  1. That's good because there isn't any rubber-band A.I. in the game at all, it's just very efficient but you can beat it, just takes practice. This is true, there are also no catch-up tricks in the online either which I why I love it so much. The other racers are just literally right behind you and not because they warped there through trickery or anything like that, I've crashed and gone from first to nearly last several times, but then I have caught up again by boosting like crazy, often it would take a whole lap or more to get there but sometimes not, there's definitely no rubber-banding here though which is something that the developers Shin'en should be proud of. : peace: I am sorry to hear that people are experiencing errors in the online though, could anyone please tell me, when you were experiencing hard system crashes on the Wii U itself was it just when you were playing friend matches? Just that I was only playing "Everyone" online matches last night in the end - I did check the friend room a few times but found no one - and I didn't experience any crashes at all, it was working flawlessly for hours. If there is a problem though be it for whichever mode or both I do hope that it will get patched out as it's such a great game. After playing online I found that I was finally able to get all golds on the first difficult on all leagues, before that I had only managed a Bronze on the third league and not even third place on the final one. So I just saw the credits on this last night, it was good to see a familiar face in them... View post in Miiverse Yes, our very own Tim Symons who was Co-founder of this very site, he must have been working very closely alongside Shin'en to ensure that everything went smoothly with the games release I assume; either way it's good to see his name again. : peace:
  2. OK, well I just finished my dinner so I'll be going online now at least, hopefully will see some of you online. Edit - I'm online, playing multiplayer with "Everyone" at the moment, if anyone wants a "Friends" game then let me know and I'll join in a bit.
  3. Does anyone want to play this online tonight? Let me know if you do. : peace:
  4. N-Europe Presents VC Weekly #362 The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks This edition features one original review along with a rewrite of my original Spirit Tracks review from back in the day. Not exactly my finest hour but not bad for an afternoon's work. We'll have a substantial selection of reviews for you sometime before Christmas though featuring Ninja's and NES games galore! (Though the week before that it will be Animal Crossing Wild World... just a heads-up) Also just in case anyone wanted to pick up Kirby Mass Attack and Power Paintbrush don't forget the offer is on until tomorrow afternoon when Game & Watch Gallery Advance and Polarium Advance go up for sale. (I think) Enjoy! : peace:
  5. That is the best price as far as I can tell, unless you call a 50p discount on eBay worth the saving or £1 less on Amazon. Are they staying in their boxes as a collectable? If so you might as well buy them now as they will only go up in value surely? Aside from that if you can wait, keep checking the Nintendo site each day as there is a small chance they might be one of the twelve days of Christmas... £5 off each maybe, you never know. : peace:
  6. I don't need them... I don't need them... they look lovely but I don't want to buy them. I already have too many... but then how many is too many? For some it's just one amiibo whereas for others it's one hundred. Indeed I've actually just counted and I have sixty-four amiibo figures in total... But... I only originally wanted Samus to start with!
  7. I'm at about half that, maybe nine or ten hours in - so many games to play - and the battle system has just started to "click" with me. I keep going off on side-quests, some of the drop-rates or appearance rates seem brtual, on one quest I've been running around looking for...
  8. It's up to you, no it doesn't need to be anything special, just that the Xbox 360 headset seems to be the best all-round one I've found, so long as you buy one of those small adapters so it will fit in the gamepad.
  9. In that case, can you order from eBay? If so... Here's the adapter I bought for my Xbox 360 headset... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stereo-3-5mm-Jack-Male-Plug-to-2-5mm-Female-Adapter-Headphone-Mobile-Phone-/271176094439? And here's the Xbox 360 headset... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Official-Microsoft-Xbox-360-Wired-All-Black-Headset-FREE-UK-POSTAGE-/291515859215?hash=item43dfb3010f:g:XCAAAOSwDNdVpiA5#shpCntId Both of them seem to post to Bosnia, it'll end up being around the same price too, plus the Xbox 360 headset is a mono one so you'll hear only chat while you can still have the game sound coming through your speakers.
  10. That's all you'll need! : peace: I was only suggesting getting a headset if it happened to be £10 - £15 or so, as you say there's no point in spending a lot of money on something you won't be able to use that much but for the sake of £10 it's worth it just for MH3U alone!
  11. European code and it should be fine. As for the headset, you can buy one made for the Wii U I think but if you already have a headset spare then you can use that as long as it has the right connector, I use an Xbox 360 headset but with an adapter - 1.5mm to 3.5mm I think - which seems to work. : peace:
  12. That's a good price for a download code in the sense that a physical copy would cost you the same if not more and as I understand your situation to be that you are mostly limited to purchasing digital copies, I would go for it. It also happens to be a very good game indeed, one of the few games which has online voice chat as well so you'd get a chance to properly test out the headphone socket on the Gamepad - assuming you have a headset - in addition to making good use of the storage space on your new hard drive as well. I really do love the game personally, so I'd probably consider playing it online again if you are interested at some point? The same goes if anyone else was thinking of playing MH3U again. : peace:
  13. I've been tuning in every week without fail. I love pretty much anything to do with the Coen brothers - I really got into their films half a life-time ago thanks to a film club at college - so when I first heard that a TV series based on Fargo was being made... understandably I was rather happy about this. Both seasons have been very consistent each week, the way in which each episode is shot too... just beautiful, many stand-out moments too which I won't spoil for anyone but the mixture of suspense and drama coupled with superb story-telling, casting plus that all important trademark humour makes it - for me at least - one of the best things I've seen on TV in a very long time; unmissable. : peace:
  14. G&W Zelda is amazing! Unless you own the real thing... I'm fortunate enough to not only own the Zelda Game & Watch once but twice! I've had the original for about fifteen years now as I was lucky to have been offered it for around £20 at the time - unboxed naturally - and I picked up the more portable re-release for a couple of quid a good few years after that. : peace: But yes, the requirments for unlocking it in Game & Watch Gallery Advance do seem to be bordering on the insane! One hundred and sixty stars? I'm pretty sure that I didn't unlock Zelda in my original copy, not even close... though I might actually be tempted to try and aim for it on the VC version, it would be well suited to Gamepad play and probably even better on the big screen so you can actually see what you're doing. It's easily one of the best ways to at least get to experience so many brilliant Game & Watch games in any case, definitely the most cost-effective versus buying the real thing. : peace: I might get around to posting some pictures of my Game & Watch collection at some point...
  15. Sceptile is in this? Excellent news! I've always adored Grass starter Pokémon so naturally I felt it was a bit cold for there to be no Grass type available in Super Smash Bros. so at least this makes up for it somewhat. : peace:
  16. I'd say that it's Outstanding personally. Certainly worth £7.50 in any case! : peace:
  17. I'm truly sorry for your loss Animal. At least you and your family were there for him, N-E is here for you if you need us. R.I.P
  18. Well, I'm about to dive in to my first proper play-session on this after only managing to create my character last night, will let you all know if I'm really feeling it - or not - in a little bit. I am interested to know which options I should be picking for this multiplayer stuff though or indeed if it even matters, I'm more than willing to help people out on the game but if I'm faced with a load of options at a certain point in the game then I'll just take a lucky guess as I always viewed this as more of a single-player affair anyway; basically if the options are simple then I'm willing to pick the same options as everyone else if it helps out the N-E community. : peace: But I'll need to know what those options are...
  19. Oh wow! Day one purchase for certain, I loved the first game, though I still need to go back and finish it again following me second PS3 console failing on me but I would play the first game from the start again for certain before this comes out.
  20. I was very happy with this announcement though at the time I thought they just meant that they were giving away the original for free but being that it's the remaster it does seem to be a pretty solid deal. I've just downloaded it, you need the Epic Games launcher to download and play the game but it seems like a small price to pay, I'm glad that this title has been remastered as I didn't get to finish it the first time but obviously I will now. : peace: Just tested it out using the training mode, seems pretty solid, I got mostly golds in the training and was feeling pretty pleased with myself until all of a sudden... a Platunum? Oh well I'm still happy with getting golds, there seems to be achievements in the game as well which is nice and it works seamlessly with the Xbox One controller. I can't wait to play it properly at some point, it's not quite as good as games which it draws inspiration from like Super Metroid but it'll do, it is its own thing afterall.
  21. 35 minutes to install the add-on content, that I already spent and hour and a half downloading the other day... In fairness I knew it would take a while for the Wii U to install that amount of data for us with the game but still, I could be playing another game while that installs.
  22. What a creep! You deserve so much better than that Pancake. Best of luck with the dating site, they do seem to be such awful places though.
  23. N-Europe Presents VC Weekly #361 Contra Advance Medabots AX Mega Man Battle Network 5 This edition features some excellent write-ups by Dcubed including some video footage. And me stating how I'd rather be playing Phantasy Star Online instead of Mega Man Battle Network 5, no really! (I find the MMBN series very easy to get burnt-out on after a short while) Anyway a lot of work went into this edition one way or another so... Enjoy! : peace:
