A Short Hike was a very cute game.

I finally finished up the last 3 episodes of season 2. I wasn’t in the right mood/couldn’t find time to watch for a bit there. God damn that last 2.5 hrs. I don’t think it hit quite as high as seasons ones finale but it was pretty damned good.

Service was yesterday. Slowly moving on etc etc Just wanted to say thank you to everyone. I know it’s an awkward as shit subject to be around and shoes on the other foot I hardly ever know the thing to say, or how to follow up for a different subject. It was a nice service. Started with an Elle King song, ended with a Rocky Horror Picture Show song (she knew every damn word in the movie) no one in the family could say anything but friends and bosses and coworkers had very nice things to say. She wasn’t perfect but she’s missed. In other misery, couple days after my mom I lost a cat (old and grumpy I wasn’t truly attached to her but didn’t want this) and my roomies cat is now exhibiting major stroke symptoms. Rains and pours. alrighty someone else have some misery…..or well don’t.

@Glen-i Worth it even if you don’t enjoy the game (I think at least the story you shall). I am actually unbelievably happy someone is playing it after my random gushing about the game. For so long I had no one to talk to about it until I gifted it to my nephew on Steam after forcibly having him try the game on my steamdeck. I literally put in the gift message I was guilting him into playing lol. I really like the damn game. And the music (like a ton, like listen to it out of game). Hope you enjoy the game and also start harping on people to play a criminally overlooked game

So fucking good. There is so much happening in each episode and it doesn’t even feel rushed or truncated. Each moment gets the amount of time necessary. I really need to force everyone else I know to watch but most people don’t have AppleTV

Smart TVs Firesticks Xbox and PlayStation all offer the Apple TV experience without an Apple device. And yeah, Apple TV has some great shows and is somehow never talked about. It is odd

To jump off this some last night after liking decidedly non fascist bullshit while scrolling reals on instagram it gave me a reel of a self proclaimed “White Nationalist” defending Hitler. Which was an immediate report block and closing of the app. I had the algorithm fairly straightened out and hadn’t gotten any crap like that since Musk buying Twitter I think. I’m guessing with the changing of the regime in the US some of these corps are going to be pushing this rhetoric harder than they were previously. This feels a tad off topic of how the rest the posts have been but feels on brand if I only look at the thread title. I think everything is on track to get worse

The soulsborne elements are limited to dropping your currency and the bonfire type of respawn that’ll respawn enemies. But it bears mentioning that you can have multiple viscera bags dropped to collect and you only ever drop half the total I believe. I actually gifted the game to my nephew around Christmas and joked that I was guilting him into playing it so I had someone to chat with about it. He did actually really enjoy it though. I really like the damn game and the music.

Yeah tickets here were pretty expensive as well. Had to go to a resale website because Ticketmaster sucks so hard and had nothing available

Honestly years of being spoiled with whole season releases for binging has left me pretty satisfied with Apple doing weekly episodes. It’s something to look forward to and adds a small touch of structure to week, as opposed to rotting a whole day/afternoon/evening/weekend away watching an entire series. Plus, unlike the old days there’s no FOMO on weekly episodes. I fell out of watching Lost on TV because it’s timeslot moved to share with something my mom watched so that was the end of Lost for me to be able to watch. Streaming removes that, at worst catching up is delayed. Anywho, Severance has already well surpassed Breaking Bad for me. I was never that enamored with that show though. Never even finished the final season actually. There’s episodes of Futurama I’d put higher.

Over the past weekend binged the hell through the Alien franchise. Alien-Great Aliens-Great Alien 3-Good (fight me) Alien Resurrection-GARBAGE (where’s the sicko on here that places it above 3? We need to schedule a fight!) Prometheus-(Skipped this time since it’s recently watched but it’s)good Alien Covenant-Bleeeeh. Alien Romulus-Not terrible nearly good, until that scene that is inexplicably dumb and awful and you know the one and if you defend it….wow. New Years was recent US Godzilla vs/X Kong movies with the fam. Fine but definitely kept thinking I could just watch Pacific Rim. Exactly this moment, Blade Runner 2048- in progress.

My yank ass has to wait until January 3rd to watch Vengeance Most Foul…. Anywho, watched what I believe was the finale to season 2 of Shrinking. Season 2 had more zany one liners and situations but they still pulled out the serious moments pretty well. Apple ended it with a fade to black but the black was a “if you or someone needs help” message and a link to an Apple webpage. Apples page then breaks it down into categories with links to the appropriate organizations. It’s not much but it’s still nice to see the resources being put out there.

I…..was just making a joke. But! It is interesting to know the naming convention really is basically a coin flip. And good gravy Freezer Thunder and Fire would’ve been boring ass named.

Still grinding through Apple shows. Slow Horses is pretty good. Silo season 2 has been good so far. Shrinking season 2 is a great watch. Eagerly waiting on Severance season 2 now. And yes, that’s a ton of shows that start with S

I’ve bought so much. The very most recently though A Third copy of Disco Elysium. I love that game and it’s $10 on Steam so go gets it people. Also on Steam Immortals of Aveum. Saw it mentioned in a YouTube video as under appreciated a few days ago and I checked out the demo and enjoyed it a fair amount. Sucks it’s EA attached, but there is a fun competent new IP shooter in it. Plus the sale has it down to $15. I just remembered this is a website that for most people their sales are different and their prices are extremely different. Anywho also got stuff to get my neglected PC running again and then got more stuff to upgrade it to be 2022 relevant ish. (SSD to bring to life and then 5700X3D and 7900 GRE for funsies)
