A game that is immensely fun cannot be deemed a terrible game. It excelled in achieving its goal. It's like saying a cake was terrible because it was the most delicious thing you ever ate.

Is anyone actually expecting investigators to be worth a fuck this game? What with change alignment passives, protection, Mafia bagsying protector role, etc.

Just so people know, if you pick an active and passive with an agenda in mind and only one is rejected (for me, the active) then I was stuck with an unchangeable passive that didn't work well with my intended next choice of active. Might be worth bearing in mind to submit passives and actives separately and wait for individual confirmations/rejections if you want to coordinate them both.

Obvious bluff. Like you'd tell the Mafia you would protect yourself. Ca'man.

Have I just entered Opposite World?

March is going to be freaking epic for me in terms of gaming. Dark Souls II March 14th Final Fantasy X and X-2 (Vita) 21st March Getting a PS4 with Infamous 3 on 21st March (21st March, what a day) Dark Souls II and FFX/X-2 particularly, can't wait.

We'll see how FFXIV does - that's already on PC/PS3, so if it does decently on PS4 then that'll in part indicate a good uptake. Although from what I'm aware, PS3 owners get a free upgrade to the PS4 version. Good incentive if so.

Town do RNG numbers 1-5. If 1, 2, 3 or 4 protect yourself from all negative stuff. If 5, do something else. Something good (remember Mafia can mask their alignment). Let's flush these guys ahhht. Second - scrap that. Just read the one ability use per turn. Ok, I can see a lot of back and forth PMs going your way Smeagol. :p Town I advise you bag abilities early since I can see Mafia gobbling up alignment investigation etc to stop others taking them. Unless town ability allowance is separate from Mafia's.

I never really gelled with 3D Dot Game Heroes, but Valkyria Chronicles is a must. There's nothing quite like it.

I fully completed it (true ending) quite a while back. The link to your friends was nice but my memory of this game will forever be soured by one of the most monotonous plot devices I've ever experienced in a video game. It had potential with a nice soundtrack and overall presentation (for a 3DS game) but was let down in so many areas. Repetition is a common theme, with both gameplay and story suffering from it. The towns and lack of meaningful sidequests also put a huge downer on the game. I can't help but contrast this to Final Fantasy IX, a game which also has towns with pre-drawn parallax backgrounds and has a similar medieval / steam airship setting. Except that game is better in every fucking way imaginable. It sometimes feels like S-E forgot how to make really amazing games, and in some ways I'm sad that they're making a sequel to this rather than trying something new again. Unless they really change a lot.

So weird. Never expected that given how the show basically imploded a couple of seasons in. Season 1 was amazing, before it got too complicated with characters switching alignment every other episode. It had a clear objective that lent focus to all the other characters' actions, too - "Save the cheerleader, save the world." The seasons after that didn't really come together.

Aye, such a brilliant opening to such a great game. I remember at the time that nothing came close in terms of characters and setting. Still my favourite game.

You also learn why the dad might be ever so slightly fucked up.

Dark Souls Prepare to Die edition (PC) £4 (registers on Steam). If your PC is remotely capable then you have no excuse.

I think it'd be impossible to mention Valkyria Chronicles without saying WUUHHH-ELLLL-KEEEEN *glistening large watery eyes*. That game was the bomb. The glowing blue radiators on the back of tanks also remind me of the small weak spot inexplicably present on the Death Star.

I wouldn't, but they probably would. To that mag, Crash is probably seen as practically their mascot.

A GTA V port isn't very exciting at all though. Don't think it'll be that. Crash seems more likely tbh.

I found ME1 really quite dull, and the interactive story at the start of ME2 replaced it entirely for me.

They probably would be moaning if it was MP too. They need new IP to attract people. If MP3 didn't sell amazingly then you can't expect a MP4 to do well.

Yep, I made my first kickstarter donation for these guys. Only made the cheapest donation that gets Act 1, but feels nice to contribute to something like this.

NHK is brilliant but more depressing than cheerful, really. For the ultimate feel-good comedy anime then definitely try the brilliant Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu. Just don't go and do what I did and go watch regular Full Metal Panic afterwards, thinking it's more of the same. That was a mistake...

We're still yet to find out how long that is. :p
