(Didn't want to hi-jack the Hearthstone thread any more, so I'll reply here) No, not the Steam versions, that's not the real game. You can download a client from the official site, and then you can play a proper digital version of Magic. It's exactly the same as the paper versions, you buy cards, build decks, and play against other people. You miss out on some of the fun of collecting and playing with physical cards, but there are plenty advantages too. If you download the client, you can try it out for free. You get a set of "fake" cards. They're just there to give you a taste of the game. You can play with them, but you can't trade them. If you do want "real" cards, you can get the cheap ones for free as well, they're usually given away by the more experienced players. That said.. In the previous post, I said I wasn't currently playing it. However, the talk got me in the mood, so I downloaded the new client, bought some new cards, and played a bit. But the new client is worse than the old one. The old one wasn't fantastic, but got the job done. With the new one, it's hard to keep the overview. And it's extremely slow.. I had some fun with the crappy decks I built with my new cards, but the experience with the client wasn't good at all.

I was about to post this. I loved their previous game, Contrast (the only critique I have it's too short). The artstyle in Contrast was fantastic, and this looks to be no different. And it looks to have the Bioshock flavour of creepy as well, awesome. I don't need any more info to pre-order.

I subscribed to their newsletter, but I need to see footage before I get excited. So now, I wait. Or rather, I forget about it until there's news.

I gave that short 6 minutes before I gave up. Incredibly boring, fighting choreography was abysmal (that's when I gave up). Tone was totally different from the scene before it. Now I'm not a Power Ranger fan, and I barely recall seeing some of the first show, but I didn't get any Power Rangers vibe from that video, regardless if it was meant as a parody, a gritty version, or a parody of gritty versions.

I'm currently not playing Magic, but I've invested over $ 300,- in digital cards, and those aren't going away. I can see some appeal to players new to TCGs, but personally I prefer the plethora of options in Magic. And a quick side note, if you want to be competitive in Magic, then yes, you need to invest some money, but if you just want to play and have fun, you really don't have to spend much. In fact, you can play for free too, but your options are somewhat limited then.

Did you upgrade the forum in any way? I just noticed it in the funny stuff thread. You used to get an ugly bar above your image if it's too big, and you could click it to get a bigger version. Now the bar is gone, you can just click the image, and you get a nicer looking pop-up box.

I haven't found any official announcements yet, but there are reports of another Pokemon Nendoroid, Nendoroid Cynthia: Maybe @Serebii has some details? Anyway, the reports say it will be an exclusive again, and will be released in July. She also comes with a pokemon. And on the subject of Pokemon Nendoroids, the US pokemon centre didn't have enough stock of Nendoroid Red, so prices for him are through the roof. It's really ridiculous, Japanese versions are being sold for 15000 yen (i.e. more than 3 times the original price). If you missed out on him, and want this Cynthia Nendoroid, you may want to try proxying this time. Just to be clear: I generally agree I shouldn't judge films on their trailers alone. However, I've also come to trust my intuition, which is more right than it is wrong. Elysium's trailer looks bland. There's a chance I may enjoy the film if I do decide to watch it, but the fact that a lot of people didn't really like it , or found it mediocre, doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence. So that chance that I may still like it is very small. Chappie however.. I'm not exaggerating when I say that to me, that trailer is downright offensive. Every time that girl utters anything, I want to punch her in the face. The premise is generic, which in itself isn't a problem, but the trailer doesn't show anything that may elevate it beyond its initial premise. The bits of script that are presented don't sound very good. I'm not fan of the robot design, which seem to be anime inspired, but infused with this Neill Blomkamp style. But the biggest problem is the casting of people who aren't actors. There's not just a chance I won't like this film, it's guaranteed. As for District 9, I honestly can't remember much of the film, or why I didn't like it. I believe I didn't like the 2nd half, when the guy started to transform. I think the film just ended up being a generic sci-fi action film during that 2nd half, and I just wasn't impressed with it. It did have an interesting premise, which is why I was looking forward to it. I liked the setting. Yet all I remember is being disappointed. No, the Neill Blomkamp style just isn't for me.

Well it's obvious that the director doesn't have a good track record in my opinion. Of course that's not the end all be all, but it makes sure I won't be interested in the film beforehand, and it takes a ridiculous amount of good word of mouth before I'll even consider to go see it. It's the exact same reason why I won't see the next Michael Bay film for example, whatever that may be.
