Go for it Josh, play Super Mario RPG... ...for the rest of yourrr gaming life! You won't regret it! : peace:
-
Will possibly play when it's free with Plus in a years time. It looks interesting but I don't feel compelled enough to play it on release or to pay for it on release. I hope it delivers for anyone who does pay full price for it though. : peace:

The general populace might not care about the press conference either but by having the press conference, the media gets involved, word of mouth gets around quickly... it helps more than it hinders you surely have to admit? : peace: So long as the message is clearly put across as to what the machine is and what it can do, revealing the NX as part of a press conference can only be a good thing for Nintendo. I don't mind personally if they decide to reveal it in a direct or in a conference or both - though part of me would love to see them on form in a press confernce at E3 again - so long as the machine gets revealed and intentions are clear from Nintendo right from day one. Let's not forget that it has been a challening time for them recently as the loss of Satoru Iwata is certainly still being felt and will be for a very long time - from within the company and worldwide - but I'm sure that he wouldn't want all of his plans for the company's future to go unfulfilled; indeed I'm very sure they won't as it sounds like he had been planting seeds of change for some time and 2016 is surely the year in which they will begin to sprout... like Pikmin. NX is surely just the start of things to come, whatever happens I can't wait to see what the future brings for Nintendo as all I know is that I have a good feeling about it all.

When does everyone think the NX will be announced? I think a proper reveal around E3 time but I have a feeling that we'll have a Nintendo Direct sometime in... mid-March perhaps? Which will at the very least allude to more details.

Sounds about right, Hori are reknown for making some really excellent controllers over the years, some of them equally as good as official offerings. (they practically are almost official) While I don't think this pad will be their finest hour I think it will be worth owning for this game at least. I have one of those Hori Gamecube controllers for use with the GBA Player and GC fighting games, it's one of my favourites easily.

I really want to play through it for the first time. I've been sorting out my games collection this week and I've made sure that my PS4 games are in a more prominent place in the hope that I will actually play them soon. The Witcher 3 is right in the middle on the shelf so I can't miss it, with the expansion still sealed up with those lovely Gwent decks for after I finish the main game. I take it that I should not even redeem the dlc code until I've finished the main game being that it's an expansion? Unless it's more of a standalone thing which launches seperately to the game, either way main quest completion first I reckon. This year... I will play it this year, I have to! This feeling of shame shall be lifted!

I can't wait to play this again! It has been a while since this was released on the Wii VC as well, interestingly it will be the first time it has been reviewed in VC Weekly as well because N-E didn't start reviewing the games on a regular basis until a few months after the launch of the Virtual Console. We'll soon set that right though. : peace: Also, as an aside I can't wait to play proper battle mode again.

N64 - No signal you guys got any fixes?
S.C.G replied to flameboy's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Although... a US N64 coupled with a passport plus so you can play games of all regions, that would be a viable option. : peace: -
I'll still be buying it either way but Nintendo might as well release it in 60Hz and please everyone... It's zero extra effort for them and more guaranteed sales as then anyone who's not bothered by the difference will buy it anyway and still be benefiting, those who want 60Hz because they do notice the difference will buy it and not boycott the 50Hz release so everyone wins. : peace: Unless there's anyone who wants 50Hz only games and is bizarrely choosing to boycot the 60Hz releases but I can't see that happaning, even though it's worth noting that there's always the small possibility. To give people the choice would be the best option, almost like M2 have done with the Sega 3D classics as they let you choose from multiple regions, there's no reason why we shouldn't have the choice really in this day and age.

Mario Kart 64! Come on NOE don't letus down now, to give us 60Hz versions of both 1080° Snowboarding and Wave Race 64 and then not to carry on with the same treatment for all other racing games at the very least would be sheer lunacy.

From Page 11... Does anyone else think this should be recreated into its own thread now? (We're now on Page 14) We've gone from talking about Zelda to Star Wars... which couldn't be much further away from the topic. I'm all for discussing dlc, season-passes and locked content but it gets to the point where it's just clogging up the original thread.

N-Europe Presents VC Weekly #367 Mario Tennis New Super Mario Bros. Onimusha Tactics A collaborative catch-up effort from both Dean and I in this edition. (Thank you to Dcubed for both of his Mario title reviews) And a review of Onimusha Tactics which I found to be a surprise hit. Enjoy!. : peace:

You could log into the Playstation Store on your PC instead, cut/paste code from e-mail, redeem, done! : peace: It's marginally less effort that way in any case.

I wish to second this motion... Happy Belated Birthday Iun. Sorry I forgot. If you feel like playing Resident Evil Revelations multiplayer - on either 3DS or Wii U - for old times sake, let me know. : peace:
-
And some not so great people were born in January too...
S.C.G replied to Eenuh's topic in General Chit Chat
Happy Birthday Flink! I hope your Birthday contains a suitable amount of The Witcher III, Gwent and celebration. : peace: -
Happy Birthday @Dr.bob! I hope you've prescribed yourself an excellent day. Happy Birthday to @Glen\-i as well! I hope your day is filled with the appropriate amount of Kirby and chameleons.

Literally just pre-ordered mine. If you are buying the limited edition for £49.99 and you add a cheap keyring to take it over £50 then you can get a free 2016 calander (worth £7.99) with the following codes... KARTCALENDAR1 MARIOCALENDAR1 ZELDACALENDAR1 CROSSINGCALENDAR1 Worth it if you needed or wanted a 2016 calendar. : peace:
-
Ah OK, I take it we should see a pre-order up on the Nintendo Store UK within the month then hopefully.
-
How handy, that's when my next holiday from work is. Where/when can I pre-order? : peace:

So erm... yeah. Even after... *Sigh* And to think I was doing so well... The rabbit made me do it... the Rabbit MADE ME do it... THE RABBIT MADE ME DO IT!!!! But they look so nice on the home screen, and it came with that - incriminating - theme for FREE! But not free... as it was really for spending £1.80 but still. I don't know what to say, I have no defence apart from I love pixel art consoles. I got the entire set apart from the SNES... and the rabbit was there saying to me... Rabbit - "You need that one to complete the set skip... buy some free plays! you can get all the Game Boys and the SNES in just five plays... go on skip, you know you want to" *rabbit gives that doughy-eyed look* Me - "Well... I don't like the idea but OK! just this once" A few minutes and £1.80 later... Me - "What have I done!" Rabbit - "The contract is sealed!" *rabbit gives the evil-eyed look* You win this round Nintendo...

Amazing, it looks like the concept for Super Mario Maker and indeed simplified user-created content and game-making was something which existed in a patent by Nintendo as early as the Nineties... Just imagine if that had come out when it did, no doubt it would have been expensive but still, I wonder if any working prototypes were ever made? Probably not but still, pretty amazing stuff... : peace:
-
Me too, but then I kind of expected it, I haven't played in a while. Thanks for the games though, I really enjoyed it.

This is a very good point, in my head I was thinking that it would be an extra standalone dungeon but the thought of parts of one game carrying over via the amiibo is quite exciting stuff. Kind of like perhaps in the same way as Stop 'n Swop was going to be implemented between Banjo-Kazooie & Tooie on the N64 but in a more robust and functional way thanks to the NFC technology employed by the figures... Perhaps carrying over a new key item from Twilight Princess HD which would enable you to discover a "secret" area hidden deep within the expansive overworld of Zelda Wii U. An exciting prospect indeed, one thing is for certain, these next few months are going to prove very interesting indeed depending on what imformation crops up. : peace:
