  1. If I had to guess, I would have to say that the new mini-game is a mash-up of The Mysterious Murasame Castle due to the ninja outfit and throwing star plus Super Mario Bros. arcade game due to the little crab on the cover. Calling it now. : peace:
  2. Did I hear someone mention the Sega Saturn and the Dreamcast? Now we're talking! :awesome: Oh! and one of my favourite games and series of all time... Panzer Dragoon Saga is an amazing game in terms of being a unique RPG experience and in many ways the definitive game in the series as well, not only that though but due to it's rarity it is still one of those games with fabled status as it were, there's only 10,000 European copies ever made after all - I believe - probably even less in existence now, especially in complete condition... plus Team Andromeda are no more and the source code being lost, it's truly something to be treasured indeed. Regarding the current value of Panzer Dragoon Saga though, £200 is about its current value with some room for negotiation either side depending on condition, I did sell my original copy to which I bought everything including all four discs, manual and both boxes in worn but reasonable condition for £4 sometime in 2001 or so when I was in college and even then it was worth around a hundred or so, it would have seemed tempting to sell it then but I'm glad I kept it as I ended up buying the outer sleeve with a tear in it for under £20 which was a good price in itself. I sold it last year for £185 along with Zelda's Adventure for the Phillip's CDi for £199... I'll only mourn the loss of one of those games. As I said at the time in the N64 Appreciation thread though, the money was ploughed straight into my collection so it was worth it, plus I only did this because I managed to assemble a second Panzer Dragoon Saga for the equivelant of around less than £75 as I bought the discs only in fantastic condition as part of a Sega Saturn collection a couple of years ago which had a load of other games in it, a boxed Saturn... all for around £80 so I take it that PDS was £25 of that on average - plus I recently sold some of the double games from that lot - and I managed to get a complete set of both boxes, manual and sleeve in perfect conditon around a year or so ago for £50... I've been very lucky. : peace: If you are looking for quality reproduction Saturn boxes check out Fitz Farseer on eBay as his products are second to none, high quality scans of the original boxes, text completely redone... it has to be seen to be believed. It's shocking to think just how much these games have increased in value within a relatively short space of time, I can remember the days when I purchased NiGHTS into Dreams for £10, Burning Rangers for under £30, Deep Fear for £20 - I did have the chance to purchase it for £4 as well at the same time as PDS but I only had £5 on me at the time... I think I made the right choice all those years ago - and even Shining Force III for £20! I am planning on playing my Dreamcast more and my Saturn too as recently I've been perfecting my Sega collection, I'm in the process of re-housing a lot of my DC games in new cases, box protectors and I've even made some dedicated perspex shelving for them; bought some brand new VMU's as well, nice coloured ones in Charcoal, Green and of course Blue. Something needs to be done about my console setup though, I need to find a way of permenantly setting up my Dreamcast and Saturn if I'm ever to play them properly again, yet I have limited space for consoles now, I currently have ten playable home consoles right now, 11 if we are counting slim and non-slim PS2 being that one is multi-region, then there's the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360/One, Sega Multimega 32X - which is technically three consoles in one - N64, Gamecube, Wii U, Wii annnnnd a Retron 5... Yes, I have problems. Orrr just a lot of consoles and probably not enough time to play them all. Meh... anyway, it will all be worth it when I'm done, also just out of interest, do you all remember me posting my N64 and SNES collection last year? If I take pictures of my Sega Shelf with all my Sega Megadrive, 32X, MegaCD, Saturn and Dreamcast games plus some of my Sega collectables and post it in say... the Sega Appreciation thread would anyone be interested? I'm genuinely asking as it's something I'd like to do. Perhaps we should have a new thread with it, then anyone else can share their collections as well, is this a better idea or just chuck it in the Sega thread? I thought I'd ask anyway... @Dcubed thought you'd like a mention seeing as there's talk of Sega and Panzer Dragoon Saga going on here.
  3. An interesting look at the evolution of game controllers and the change of use applied to the "X" button. Fun bonus bit at the end too.
  4. @Glen\-i takes on the role of Phantom G in... Game Thief & the Reviewer's Technology Rated "TT" for Temporary Thievery :p
  5. If I can download Miitomo for use on a reasonable tablet device then I'll give it a try, not buying a smartphone for it though.
  6. Who is this "Oscar" we speak of? What is film? ----------- But seriously, I completely understand as I also don't tend to watch many modern films at all these days due to the deluge of dirge which gets released these days. Even when I do want to see a new film, which doesn't happen that often, I will rarely go to the cinema to see it due to the price and the annoyance of this inconsiderate age we live in making it nigh on impossible to enjoy a film without a stupid amount of interruptions let alone just one or two which personally I deem inacceptable unless there's a really good reason for it. Of course, by all means we should give the decent films and everyone involved in them their dues, I can appreciate that certain films might be considered as being an amazing achievement but at the same time are just not for me; more and more though I think it's rare to see anyone get an award for films these days and to think that they actually genuinely deserved it. I'm more than happy to catch up with past greats which are easily available to buy though for enjoyment at home, indeed I'm keen to watch films from the start of their history, all the way through to present day if they are interesting and if they haven't already been spoiled for me - another dislike of this modern age - as when you watch then in the comfort of your own home I find that you tend to connect with that film more, the cinema to me just feels so cold and disconnected due to the amount of distractions which shouldn't be there and sub-par screen setting up at best. The awards are incredibly commercial these days, as is everything to a point but it's nice when we get that rare moment when someone actually gets an award and genuinely deserves it, especially if they show genuine gratitude for it due to being in the business for the love of the art and not just for the money, making it just another job... So in short, I'll catch the highlights the following day after catching up with some classic films as I wait for the few titles I want to see to come out in readable disc format.
  7. N-Europe Presents VC Weekly #368 Super Mario RPG Super Mario 64 DS Super Mario RPG makes its triumphant return to the Virtual Console, as does VC Weekly following the server switch! Super Mario 64 DS makes its debut but is it considered to be an improvement over the original or just too much of a technical trade-off? Check inside for the verdicts. Enjoy!. : peace:
  8. Wow... they stated "All Platforms" and they really meant it! :p
  9. You finally got a full time job at SEGA? That must have taken you AGES! Sorrynotsorry Seriously though' date=' well done Will. You've achieved something I can probably only dream of. : peace: Even though obviously I love writing for the best independent Nintendo news site in the world in my spare time - which is something I don't want to change - to work for one of the companies who created some of my favourite games in existence on a full time basis AND get paid for it? It must be an amazing feeling. Psst... don't forget to give us an exclusive on what the new Sonic the Hedgehog anniversary game is going to be before it happens.
  10. Assault Android Cactus sounds... interesting. :p But, it's just voting for one game, which will become one of the free games on Plus one month, which will get downloaded and added to virtual pile of titles yet to play; plus even then it won't be top of the list, before the free games I have titles which I've paid money for which will take higher priority. So yes, if I can be inclined to vote then I'll go for Assault Android Cactus purely because it falls somewhere within the twin-stick shooter genre which would go down well as an underappreciated plus game... which will then no doubt gain cult status somehow a few months down the line when someone finally plays it and then creates a thread saying "OMG! why did nobody tell me about this amazing game!!11!" or not.
  11. Game ordered (PS4) New Fightpad ordered (Ken) Let's do this! (Hyped) : peace:
  12. Those prices are all over the place, obviously good for anyone who hasn't bought any add on content so far but who plans to buy it all. A bit annoying to those who purchased it all seperately though each time, going through the download, update, load the game up twice process each time. How about a free VC game for our troubles Nintendo? Ultimate edition Super Smash Bros. confirmed for NX then.
  13. I'm sorry to hear that Happenstance. Also, Happy Birthday... although it doesn't seem right typing it in the same post, it wouldn't be right not to wish you well even if you're probably not going to feel like celebrating. Surely your Nan would have wanted for you to have had a good Birthday though? I don't know what else to say, I was just earlier over at my Nan's house, celebrating her Birthday as well. We lost my Nan on my mother's side a good few years ago, so I try not to take these moments for granted as I know how it feels; anyway... if you need to talk then just say the word.
  14. At that price you really might as well go for the fit meter and the game, get the most out of it.
  15. Being that the fit meter is pre-owned you might need to get rid of the odd data on it or it might do that automatically when you sync it to the software. The free offer for Wii Fit U when you buy the fit meter expired aggggges ago, so you'll need to either buy the software physically or digitally. You have the balance board? That's good because you need it to get anything useful out of the software, I mostly play the balance games. Buy eet! : peace:
  16. There already is a HD remaster of Okami... Granted it's digital only and on the PS3 - no good if you don't own a Sony machine - but well worth investing in. : peace:
  17. No screenshot posting yet it has a miiverse community? That's just pointless, it's not as if screens of the game don't already exist on the internet so I don't see what S-E gain from this? Obviously games like Super Mario RPG won't be affected but if this is to be standard for S-E properties then it will be screen captures for those games I suppose, a shame because I found posting to miiverse then copy/pasting easier but oh well. This will be mentioned in its VC Weekly review for certain.
  18. PS + or bust... Would play though, probably. : peace:
  19. Only the Elephant (Man) in the room.
  20. Available for pre-order on the Nintendo Store. You can STILL get a free 2016 calander (worth £7.99) with the following codes... KARTCALENDAR1 MARIOCALENDAR1 ZELDACALENDAR1 CROSSINGCALENDAR1 I've got a full set of them now.
  21. TMNT, by Platinum, cel-shaded, 4 player online co-op and with Bebop and Rocksteady confirmed? Sold! :awesome: Well, sold unless something happens and it turns out to be trash but... this actually looks pretty damn good. I bet the Xbox One box art will look the best in this instance thanks to the green. Just saying...
  22. It's more similar to Fire Emblem but with a top-down isometric perspective. If you like SRPG's and you enjoy a bit of Final Fantasy then you'll surely like it. What do you think? Are you going to dazzybee it dazzybee? I'm going to purchase it without hesitation! : peace:
  23. I'm sorry to hear about your Uncle Martinist.
  24. That HDD cover was awkward to remove when I installed a new hard drive in my PS4, that thing is never coming off my console for rest of its gaming life.
