I'll give it a watch but there's something about the presenter that rubs me up the wrong way.

@Ashley BANANA SLAMMA' (It's on Love Film instant, if anyone's interested :p) Aaaaaaand I don't know if I should be excited or not. It could be great, then again, it could turn out like.... Sonic Underground.

That doesn't surprise me actually, I've seen a lot of very recent merchandise with this kind of 'classic' art-work on it. From cups to easter eggs and tshirts. It makes sense really, especially considering how often people use the image of 'Paper Mario' when a lot of people probably don't even know about the Paper Mario series. He's coming to an age where his image is that of Mickey Mouse, I think. And my god, this trailer is just so good. I watched it again and that music. I love that it has an open world stage as well where Mario is just messing about trying to catch things as the cat. It brings back memories of just messing around with things in Mario 64 for ages and not worrying about objectives or time constraints.

I did think it was odd that we'd still seen barely anything about this. It's a shame but the 3DS could do with a few more first-party releases next year.

Shit, if that's the case then YouTube is almost useless on the browser because at least half the videos I watch on YouTube seem to have adverts. It did almost seem too good to be true before though when the browser would let you just skip to the very last second of an advert and then move on to the proper video.

That Luigi WiiMote looks wonderful! I just wish they weren't always so expensive And I updated my Wii U today, I probably won't use many of the new features but they sound cool. One thing I did hear is that youtube is fixed on the internet browser which was music to my ears. Buuuuuut I seem to be getting 'video can't be played on this device' on like every other video I click on :S Is anyone else getting this? My internet is usually really weird though, so it could just be me. And I'm slightly disappointed that Nintendo TVii didn't spring to life after this update but i'll still keep the faith. ...I just hope it doesn't turn into another tab cube situation I'm still healing after that.

Nintendo Direct Today 3:00PM... I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY!
Josh64 replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I couldn't, in my wildest dreams, match Shibata. I thought he was good after his rendition of Call Me Maybe, but today had me floored. ____________ And I thought the direct was good, 3D Worlds looks MILES better than the first trailer shown. It has thrown all my fears out of the window (those being that it would be pretty rubbish in single player) as a lot of levels look very much like Galaxy just with less gravity trickery (which was pretty much stretched as far as it could go in Galaxy 2 anyway). I couldn't care less about Donkey Kong Country, I think I've made my feelings clear many times on here why I don't like it so I won't go into details :P But as a whole I think it IS bad that it has been delayed. I know it's good to pace out games but Nintendo need literally all they can to turn the Wii U around, especially with the PS4 and XBONE around the corner. They'd have had a great christmas with strong advertising for Wind Waker, Mario, Donkey Kong and Sonic. Heck, it's like 4 of gamings most popular characters on one system in the space of 3 months. I don't think it's the end of the world though. Like you guys said, Wii Sports Club and Fit U will help, and Mario really does look great now, so with the right advertising, it could be the next New Super Mario Bros (sales wise) And what's all this hate for Karaoke U? If it's not a genre for you then fine but did you really not expect to see these kinds of titles on Wii U? It's stuff like this that made the original Wii the success it was. And it's not like some cheap shit they're churning out at the last minute, it's an inventive way of selling a party experience at a cheap price. One of the main downfalls of Karaoke games is the price and the music. After a few hours you've exhausted all the songs on there and won't play it again for a year so that £50 feels like a waste. But £1.49 (or whatever it was) for an hour or two is a great idea. -

Has anyone got a clip of Shibata and Karaoke U by itself and not part of the whole Direct video? -
Oh man that was amazing!

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!
Josh64 replied to Aneres11's topic in General Chit Chat
I was totally obsessed with this when the album first came out and now the video is out, I'm obsessed all over again. -
5000? Holy shit. I thought we'd never go lower than the Gamecube days but this really is something. All year I kept thinking Nintendo would have a dramatic 3DS-like turn around but it's going to take a LOT to save the Wii U. And I don't buy the advertising thing. Nintendo had plenty of launch titles they could have advertised all year, Nintendo Land and NSMU for example, and could have pushed Pikmin 3 and 101 in the Summer. It really does feel as though they're not even trying anymore.

After a good week off work it was back to reality today and uuuuuuurrrgh yeah, it's one of my work posts. You should skip probably. I basically use this thread as a diary. :p Anyway yeah, it's been a 'first world problems' week for me. Nothing in particular, just that my life is currently best described with the theme. But yeah, one thing that has been bugging me is my damn wrists. I don't know what I've done but the past few weeks whenever I lift anything even vaguely heavy I get a shooting pain in them It started as just my right one but then today it started happening in my left one too. Anyway, back to work. I get in and it's the usual. Get spoken to like a piece of shit straight away and told that we may get a visit because the guy is in aberystwyth (which is about a 2 hour drive from where we are so it's slightly ridiculous). Anyway, we're seriously understaffed atm, used to have 2 people per aisle, now we have 2 people on a shift (there are about 6 aisles to cover in the day :P). The manager for our department is busy on some course so I'm the only one in on the department so they give me the managers phone, tell me to round up 4 people off other departments with a list of jobs all these guys have to do. So I have to walk around, getting random people from the store and telling them to do all these different jobs because this guy might be coming. Obviously these people aren't too happy and don't see the fact that I've been told to do this and instead just get all arsey. But I don't take it to heart, if one of them randomly came up to me and started giving me orders I'd probably be a bit annoyed too but everyone seems to take the job too seriously and because I had to tell a few supervisors what to do they were all like 'why should we listen to you?'. Some people wonder why I keep myself to myself at work but when you have dicks like that it's no wonder. But yeah, the whole day was just the two store managers on my case the whole time, telling me to do one thing, then changing their minds 2 mins later to something else. I was literally all over the place all day. It didn't help that I had to go on alcohol as well because man, dragging those around are pretty heavy for me anyway, and they just ruined my wrists that bit more. In between doing 10 things at once all day were the damn customers and man, they are all just fuming lately. Most of them just kept asking me why there are hardly any staff around and complaining about everything. This one lady asked me why we only do our own brand stuff now in the cake section and I said I'm not sure, I can only imagine it's to do with sales. She wasn't happy and asked to speak to a store manager so I tried ringing them but no answer. After about 2 mins of trying to get hold of these 2 guys she told me she doesn't have the time to stand around, asked for my name and said she'll have a word with customer services. So there's one strike against my name :p It all sounds trivial, and I guess in the grand scheme of things it is. But it just annoys me how literally everyone, staff and customers, don't speak to me as a human. Going to work reminds me of playing Xbox online, it's just a load of people shouting abuse at me and telling me I'm shit. But I have been looking for other work and haven't had much luck yet, so I'll just suck it up and take the age old 'at least you have a job' thing.

I got about £40 for my Club Nintendo Mario coin on eBay. ...And I kind of wish I didn't sell it :p That thing looked nice. Also sold my yellow Pikmin for £15 and KK Slider CD for about £10. This was when I was de-cluttering my room and trying to look somewhat like a normal 20 something before I did a U-Turn and started buying all sorts of crap again. It's the circle of life, I guess. And omg, I might have to get a Pikmin keyring. Though I was hoping they'd have a rock Pikmin, those things are so cute.

I've already booked my trip to Mars on flight 247

That's all I've been thinking, too. It doesn't look terrible, but put Brawl in HD and I'd say there isn't much difference at all. I think the new visual style doesn't help either as it makes some things look less detailed (such as Mario's clothing).

The display in my local GAME store was surprisingly good. Since release, the Wii U was the first thing you saw and it was 2 big shelves. And it didn't even need to be that big because of the amount of games available for the system, quite a few were just boxes of games that hadn't come out yet with 'pre-order' on the box. Opposite that they had a Wii U demo station. I thought maybe Nintendo were paying GAME or something because this amount of spotlight shelf space seemed really weird, but they changed it a few weeks ago and now it's a tiny section in the corner, lumbered with existing Wii things. As for Tesco and ASDA, I haven't seen it in either, ever. We stocked some at work for a while and they said I was literally the only person to buy it from there for the first month :p They don't stock them now either (then again, we recently scaled back games by loads so it's no wonder. The only games we really get in now are like... Call of Duty and FIFA.) It's an uphill struggle from here. I sometimes wonder if it has done more damage releasing it last year than if they'd have just waited to release it now with a wealth of content readily available.

Nah, the only option I get is to cancel.

I keep falling off the mushrooms and my cat is half dead so the upgrades won't do anything for this level :p I think I'm just not in the mood to play, I'll try again after some relaxing Animal Crossing fishing or something :p And here's just a general PS Vita question - Is there any way to get things to install quicker? I've downloaded Katamari and now it just says 'waiting to install'. This happened on quite a few other things before, they'd just wait to install for like a day after downloading 100%
-
I was having so much fun on this but then came up to Chapter 10, with all the mushrooms in space. What an awful, awful level. I don't know if I can bring myself to finish it Will try again later!

I've been off work since Sunday and pretty much just stewing in my own filth ever since but I actually left the house today and had a good driving lesson! I might go to my brothers later as he said he's having a get together, and it gives me an excuse to play on his copy of GTA seeing as my 360 is still broke :p I feel surprisingly refreshed after DAYS of being a hermit. Though I have to wonder if having no interaction outside of Reddit/N-Europe is healthy (but yeah, the driving is the good thing :P) Anyway, another good thing, I've booked a holiday! I haven't been on a proper holiday in years and me and my friend Linzi were just drunkenly saying how nice it would be to go in October or something. Then we realised that for once we actually have a bit of money we can spend and so... we booked it So this time next month I'll be in Tenerife! The only bad thing is, we're going on the same week as the release of SONIC LOST WORLDS but at least that means I won't be silly and buy it at £40.

I somehow forgot he was in it! A bastard architect or something, wasn't he? But yeah, one highlight of episode 3 was seeing Bob Odenkirk (Saul)
-
Yeah, after seeing episode 3 I can definitely agree that this season is far worse than others. I remember the show being over the top, but this is just something else now. When Marshall and Lily look at the camera and start screaming, then gasp for air and start screaming again... It's like something off the Disney Channel, just with sex thrown in.
-
Ok, I'm miles behind but have finally started season 8. I'm halfway through episode 2 and this is nearly unwatchable. I don't know if it has got worse or if I just don't like it any more, it has been about a year since I last watched the show. I'm gonna try and watch episode 3 to see if things pick up!
