  1. I watched that video earlier as it has just reconfirmed in my mind that the game will look so much better by the time it has been hopefully polished to the Nth degree by the time it launches. Apparently the footage looks even better when viewed on the Wii U console from the videos on the eShop too, I shall be checking that out in a bit.
  2. It's still going to be reasonably good value even at £30+ as currently the only way to play the game with a traditional controller is to buy the Gamecube version which seems to go for around £50+ still due to its rarity. Perhaps not the best way to look at it but Nintendo software certainly does tend to hold its value for longer whereas games on other systems often plummet after mere months. All I know is I'll gladly pay around £40 with the amiibo figure for Twilight Princess HD as it's still very much worth it.
  3. Glad I'm only collecting Smash and any one-off/small sets that I'm interested in. (Small sets being the Splatoon amiibo figures being as that's only three) Wolf Link shall be mine though at all costs!
  4. This still stands... But I'll also put myself down as a... If not though, I hope you all have fun! : peace:
  5. The most important part to note though is that nobody has to spend money on plays yo get the badges. I haven't paid a penny yet and don't intend to unless I see a theme that I genuinely want. Even I'll admit that there is an addicitve nature to it but if I ended up spending say £20 in order to get all of the badges available so far I just know that I'd regret it and would be thinking about how many REAL Nintendo badges that could have bought me. But if anyone wants to spend money on these then that's up to them, they are pretty cool. : peace: I'm wondering if I'll change my tune when a Metroid set becomes available...
  6. I like the new dashboard, it seems quicker now at least though I would like the ability to customise things a bit more but it's perfectly usable. What I was more impressed with was the fact that all of the backwards compatible available games were just there, waiting to be installed, so I went with Zuma to test and not only did it work, was quicker but it seemed to have my original save present as well... how does that work? I was under the assumption that I would need to physically add all my saves to the cloud if I wanted to do that, so is it the case that Microsoft has moved all the available files on my behalf or that some games just go off the ahievements that you already have or something else as I'm genuinely curious about this; does anyone know?
  7. I've had my copy for a day or two, sadly though I can't play it as I haven't finished the previous title. Although because I've taken so long about it, I may have started the game on PS4 but I barely got anywhere, since then I've had the game for free thanks to Games with Gold so I just last night started playing the first game and I'm currently enjoying it a lot. I may as well just sell my PS4 copy - which I don't think I paid too much for anyway - and make some money back from it, Tomb Raider on Xbox for me from now on even if it means I'll be giving up potential extra content when the game eventually launches on PS4, that's a year away so I might as well take advantage of what is for now a platform exclusive. Tomb Raider may have been more closely associated with the Playstation brand at the start but ever since Crystal Dynamics have been developing the series, I've juust seen it as another multformat franchise which I have now taken to be more closely linked with the Xbox brand. Not that it matters ultimately, so long as the games are good and everyone gets to play them eventually then there's no harm done, on a personal level I'm just happy to be back into playing games again on a more regular basis thanks to a bit of time off I have. : peace:
  8. Awful news. I feel bad for anyone caught up in it.
  9. That's just exactly it though, it isn't F-Zero or Wipeout or any other futuristic racer you care to mention. While passing comparisons will be made, FAST is its own thing and it's glorious. This sequel looks to significantly improve upon the original which was already amazing considering what Shin'en were up against with the paltry limitations of the Wii shop channel. Now we get to see what their true vision for the series is and I for one cannot wait. : peace:
  10. So long as I can unlock and play a few puzzles per day/week for free then I'm happy. : peace:
  11. I didn't mind it personally as I can see it's all tied-in with the persona of the character presenting it to you. It was just a bit wearing having just downloaded it late last night, but the initial explanation was always going to be long so it's all good. Also there are some nice references and humour in the dialogue too.
  12. I think that might well be the case here, I think you'll need to talk to your new employer because that doesn't sound right to me at all.
  13. I'm just going to go ahead and assume that the eShop price for Xenobalde Chronicles X will be £49.99 I'd have thought, it might be cheaper though but not by much.
  14. The in-depth explanation is only for the first time you load the software up, yes I found it tiring too as I downloaded it instantly and just wanted to have a go but it's fine after that. Also it does ask you at least twice if you want to purchase more plays and even then if you got past that point you would still have to enter all your credit card details to purchases unless you had them stored on there which I don't. I haven't spent a penny on it so far and I don't intend to, at least not on extra plays... if the themes are chargable and I like them enough then I might consider purchasing them but only if they are the same prices as the existing themes in the theme shop, so I won't pay any more than £1.50 or so for a theme; hopefully we'll get some free ones though.
  15. But what I mean is, if you get to play the game as a normal Picross game, with the only chargable piece of the software being the bit that you really don't need anyway, then it's essentially a free Picross game with more puzzles added to it on a regular basis. Normally I don't even touch any of the other "Free to Start" Pokemon games but this seems to be worth investigating.
  16. I'm not 100% but I think you need to get in contact with the Citizen's Advice Bureau... https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/tax/problems-with-tax/help-with-tax-problems/ Sorry that I can't be any more useful than that, I've had tax rebates before for really small amounts but I've never had to pay any extra back so I couldn't really comment.
  17. If it has to be a choice then keep saving for Xenoblade as it's not something you'll want to miss out on, plus you never know... there might be a sale on the other games and dlc around Christmas time.
  18. The way this game is put together is slightly different though is it not? Unless I misunderstood it, the way in which it was presented seemed to suggest that all of the puzzles would be free - a few to start with more released over time - but that you could optionally purchase something called "Picrats" which would give you an advantage for certain puzzles. Or did I misunderstand it completely? If it's free for the puzzles which you can then choose to play without the extra - and unnecessary - assistance then I'm all in! : peace:
  19. I've got decent expectations for it as well, personally I think it looks a lot better than the original and if they can make the Gamepad work seamlessly with it then I'll be very pleased. You're quite right! I think when I saw the colour of the buttons, it looked at first glance like Wii controls to me, I'm very glad to stand corrected though.
  20. The on-screen prompts looked like Wii buttons to me but I wouldn't be surprised if you could use the pro controller or the gamepad and if so then I hope the prompts will change. What would be even better is if Nintendo actually made proper use of the GC controller adapter so that we could use a GC pad with it as originally intended, that would be something.
  21. It's Twilight Princess in HD... I wasn't expecting much more than that, it clearly looks a lot better than the original release so I'm happy. : peace: But yes... if it doesn't actually add much more content then no more than £29.99 on its own or £39.99 with that lovely amiibo figure.
  22. Damn right! There are no excuses to hide behind now. : peace:
  23. Well that was unexpected... Final Fantasy representation within Super Smash Bros. So... when's Final Fantasy VII remake coming to Wii U then Nintendo? In all seriousness though, out of all the characters... certainly unexpected.
  24. While we're on the subject of Shining Force, why not have Mega CD games as well? Shining Force CD is all kinds of expensive just for the game alone which seems to go for £100, I very recently acquired a copy after many years by managing to get a good deal from buying the case and manual first and then the disc but as far as I'm aware you need an extra RAM cartridge in order to have enough space to play it in its complete form. Those things are rare as it is if you're looking for one of the correct region, it is possible to buy more modern third-party options but those aren't cheap either. Imagine just being able to buy something like that which just works on the VC for less than a tenner.
  25. Essentially this... It would be amazing though and certainly a unique selling point for the console. : peace:
