  1. Rise of the Tomb Raider If you've played the first reboot already then why not buy the sequel? It's exclusive until next year as well. : peace: I'd be telling you how good it is but I'm still finishing the first one, which is also very good... so if you don't have either then why not get both? If you don't like Tomb Raider though then I guess this doesn't help. Sunset Overdrive Another solid exclusive, cheaper now as well, a good, fun open-world - but more focused - game. Forza 6 If you like driving games that is, very enjoyable from what I've played. Black Ops III is probably worth a go but I'd get it pre-owned if you can to save money on it because I don't think any Call of Duty game is worth full RRP personally. Also you might want to consider getting The Evil Within if you haven't played it on other platforms yet, it's suppose to be good. I hope this sort of helps at least.
  2. I'm sorry to hear that Hannah. Is there at least a chance that your mum might not develop the disease? Either way, my best wishes to the both of you and the rest of your family.
  3. Well, I'm still single... have been for a while now but I try not to be too miserable about it. Even though inside I'm thinking... "I'm 30 and single, still living at home and buying more games than I have at any point in my life... what am I doing?" But then I calm down and think about it all rationally... This means I have some time to actually play the games at least, even if it doesn't always work out that way... plus I have plenty to keep me busy with reviews so that's good - speaking of which I'll get back to those after posting this - and for the first time in a while I actually feel like I'm enjoying life a bit more. As I've said, I'm not ruling out the possibility of being in a relationship at all... it's something I would quite like with the right person but in the meantime at least I have plenty of distractions and things to enjoy in life. : peace: Ah yeah... right, I mean... Oh woe is me! Am I destined to forever live a life of misery? Is that better Shorty?
  4. I'm really sorry to hear that @Animal even if you were expecting it you can never be fully prepared for news like that. I remember when I lost my grandparents on my mother's side years ago, I still miss them a lot to this very day... All I can say is make those days count as I'm sure you will. Of course I realise these words will probably be of little comfort to you right now, but we're here if you want to talk.
  5. *Sees this* ... *goes to site* *orders one of each* Wait? What! How did that happen? *logs out of site before being tempted to buy anything else* You win this round Nintendo store...
  6. This! I too would love to Race to the Finish! (of death!) over Christmas as I'm sure me and my brothers will be having a few games on it. : peace:
  7. I've had one for about a year or so, the lead is about 1 Metre long and it's one of those leads which will never be completely straight either so another extension lead is most likely required especially as it connects to the Blue block around the back of it; at least it's an angled connector though. : peace:
  8. Reigniting the flames of an age-old debate with... Charcoal!
  9. Congrats to @Glen\-i the stage-breaker! (the stage might have been a bit broken before though in fairness @Dcubed surely?) Anyway thanks to both of you and @Ugh first aid for hosting, commentating and playing. Thanks to @RedShell, @nekunando and @Jimbob for playing as well. What an amazing tournament and a fitting end to a spectacular week of Super Smash Bros! :awesome: I can't wait to see the highlight reel...
  10. Did you see this @Ugh first aid? Mega Yarn Yoshi is still available so get one quick! (unless you ordered one already) http://store.nintendo.co.uk/amiibo/mega-yarn-yoshi-amiibo/11164984.html
  11. Downloading all of them now... 10492MB total, Time remaining 1 hour and 30 minutes over Wireless on a Fibre connection. : peace:
  12. Thank you to everyone for an excellent evening of for fun Super Smash Bros battles. And congratulations to @Glen\-i and @Ugh first aid for providing excellent commentary throughout in addition to playing - and deliberately jumping off the stage - well. All of the battles were really good, @RedShell your mii really looked the part as well, more than living up to your namesake Shell of Red! Thanks to Dcubed for putting all this together as well, really excellent work. Roll on Crazy Smash tomorrow! :awesome:
  13. Practising? >.> <.< ' Nah, I'm just going to turn up and see what happens. (Has actually been playing single player for three hours today)
  14. I am really, really hoping that once the NX comes out we will be able to tie down all downloaded purchases of games, DLC etc to an account which will incorporate the entire NNID so that if anything ever does go wrong, it's easy to redownload on another machine. This whole business of losing EVERYTHING if you delete your NNID is quite frankly not just antiquated but bordering on the insane! I must have spent... over £500 or more - probably more - on Virtual Console titles, eShop titles, Retail games and DLC over the years, the thought of possibly losing it all is just terrifying.
  15. *Said in a hushed tone* I... I own an Xbox One... but shhhhhhh! Don't tell anyone. [/shame] In all seriousness the Xbox One is fine now that it has some reasonable exclusives, the PS4 definitely has a greater breadth of games though, I tend to be buying certain multiformat and peripheral games for the Xbox One in addition to the exclusives; for instance I own the Forza games which I have a wheel for and I succumed to buying two certain Guitar-based games because I'm weak willed! (I only just bought GH Live the other day as it was half price but I've had Rock Band 4 for a couple of weeks which is great fun) The laughable thing is, I have thirteen boxed games for the Xbox One as opposed to nearly double that on the PS4 yet I'm playing on the Xbox One more than anything lately; that will change though I'm sure. : peace:
  16. Agreed, I really enjoyed that episode. I sort of guessed what was going on towards the end but it was still a great reveal, should be a good season finale next week. : peace:
  17. If you're interested I'll sell you my Blue PS4 controller, barely used, bought it a few months ago and I've hardly been playing my PS4 so it's just collecting dust at the moment. £40 including first class recorded delivery - Amazon seems to be £41 at the moment - obviously no original packaging to keep postage costs down. Anyway, PM me if you're interested. : peace:
  18. Anyone else spend the required £1.80 (ten plays) to get the Super Mario Kart theme? @RedShell? The offer is on until midnight on 01/12/15 and I'm definitely considering it, I'm assuming it's like buying a full theme as well in that you get the scrolling background and the background music too, if so then it seems like a good deal.
  19. Ah... I may have made an error, for some reason I thought the tournament was Friday - Sunday but this means that I can definitely start at the original time of 8:30pm on Sunday. [insert Thou Hast Goofed! image here] I'm sorry if I've caused any confusion for everyone involved. Also if it's any help then I can commit to 9:00pm on Monday to make it slightly earlier for everyone as I catch a bus at just after 8PM which will get me home in good time. It's possible I might be able to get home earlier on the Monday which would mean I might make the original 8:30pm time but it wouldn't be a certainty - sometimes I get offered a lift home - so I don't want to say that I could start earlier on that night and then it not be the case, I just don't like the feeling of unintentionally messing anyone around any further when you've already been so kind in accomodating a later start time already. Anyway I just thought I'd let you know that now to give as much warning as possible, also I hope you all have fun tonight in the For Glory battle! : peace:
  20. If you're keeping the latest challenge open until around midnight tonight again then I'll definitely give it a try, I won't even be back from work until around 10:30PM tonight but I definitely want to give it a go.
  21. Well, as you might have guessed, I didn't manage to do it in time, I couldn't even beat the game on Normal without using one continue... But I did at the very least finish the game, in honour of Satoru Iwata. : peace: And I did it as my favourite character of course. :awesome: I'll definitely be up for the next challenge as Melee was definitely one of the Super Smash Bros. titles that I recall being at least fairly decent at. By my standards anyway...
  22. It is rather awful isn't it? OK! Well I've just taken a half hour break so, I shall make a cuppa and give it one last try! : peace: From now until midnight, or just after, I will do my best.
  23. How late exactly? I ran into a little... trouble yesterday as I loaded up my N64 cartridge only to find there was less data on it than I originally remembered... a whole two unlockable characters less data to be precise. So I then spent over an hour trying to beat 1 Player mode with three lives, no continues to unlock Ness, I thought the stick on my "trusty" green controller was a bit off, tried my original Grey controller which I then found out still works well but by that time it was pretty late so I decided to just give up... yeah, turns out I'm really not that great at the original Super Smash Bros at all. But if there's still time then... I'll give it another go! : peace: Even if/when I unlock Ness though it will only be the start of the pain, as I seem to suck at break the targets AND board the platforms in the version too... Buuuuuut... I'm a sucker for punishment, so here we gooooooo! : peace: Annnnnnnd an hour and a half later I still can't do it, not even as Samus Oh Ms Aran, forgive me for I have brought shame upon your name! Oh well, at least I tried. I had fun playing Super Smash Bros. again, the game in the series which I'm the least familiar with so it's not a complete loss. : peace:
  24. When you say that the tourneys will start at 20:30 do all matches have to begin at that time? Just checking because I don't actually finish work until 20:30 on Saturday... I'll likely be home by 21:00 assuming I'm getting a lift back which I usually do but if you don't hear anything from me at all by 21:30 then it's definitely safe to assume I won't be home until the tournament finishes; that's just worst-case scenario but I thought it best to let you know now. Otherwise, all going well I fully intend to be home and ready to play by 21:00 or just after. : peace:
  25. And for those times when something in the match goes wrong, just use this classic... Seriously though, good on you Serebii for giving it a go, things will surely only get better for next time. : peace:
