  1. Watched Mr Robot S04E05 last night - it was really good. My wife and i were watching it, and I noted that the poor security guard was getting a lot of screen time, yet hadn't had any lines yet. I know that in Hollywood, if an extra has lines, they get paid quite a bit more, and I felt bad that the poor guy seemed to have quite a substantial part, but because he hadn't said anything yet, he was being duped out of more money! As the episode went on, and he still didn't say anything, we wondered if maybe the producers were just cheap, but then i realised that none of the characters had said anything through the whole Virtual Realty heist, so maybe it was a conscious decision to increase tension. ...then i realised that in the other little storylines, it had been a while since ANY of the other characters had said anything. Any exposition or conversation had been done my text message, or written note. I told my wife, and she realised that the last thing anyone had said was Darlene saying 'We don't have to talk' right at the beginning of the episode. And so for the rest of the episode, there are no spoken lines at all, right up until the very last shot, where another character says 'We need to talk'. Only two lines of dialogue, bookending the episode, with everything in between done in silence. What's weird is that if we hadn't been talking about the poor security guard, i don't know that we would have even noticed! It's like there was an episode in season 3, where almost the entire episode was done in one long camera shot. Made me wonder how many other episodes did something cool like this, but we didn't even realise. Anyway, yeah, the show is definitely getting better, but i'll be glad when it's over.
  2. Watched Godzilla vs Kong yesterday. It was ok. Visually, it looks pretty good, but as always, they introduce a load of dull humans to follow around that you really don't give a fuck about. I realise that making a 2hour long film just about one long fight would be difficult, but the gaps between the monsters fighting is just lame. Also, the massive ramp up in technology in this film felt a bit jarring. In the previous films, it feels like it's set in the present day, but then in this one they have weird space ships, magnetic tunnels through the earth, magic scanning robots, etc. Anyway, I would give it 7 monke/10.
  3. I'm not Dutch, no. Just enjoy a good crowd pleaser.
  4. Comparing it to global theatre revenue seems a little bit pointless.
  5. I passed Gove once in the street. Was literally within punching distance.
  6. You get the notification that you have a message, but if you want to read it, you need the messenger app. I just wait until I see the notification, download Facebook Messenger Lite, and then delete it again afterwards.
  7. I enjoyed it, but felt there were a few issues.
  8. Oh fucks sake, first episode of Season 4, and another one has shown up, and it's a folksy, fat, lesbian taxidermist.
  9. This happens to be all the time. It's so annoying. Also, photos on Facebook still don't show up correctly on Chrome for Android. It's been an issue for literally years, but they don't give a shit because they want people to download the app.
  10. You are right, Season 3 gets a lot better. I still have issues with it though.
  11. Oh yeah, so I sought out the Minotaur on my last run, and managed to kill him. Went into the Theseus fight with three Death Defies, and a Minotaur on 3/4 health. Still died.
  12. And Tyler Perry's Boo! Truly horrific.
  13. I've reach Theseus and the Minotaur three times now (well Theseus wasn't there the first time for some reason...), and got stomped each time. Decided to switch things up a bit, so I bought back all my purple gems from the mirror and used them to get 3 x Death Defiance instead, so effectively I now have three lives. Currently about halfway through my next run, and managed to get halfway through the fire level without using any of my lives. Looking good!
  14. I think i'm done with trying to get the platinum for this. I think i'm at 75 enemies taken down with the remote mine now, and still no trophy popped up. Seems little point in grinding all the other ones if that one isn't coming, and to be honest, i'm kind of glad for the excuse not to!
  15. So continuing my streak of watching DC films, I watched Aquaman the other day. It's probably my favourite of the recent ones I've seen. It definitely suffers from some shit writing, but the visuals and ideas are pretty fun. I love that they just went all in with the silly costumes and riding around on fish etc (even when they are shown to be able to swim faster than the animals they're riding around on). I do wish that they had been able to develop and explore some of the other underwater nations though - they seemed interesting. Music was pretty great, I loved King Orm's motif that played ominously every time he said anything. Bam bam BAAAAAAAAM! Anyway, 7.5/10.
  16. If they went down that route, they could have had a Scottish Unicorn inspired Pokemon, an English Lion inspired Pokemon, and a Northern Irish.....er......nevermind.
  17. I like a good Kung Fu movie, so I'll watch it, but it really doesn't look like it fits into the MCU at all. Also is his superpower that he's just really really good at fighting?
  18. Maybe if he was faster?
  19. Yeah, I don't think they're ridiculous, because it's only 25 of each that you have to do. And the remote mine one I got to pretty quickly (50) because you can do multiple enemies at once. I hate any platinum that requires you to play through the game a second time, even on easy difficulty. Just a massive time waste that adds nothing.
  20. Let us know how that ship rides, Theseus!
  21. Anyone else watch Line of Duty? I think it's one of the best TV shows there is, and this season seems to be getting better and better (it's like a greatest hits of all the previous seasons!). It's really torturous having to wait a whole week between episodes, especially because we binged seasons 1-5 in a few weeks. In between waiting for Line of Duty and Winter Falcon to air, my wife and I have been watching Mr Robot. We've just finished season 2, and are struggling a bit.
  22. I've been picking away at the requirements for getting the platinum, and I'm wondering if i'll bother. Some of the trophies seem a bit grindey compared to the first (like i'm having to go through and do all the wall and ceiling takedowns, as I didn't even realise you could do this during my playthrough). Getting the 100 hits seems to be a challenge too. One time I got to 97 and ran out of bad guys! Also I seem to have run into the glitch where the trophy doesn't pop up when you get 50 remote mine takedowns. I think you can get around it by manually placing a mine and taking out three guys at once, but i haven't tried it yet.
  23. Thank you for this! Would have taken me many many tries to figure that out on my own.
  24. Currently taking bookings up to a maximum of six.
