  1. My yank ass has to wait until January 3rd to watch Vengeance Most Foul…. Anywho, watched what I believe was the finale to season 2 of Shrinking. Season 2 had more zany one liners and situations but they still pulled out the serious moments pretty well. Apple ended it with a fade to black but the black was a “if you or someone needs help” message and a link to an Apple webpage. Apples page then breaks it down into categories with links to the appropriate organizations. It’s not much but it’s still nice to see the resources being put out there.
  2. I…..was just making a joke. But! It is interesting to know the naming convention really is basically a coin flip. And good gravy Freezer Thunder and Fire would’ve been boring ass named.
  3. Maybe that’s just a translation error?
  4. Still grinding through Apple shows. Slow Horses is pretty good. Silo season 2 has been good so far. Shrinking season 2 is a great watch. Eagerly waiting on Severance season 2 now. And yes, that’s a ton of shows that start with S
  5. I’ve bought so much. The very most recently though A Third copy of Disco Elysium. I love that game and it’s $10 on Steam so go gets it people. Also on Steam Immortals of Aveum. Saw it mentioned in a YouTube video as under appreciated a few days ago and I checked out the demo and enjoyed it a fair amount. Sucks it’s EA attached, but there is a fun competent new IP shooter in it. Plus the sale has it down to $15. I just remembered this is a website that for most people their sales are different and their prices are extremely different. Anywho also got stuff to get my neglected PC running again and then got more stuff to upgrade it to be 2022 relevant ish. (SSD to bring to life and then 5700X3D and 7900 GRE for funsies)
  6. Of small note, teeny tiny note, appointments (for real positions and not Elons shit) do require confirmation by congress. Its highly unlikely those fucks have the backbone to say no to the impending potus and his obviously wildly poor unqualified choices.
  7. This weekend is the first time I’ve had the house to myself for more than a few hours over the past year. It’s been so relaxing not dealing with my roommate making me anxious the whole time. I decided to go out and pick up a steak and broccoli to cook up tonight and just enjoy while watching the Red Wings get their asses kicked by the Rangers. But for now, time to go out and assault the leaves all over my lawn. It’s a good weekend.
  8. I rewatched the first 6 episodes and finished out the season. I’m now pissed I have to wait until January for more! On the other hand I binged through Silo and enjoyed it well enough and season 2 drops/begins in just over a week.
  9. Feels a bit relevant. Thanks for the wisdom Spider.
  10. And attempted a coup once already Misogyny is underselling it though. There’s also far too many that outright agree with the shitshow, or still others (though fewer) that didn’t like the handling of Palestine or Ukraine and decided to throw away their voice on not voting or a 3rd party. I’ve heard a trans woman whine about that and insinuate not wanting to vote Dem because of the handling of Palestine. Like okay sure, life will definitely get better for you thinking like that. ugh.
  11. I had a bad feeling going to bed. Fucking disgusted
  12. Is this a more uniquely American thing? Which part, ribs or a home smoker? Eitherway, don’t sleep on smoked meats/ribs. Fall off the bone tender, and delicious
  13. Same. I’ve been in and out of oil refineries, coal, and natural gas plants my whole career. I’ve never let that sway how I vote. Nukes are better environments to work in anyways.
  14. I really need to catch up on that. I made it halfway through the first season and was enjoying it. Forget why I dropped off Currently watching Season 2 of Shrinking which is also pretty good. I like the Apple shows but have trouble actually keeping up on most of them. It sort of feels like Apple is speedrunning the Netflix model. Green light a ton of great shows that just don’t get the viewers necessary to justify them, but unlike Netflix they don’t have the same base of viewers. Ah well
  15. Reddit is honestly garbage. Anytime I want to do any sort of formatting I have to look it up and then still get it wrong for stupid reasons. Like paragraph breaks will also break italics. I loathe it for more than shit posting
  16. Never know, Michigan was fairly purple but a lot of red to it the past decade until 2022 the state went full Democrat control for the first time in 40 years. Which might break this year but well, waiting game. Edit: I just realized I’m a dweeb that double posted instead of multi quoted. I am definitely not at the top of my forum game anymore. Too use to the straight ass design of Reddit style comments now.
  17. I’m only a couple minutes away and it was literally no wait time. Just nice to get it out of the way and helps reduce the amount of people day of. Though, my township is tiny so even day of is pretty quick
  18. Annnd voting is completed. Now it’s the waiting game
  19. I’m not a game music person typically. There’s a lot of music I like in game but only a few songs I like to listen to outside of gaming. (Like some Nier music or Dancing Mad) This soundtrack has been a bit of a bop for me. Notables; The Whisper, Playing in the Sun, The Last Tear, The Hero but all of the songs are pretty good and most are catchy.
  20. A celebrity’s endorsement shouldn’t be the thing to sway a person but them being able to openly express their beliefs is important. There is a fair portion of the US where speaking against Trump can have a very real effect on your life. The maga cult is real and they’re armed. A group being targeted by ads right now is married women afraid to vote how they feel for fear their husbands might find out. Celebrity endorsements aren’t always about changing minds. And besides if a celebrity is alienating the people that already didn’t align with their beliefs where is the loss in that besides in their own career? Anywho, early voting is now open in Michigan so I plan to do that tomorrow, or maybe monday after work.
  21. Guy at work put me on to this.
  22. Bautista is still like 240lbs still which is wild Of some note this week, and particularly noteworthy in my home state, Eminem and to an extent ICP have endorsed Kamala. I’m not 100% positive about the members of ICP leading up to this but I know Eminem has never actually endorsed a candidate. He usually just releases music against republicans. Can’t speak as to how big an effect this may have with Detroit being typically blue regardless and the rest of Michigan being….honestly a bit of a shitshow sometimes. (Though last general election the state did go fully blue throughout its higher government which was quite significant)
  23. I’ve played various titles but none I want to talk about so much as Laika: Aged Through Blood. I’m slightly surprised I didn’t see a thread for it but I’m not about to be the one to make it. Game was great. Absolutely brutal storytelling right from the opening to the very damn end. I really enjoyed it overall and loved the music. I’d put it up with the Nier games in terms of music. Gameplay is all solid and serviceable but I could see how some wouldn’t enjoy it. It’s like a fusion of the Trials games with Metroidvania and a small smattering of soulslike. When everything clicks you can feel like an absolute badass, but plenty of times something can go wrong and you flub it and die. On Steam (and I think maybe other platforms) there’s a fairly long demo that I really recommend to make sure the gameplay jives before buying. Progress carries over but can be bugged and may involve moving save files manually from one folder to the other.
  24. 88? HW was that popular? Ugh. Also the 20 year thing doesn’t fully work if that’s accurate because of Ronald goddamned Reagan in 84 and 80 and also looking it up, Tricky Dick Nixon in 72. (Also yes Bush in 88 had the popular vote as well) Jesus the truly disheartening part that should make any American sick to their stomach is that 43M votes to 35M votes (1980 Reagan v Carter) was a staggering 489-49 electoral college votes. Fuck. 1992 is even worse. 44.9M-33M-19.7M resulted in 370-168-0 Fuck the electoral college, I’m done looking at Wikipedia election results now.
  25. I so very much hate the Electoral College. It’s been I believe 20 years since the Republicans have won the popular vote.
