  1. It is an online game, but other online games don't kick to title screen unceremoniously (well some do) they instead freeze the game a minute and start a timeout counter. What's wrong with waiting 10-20 or 30 seconds before you boot a single player out. Maybe there is a hidden counter, but I doubt it since my XP was the same and I had literally just killed the last guy about 3 seconds beforehand. It's understandable but annoying and could be alleviated.
  2. Spent an hour doing a mission a bit out of my level (didn't know that when I started) just to do the final firefight annnnnd Delta error kicked to title screen. Fuck. This reeks of that shit Ubisoft pulled with Assassins Creed on the PC where you need to be always online and the second your connection (to their shitty servers) dropped you were kicked out and progress lost. I just loaded at the start of the mission everything lost except the gear and xp.
  3. http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/pools-closed It's 2006 all over again.
  4. I had an issue there as well. Just holding the button down long enough you'll use it even through others are in the way. It is bugged though I tried for a couple minutes and then logged out and back in and it worked first try. So...I don't know. Once past that the intro area is pretty quickly done and then it's off to what we saw in the Beta.
  5. Has this been posted here yet? Seems a appropriate place for it.
  6. Yeah the assholes were doing that in the Beta the first time I played actually. I walked up to them and announced to Party Chat that the pool was closed. The other method would be to just try and reload the instance :/ 4. Fucking. Hours. My wait time on downloading 2.7 GB. That's ridiculous, how are ubisofts servers not up to the task after having 2 Betas. If I got on Steam to download something it'd have to be 10 times that size to take 4 hours.
  7. I really concur that I don't remember most of what I've done so far. I recall bits and pieces but not all of it. More importantly though, Epona...why. Why Epona. I've driven semi trucks with a 30' trailer that handles better. Nothing about Riding Epona is enjoyable.
  8. Whelp. My copy has finally shipped. At 8:20 pm I got the email that it shipped and will arrive tomorrow by 8pm. Amazon didn't give any other shipping details so I plugged the tracking number into UPS, it's being flown next day air from fucking Texas as of 6:50 pm. Amazon Prime is really paying for itself this time haha. Next day can't be cheap especially the 2000 some odd miles it has to travel.
  9. The real gimmick on the iHome would be the lawsuits from Apple.
  10. Just checked mine. Amazon says it arrives tomorrow, but hasn't shipped yet. Sooooo it's not arriving tomorrow.
  11. Fable 2 was a shit game. Because I can not in good faith ever call a game whose pause menu ran so poorly and which such lag a great game. It was fun and mostly well made. It's just that menu was atrocious and shouldn't have been allowed to pass QC. This is sad news though. I was just thinking yesterday that I should go back and beat Fable 3 (never did since my PC ate my saved game). And that got me to thinking I hope a really good Fable game comes out for the Xbone, I'd quite enjoy that.
  12. ^ Nintendo guys coming in here and shitting on our content...:p Honestly, it seems to have been the trend since Season Passes stormed the industry. Basically preordering DLC that we have no easy way of knowing if it's just something cut from the game in order to sell later at a premium or content they truly thought of at a late enough time in the development cycle that it wasn't going to make it in. Planning out a first year worth of content isn't exactly out of the norm, nor asking people to pay for it early. Every developer hopes their game is successful, and in a way a season pass could unfortunately be viewed as a elitist form of Kickstarter. And if the game flops, they've still gotten a bit of money out of it. Titanfall is a wonderful example for this. It didn't exactly set the world on fire, it had a season pass for 3 map packs and it went ahead with the plans to make and release those packs. And then they actually did something kinda cool. They made those map packs free for all versions of the game.
  13. Still waiting for my Amazon copy to arrive Sad to see that it has some small frame drops, but at least it's pretty rare it seems. I did notice for half a second that the GC popped up to 31fps.
  14. Could be possible. Not like Activision is a stranger to publishing on Nintendo consoles occasionally.
  15. I'm jumping in on the side of Blade. That list is 12 games in two years. 1 per month. And all are quality games but they're not all games that everyone likes or wants. And your rude dismissal of wanting 3rd party games go to PS4 insinuates it's wrong of us to like other games. I've seen posts from you, you enjoy those games as well what is so wrong to want for them to release on Nintendo as well. I realize that in the spirit of it being a Nintendo Direct that it is about the 1st/2nd party games more so than 3rd party. Maybe you (Ronnie) should actually look at some of the games Sony publishes(because I want to avoid just listing titles in a derailing manner). And please if you discount them because they're not appealing to you think of others (Blade maybe) discounting the games you listed because they aren't appealing to them. Myself as an example, I don't care for DK Tropical Freeze. Bought it out of nostalgia and shouldn't have.
  16. Don't blame the iPad. I do 99% of my posting from my iPhone.
  17. I preordered it. Not gold edition though. Couldn't bring myself to do that for the Season Pass. I enjoyed the Beta but I'd like to see what they do with the whole thing before I invest further.
  18. The comments in there are a hilarious shit show. Most of the people seem to assume it's for further development. This close to the previous release date, I'm inclined to believe them when they say it's for additional manufacturing time. Interesting this news coming just before the multiplayer stress test this weekend though.
  19. Well not quite. GDDR5 (Graphics Double Data Rate) RAM Was first used all the way back in 2008 on the ATI HD4870 GPU. It's a low latency and high bandwidth memory and following releases of GPUs featured it even on low end models (those that hand no need of the bandwidth.) It was around long enough that there was no reason to not use it honestly, price would not have been prohibitive in 2012/2013. The odd part is that it is different from typical RAM though, so it was a little strange to use it across the system for GPU, and CPU. Obviously though it works. Edit: Oh the other thing about the HD4870 card that was the first to use GDDR5, it cost $300 (£188) and easily beat competing card at $650. (Which was because Nvidia was price gouging at the time, they quickly dropped the price to $499 for the 280 and the 260 dropped from $400 to $300.)
  20. Nope nope, 3 is definitely better than 2. I'm fairly certain they went with a fisticuffs final battle because there was an amount of bitching about Bosses in the previous game. I don't know how much bitching, but I know I think the battles were bullshit with bulletsponge armor. I'm further in the minority that I maintain that the shooting in all 3 games is rubbish. Last of Us was pretty good though. And trudging through the desert being boring, well yeah kinda. I think they were going for the typical juxtaposition to Action part of the game. Which is normally platforming....which its kinda tough to platform a desert I guess. I finally picked up the collection though (I've never beaten the first game so this is a good enough opportunity) annnnnd the disc hasn't left the case in the month I've had it. Pretty sure I pulled off the cellophane though.
