Majora's Mask Link Nendoroid prototype.

Yeah.. I'm still waiting for Tales of Graces for Wii. Not sure if I should reward them by buying another Tales game, on PC.. Then again I'm in the mood for one. Though I'm definitely not going to pay 50 Euros for it. Not for digital at least.

I have a strong distaste for anything Minecraft, and I was originally going to skip this one Telltale game, but seeing that voice cast.. I'm doing a 180° here (and I haven't even watched that trailer).

Less than a day for the kickstarter.. I went for the CAD$ 60,- tier. Hopefuly that makes up for missing the Yooka Laylee and Bloodstained deadlines (I can still be a slacker backer!)

I didn't know this was a thing. http://store.steampowered.com/app/334230/

Customisations are mostly working I think, so if you want to express yourself in my game, take another look at your options in the spoiler, and send a PM . Here's how it currently looks like using my test values.

It's been a while since I modded a game, but it's been even longer since I've actually played one. I'm in. That said though.. 12 hour nightphases will just make a lot of people miss the deadline (and makes for akward day-nightcycles).. 24 hours should be the minimum for any phase.

Let's hope I don't get confused :p. Current plan is Sunday 22:00 UK. In other words an easy target for the other players .
-
To accommodate you I'll run this in the weekend then. I have plans myself, so I don't know if it'll be Saturday or Sunday, leaning Sunday at the moment.

@Dr\. bob / @DuD / @Cube How does Friday night 22:00 UK sound? Or do you prefer Thursday? Or another time? If we do this Friday, I'll have enough time do implement customisation (see below), which will make it more fun. I also forgot to mention, timing is important, so how fast you send in your PM. At least when shooting, it doesn't matter when dodging. So if Mario and Luigi both shoot each other, the one who sends in their PM first wins (so like an actual duel then). Also, if Luigi shoots Yoshi, but Mario shoots Luigi and sends in the PM first, Luigi dies and Yoshi lives. If you dodge it doesn't matter when you send in your PM, you will dodge all normal attacks regardless of timing, except focus attacks. Oh and focus attacks have priority so if if Mario and Luigi shoot each other, and Luigi sends in the PM first, but Mario has used focus in the previous round, Mario still wins.

I'm doing some last minute testing, but everything seems to be working, only one sentence that doesn't make sense, but I'll fix that later. Seems to be fully functional, so I'll keep sign-ups open for another hour, otherwise I'll run this on one of the next couple of days. edit: This is currently what the results look like: Results: Samus hits Luigi with an undodgeable bullet. Mario is focussing. Yoshi shoots Fox but misses. Ness dodges for no reason. Kirby shoots Link. Fox dodges Yoshi's bullet. Freshly added to the pile of bodies (i.e. you're dead): Luigi Link ######### edit: Nah, I'm going to bed. It seems to be fully functional, apart from some unlogical sentence constructions.. I'll try to polish it some more and ad some customisation options. I'll probably run this Thursday or Friday evening. You can sign up for then.

Yeah, I lost motivation after turn 1, and then my own fuck-up didn't help things. Not sure if I should've started this game at all though. Anyway, out of principle I still want to continue the game at some point, but I've gotten other plans in the meantime. I've neglected my film watching duties, so I'll catch up tuesday and wednesday, and I've been preparing / coding other games for another site (one of which I may testdrive here tonight if I can finish preparations in the next few hours). Anyway for this game: perhaps it would be better to start over, but right now I'm thinking I'm ready to continue (and accept PMs) this on thursday, with the deadline on Sunday night.

Which I'm sure they'll be using for larger distances, but I'm just going of gameplay footage, particularly one posted by Drahkon on the first page: From 1:30 to 2:30, there's no warp drive. He's in space in no time, and I suspect those large asteroids should be visible from the surface. Then the other planet is clearly in sight from the moment you enter space, but let's assume one of them is a moon. Then at 2:18 when the player enters the other planet's atmosphere, it happens in no time at all. Then back to space at 2:55 in just a few seconds. I find it a little jarring. Again, it's obvious it's not going for realistic, but the sci-fi which taught me otherwise, also isn't necessarily realistic. But again, it's a minor complaint.

I don't "thank" much in general. I prefer the higher quality figures in general (like this one or this one), but it's a cool collection nonetheless. From what I see they're prize figures, so they're harder to get than regular figures.. I'm not that much into Figmas, although I have Lucina coming up. But I would have loved the Snake nendoroid though. Anyway, they're great for photography.. Which I should be doing. Most of my figures are still in their boxes, since I can't be arsed to decorate my room. I do have some pictures I posted on facebook.. A quick one that won me another Disney Infinity figure: I only won because there were few entries anyway, and half of them didn't even know what they were supposed to be doing.. Anyway, I got a Tinkerbell. And that cake was disgusting. I haven't gotten a lot of figures the last year, most are of the Nendoroid variety. I have a bunch coming up though. Anyway, made a quick picture of the 3 in front of my monitor: Titan, Sinon, and Hatsune Miku.

Sure, but you're not traveling at the speed of light.. It's (seemingly) the same speed that you use to fly over the surface. Anyway, I assume I'd enjoy the game, and this wouldn't stop me from enjoying it, it's just a minor complaint, a personal preference.
-
I generally like the look of the game, I may buy this at some point for PC. Although I don't like the sense of scale / distances. I know the game isn't going for "realistic", but I find it immersion breaking if flying through the atmosphere to reach the surface takes like, 5 seconds, and reaching other planets also doesn't take long. As long as the visuals are nice (and they are), I don't mind flying through clouds or empty space for a bit.

I've commented on other sites (/film to be precise): I absolutely loved Andrew Garfield (and I loved Emma Stone even more, but that aside). Garfield was perfect. I understand why they want the two "universes" to be separate, but all that needed to be done to satisfy the nerds was issuing a statement that says: "Andrew Garfield will be cast as Spider-man, but the canon from the Amazing Spider-man will be discarded, and Garfield will play a new Spider-man." For the nerds that's clarifying enough. For the casuals, this won't matter at all. Some may be a bit confused, but that's not going to affect box-office numbers in itself. To be frank, those casuals will be more confused now, with a different Spider-man ("why is it a different actor?"). Anyway, it doesn't matter now, it's all decided.. Personally I'm not happy with it (yet), I worry that "shoehorning in Spider-man" into the MCU will negatively affect the films. I was personally looking forward to The amazing Spider-man 3 (I know I'm in the minority), but currently I have zero hype for the new solo Spider-man, even though I'm hyped for everything else: Ant-man, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, and to lesser extent Black Panther and Inhumans. Keep in mind that I'm no comic guy, and I know none of these, but until Tom Holland has proven himself, I'm looking more forward to all of those than Spider-man. I don't know the actor (apparently, I've heard him in Locke), so I have no idea what to expect. I'll say this though: I do like the look of him, he looks more like a Spider-man than Asa Butterfield, who was long rumoured to be in the running for the role. If Asa had gotten the role, my hype for everything MCU would have taken a significant hit. But for now: I'm going to enjoy Ant-man (first impressions seem good), and then I'll look forward to Captain America, hoping Tom Holland will put aside all my worries. And a final note: I wonder how much this will affect the Netflix shows. Spider-man would / should have more of a direct impact on their shows than the other films have.

<sigh> If you need a mod who's only job it to clean up spam and ban bots at moments other mods don't seem to be around, I volunteer.

Haven't posted anything about ep 2 apparently, and I won't now: ep 3 is out, as of now. I'll report when it's downloaded and played. And.......... This can definitely be moved out the Nintendo forums and into the other consoles thread (unfortunately, but alas).

I watched most of that video, but skipped the boss dialogue battle. And it'll be the last video I'll watch. It's been a while since I pre-ordered a full retail game like this one. I did wait until they announced some sort of a releasedate, I don't want it to interfere with other orders, but it's in 2016, so everything's ok. Pre-ordered directly from Square-Enix. Bought some digital stuff from them before, like Life is strange, but this is the first physical thing I've ordered. Probably not the last, they also have cute plushies! Anyway, they were pretty reasonable. No discount, but at least they're asking a normal PC-game price (as opposed to a PC game with the price of a console game), and no shipping cost. 50 Euros total.

Ooh.. Such a shame. Could've been a great example of sarcasm.. But you had to ruin it with your follow-up post.. Anyway, the above discussion (all of it) is exactly the kind of thing that bores me to tears, so it seems to me, this thread had the opposite effect. I'll go back to discussing games.

I'm sure I mentioned this somewhere here, General PC thread probably. Anyway, it's a lovely indie game from the writer of Silent Hill: shattered memories, which has been released yesterday. The problem: gameplay-wise it's refreshing but incredibly simple, and the rewards come from the story itself, so I can tell little about it.. Basically, you're accessing an archaic computer with video files from interviews with a woman somehow involved in a murder case. Unfortunately the videos are fragmented, so to uncover the story you must search the database for the videos using keywords. Imagine you're searching youtube for videos, but the videos provide keywords to search for other videos. Personally I'd describe the game as a jigsaw puzzle but with video. On paper, this may sound boring to some, but to me it sounded intriguing, and I loved Silent Hill: shattered memories, so this was an instant pre-order (especially for that price, and I'm proud to have my name in the credits :P). I tell you, the story, the writing, and the actress, they're all great. I'm not sure you should watch a trailer or read anymore, but here's a trailer if you need it: It's a short game (/interactive story), but it's only 5 dollars. Official site (cheaper than on Steam, and you still get a Steam key) @Steam Available on PC / Mac / Iphad I have not unlocked all the videos yet, but looking at the discussions, there seem to be even more to the story than I uncovered.. If there are more people here trying it, we can talk spoilers!
