwise though I'll gratefully receive it.
-
Well this is terrible news. No more episodes of The Final Bosman. I'm genuinely gutted about this.
-
I'm really hoping that this gets delayed for as long as possible within reason, I would rather wait until June or later if necessary in order to get a decent title in the series rather than wait a month or so and get something sub-par... I'd even be OK with waiting until the end of 2016 for it personally.
-
Really? The last time I went into game to get a Pokémon download code they just aked me how many I wanted. I was going to ask, if anyone's in Game and feels like getting a couple of codes for me and my bro then I'd be most grateful - we have a Game store but it's a 40 minute bus ride away in a town I don't tend to go to much any more - if not then no worries but I thought I'd ask just in case anyone is going in there anyway. The event runs until the end of the month doesn't it? There's a chance I might go in there before February 28th but it's unlikely to be a special trip, even if it is Mew... but then it is Mew, the Pokémon which I would have once travelled a reasonable distance to receive in the days of Red & Blue when the distirbution machine was an actual SNES was it not? And you had to physically connect a cartridge to it in order to get that elusive 151st creature, I used to love the concept of it. Nowadays it just sounds like such a cold process, here's your piece of paper and off you go! Back out into the harsh world. :p

I'd like to wish an Adventure Time themed... Happy Birthday ...to our very own @Ashley! Thank you for all the excellent work you've put into N-Europe over the years, the place wouldn't be this amazing without you. It should be an extra special exciting year for you as well what with you leaving your job recently, I hope the last year of your Twenties exceeds your expectations. Hopefully it's going to be a year of exceeding expectations for N-Europe as well so here's to the future! Anyway I hope you're having a really great day, Best Wishes from myself and N-E as always. : peace:

It's not your fault that the e-mail is presumably crap - it sounds awful from your description - you're just trying to let everyone know about the new database software, as for the angry alumni e-mails... ignore them, you were just trying to get the job done; if they deem themselves to be too self-important that a total of three e-mails from the same place within the workplace counts as spam then that's their problem not yours. They can hardly discipline you for it, if necessary just take the main complainer out of the e-mail loop... *permanently, that'll teach him! : peace: *Disclaimer - this may or may not be good advice, I don't know what it's like to work in your place but to me it sounds like you're being harassed for doing your job which sounds daft to me, just trying to help, keep up the good work and don't let them get you down!
