I do find your note strange, pal. I mean, it doesn't sound like something a townie would send, but it also sounds like a dumb thing for the actual mafia to send..
-
Thanks a lot, pal.

Your actions were..?

Haha, cool, must be vote-immune then! Anyway, still need to hear from Dannyboy and Marcamillian.
-
Because you did nothing, or because you were unsuccesful? Anyway, I think most of us have mentioned something about our activities. I'd like to get something more from The Peeps, but we've yet to hear from Marcamillian at all. For now I'll vote vote: Dannyboy. His first and only post is pretty fluff, appearing helpful, but not actually divulging anything himself.

Would like to see some more reports.

Finally went to see my 100th film this year. Since last post: Ventoux imdb ♥♥♥♥♥ Dutch film. It was ok. De surprise imdb ♥♥♥♥♥ Another Dutch film which was ok. A guy wants to end his life, so he enlists the help of an organisation which specializes in exactly that. But then he falls in love with a woman who's also a customer.. Especially given the subject matter, I'd expected a more modern feel, but the film was enjoyable regardless. Mad Max: fury road imdb ♥♥♥♥♥I've never seen the previous films, so I went solely based on good word-of-mouth. The setting and premise never interested me previously. Basically it's Borderlands, but without the humour (and yes I know, it's the other way around..). That said though.. It actually didn't disappoint. Story-wise it's simple, but action-wise it was great. A bunch of great characters, including bad-ass grannies. My major complaint is the 3D, it's abysmal, and another great example of why you shouldn't convert to 3D. But there's a big chance I'll go see how it looks in 2D next week. Schneider vs. Bax imdb ♥♥♥♥♥ And another Dutch film. I liked the previous film of the director (Borgman), but this did very little for me. Two hitmen are pitted against each other. Blade runner (the final cut) imdb ♥♥♥♥♥No need to explain. Looked great on a big screen. The age of Adaline imdb ♥♥♥♥♥ Nice story, but was hoping for more. The film could do with more backstory and flashbacks, and less of the medical explanation of Adaline's condition, which only detracted from the story. Journal d'une femme de chambre imdb ♥♥♥♥♥ Watched this for Léa Sedoux. Incredibly annoying costume drama. Because the setting is old fashioned doesn't mean the film itself should be old fashioned.. And we barely get to know the protagonist's motivation. Taxi Teheran imdb ♥♥♥♥♥ I don't normally watch overly political films, but this one was pretty creative in how it adressed the subject matter. The director plays himself, as he drives a cab and talks with his customers. The face of an angel imdb ♥♥♥♥♥ Not quite sure what to think of this one actually, though I did love the atmosphere and Italian setting. And it was nice to see kate Beckinsale again, despite the American accent. Infinitely polar bear imdb ♥♥♥♥♥Great dramedy with the Hulk vs. Gamora. Mark Rufalo plays a husband with bi-polar disorder, who needs to look after the kids while his wife, well ex-wife goes back to study. Anyway, it was great, touching and funny. The kids were adorable. Testament of youth imdb ♥♥♥♥♥Unlike the French film above, this is a great example of a costume drama. Great performances, and great but sad story. La isla Mínima imdb ♥♥♥♥♥ Can't put my finger on it, but didn't enjoy this. It's like they rushed to make a Spanish True detective film. I never had the idea I was watching actual detective work, or an actual story for that matter.. I don't know. The setting was nice, creating a nice atmosphere, and I liked the overhead shots, but that's all I have to say about it. The one I love imdb ♥♥♥♥♥My 100th film. And a great one. The less you know, the better. Great little indie film, that starts as a romantic comedy, and ends as something else. A couple (Mark Duplass and Elisabeth Moss) are sent to some house in the country by their relationship counselor, to invigorate their mariage. Things take a strange turn there.. Go see it.

I don't know what to say. He was responsible for many years of entertainment. I'm guessing for me personally, I've been playing his games since Kirby's adventure. I'll miss his Nintendo directs.
-
I have nothing to add; like Cube, my break was uneventful.
-
Looking really good:
-
Yeah, Jimbob in one of my games.
-
vote: mr-paul His avatar is bigger and different. I should play the games again.
-
Yeah, I gathered that . I haven't played a Pokémon game beyond Pocket Monsters Green, so I only know the likes of Ash, Gary, Brock and Misty. He looks cool though, and I've decided to collect 'm all anyway, well, aside from Isabelle who's missing. Chrom looks nice though. Nice clean packaging as well. I'll stick to the Nendoroids (and scales), but I like the design. edit: Oh, and Lucina has been delayed to August, so it will probably somewhere in September when you receive her. edit 2: And speaking of Brock, I forgot this sexy dude: But it's another exclusive.

Maybe a sticky thread in the general forums, for all online games? You don't have to deal with the "clutter" of normal discussion, and I suspect smaller games won't get lost in there either. And then it would be great if someone updates the OP to display the status of current online meet-ups.

Can't imagine them doing another one after this one. Not from the original trilogy at least. Instant pre-order, though I'm not that hyped myself, but I need one for the collection. Some other SDCC bishoujo announcements: Sniper Wulf (Metal Gear Solid) Spider-Gwen (Spider-man) And also: Lady Deadpool, Ibuki (Streetfighter), and another Harley Quinn. Plenty of stuff directly from DC collectibles as well, but none that interests me much. And plenty of stuff from Hot Toys. 1/6 Tie Fighter Storm Trooper Maria Hill Ant-man Ada Wong Complete list: http://www.tomopop.com/sdcc-2015-hot-toys-booth-36861.phtml And when you have all the Hot Toys Avengers it looks like this: It's a good thing I don't want them all..

I have no idea who he is, but I'm getting him anyway. Really wished I had gotten one of those Isabelle nendoroids though.. Now my Nintendo Nendoroid collection is incomplete! Anyway same deal, 5000 yen, exclusive, so only available at amazon.co.jp or a physical Pokemon store in Japan, with a possible release at the American pokemon store. Up for pre-order as soon as Cynthia is released I think. Slated for release in November. edit: Also, I think I forgot to post this one: Also slated for November.

Getting a bit tired of Star Wars news to be honest.. I'll go see Star Wars VII and Rogue one. I did like the sound of that. But those need to convince me (and make me forget the last trilogy) first before I consider seeing the others.. If Star Wars VII is more than decent, I'll make a little trip to see it a 2nd time in Dolby Cinema. It's supposed to be the first (or one of the first) to make use of that technology.

Just skimmed the last few pages, and noticed Wii was banned. Since I stay away of discussion, I have no idea what the reason was, or even if the ban was fair or harsh, I only know I generally liked him as a member, so I hope it's a temp-ban.

I'm planning to be gone for most of the day on Tuesday and Wednesday. Although I don't always follow up on those plans, but we'll see.

Next time. If I'm online, and you can round up 4+ players in 5 minutes, I can run this in no time. Oh and @Cube, I see you viewing, I checked last night, the chat web client doesn't let me paste multiline content. So I need a normal client.. Assuming those will let me paste that stuff, can't remember. But I need a good and free one, or I can't be arsed.

I'll comment on this in the evening. Going to bed now. But.. Maybe we should split this discussion off into its own topic. Every post that doesn't have anything about the mexican standoff. No. Yup, that was the initial thought on mafiascum. I decided last second to remove the write-ups, with only the kills remaining. Adds more excitement perhaps, but removes the hilarity. And post-game, the same player who suggested to remove them, didn't think it would matter overall, as did I. I don't think it matters in the grand scheme of things.. Except the final duel. I should end it with 2 players remaining, when one has focussed and one not. But with more players remaining, there's still a chance you survive, so you still need to do something. Perhaps there are other solutions than removing the write-ups, I'll think about it. But next time, I could remove the write-ups here as well, see how you like it. No one actually bothered with customisation .

I'm not familiar with many boardgames.. I need to see it in action. For those interested, I playtested a new set-up on mafia scum during the marathon just now. People were tired, so not everyone was playing properly, so the game didn't really go as intended. I got positive feedback from the players who did seem fully conscious though. You can check the set-up in the OP, and comments on the last page. The day discussions you can ignore. http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=62554 Oh and god damn.. Vote counting is intense when you have 30 minute day phases.. I'm not ever doing that manually again.

It probably is, but I have no experience with existing forum software. But it will be purely cosmetic, and have no real advantage over just using bold tags. It starts to get interesting when you can apply game logic to tags, but that's harder to do. Forum packages like this one are not built to cater to forum games, they need extensive modding. Databases need to be modded. See my reply to Cube, it's more complicated than that, especially if you want it to cater to players here, we do things differently. Sure, if you want the vanilla experience, that's less hard to do, but we remix our roles here much more than they do. There can be so many variations with different intricacies. I really had to think about it, and break abilities down to the core concepts for the riot mafia. That's the only way to make something all (or most) encompassing. Definitely not impossible, but I don't want to trudge through existing code (which I don't understand) to add my own stuff, so that's why I prefer building a dedicated site for it. No problem, but it's a mess though . Just coded until I got the result I wanted, but some queries are unnecesary (or rather, they should be moved up, or implemented as joins in other queries. But I'm a single user, so I can use all the queries I want, as long as I get the data I want. How / where do you want it? (the code I mean, not ).Do you want the PHP though? What exactly do you want to see? Edit: also keep in mind I'm using MySQL.
